This is how I found out about GWAR as a young saxophone player who enjoyed The Aquabats and now I have a mutated metal band of my own!
I think it would be a fitting tribute to Dave if a group of animators took this and did a colab to bring it to life. Just sayin'.
I always start this just to remind myself it exists and I always end up listening to the whole thing. Two of the best bands to ever clash on-air.
I love how extra hammy Dave Brockie is in this. Hail Oderus!!!
This is the best thing I’ve ever listen to
"Did Less Than Jake cancel on them again..."
Oof.
This....This exists?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Man back then the aquabats were evil, I always forget that for some reason.
I mean, Bat Commander outright said that the Aquabats did want to take over the world at one point
@@Daveonimus Well, to put context behind that the Aquabats wanted to conquer the world (via music) so they could overthrow Space Monster 'M' and liberate their fellow Aquabanians. They were on their own mission, and just really wanted to look out for their own people instead of the rest of the world.(It wasn't in danger anyways in The Return Of The Aquabats era) But as soon, as Space Monster 'M' put out hits on the Aquabats and more and more villans started coming after them and the entire world started to get threatened due to this army of villains' causing havoc and chaos. the Aquabats began to become the ''superheroes'' you know today
I hope GWAR takes their revenge one day....

I had a much worse quality version of this radio show. I don't believe it was the whole thing, but this is where I learned about gwar, and though I never listened to them much, I always felt they were the mutant metal version of the aquabats. Just a silly band that knows how to have fun with the genre of music they enjoy.

YOU. SHALL. PAY.

I can’t tell what kind of genre Saddam A Go Go fits into because it feels very metal-ska because of them horns
