What if Italy is actually able to hold, but Germany isn't?
Well time to find out in yet another HOI4 Multiplayer game where Dankus is finally back on Italy!
Also obviously this was a loss for everyone in the Axis, we're not implying that it was lost only because of Germany.
All of us played meh and this is a combined loss.
Tbh I don't even have to say this, but I'm doing it just in case you guys take this as an invitation to flame the Germany or anyone else.

So it looks like the strat is, sacrifice navy to boost Japan. Sacrifice Africa for d day wall given you will lack the Navy to challenge the allies.
In turn the allies went for Air and Sea power Britian, and Tank minors.
Which kind of makes the D-Day wall strat weaker as no one can suppress the air dominance when Germany focuses less on controlling air power.
Japan can build more soldiers and navy and dominate pacific and force Allies to focus India then take Africa themselves while Germany can focus on Russia with as much power as possible.
All viable stats of sacrificing yourself for boosts to your allies.
But. Japan didn't do that well.
Germany didn't do that well.
And the Minors didn't micro as well as they could have to support the majors.
So Dankus would probably have been better served threatening in Africa and forcing the allies to suffer air casualties with more AA in his infantry template.
Or paratrooping behind the allies into Africa to force them to garrison the map.

@@coper2098 honestly Italy should have sent some divisions to Russia in exchange for some QRF light armor in France and Italy.
Then stick those divisions in places hard to hold and help contribute to the micro war by blocking hostile armour and holding plains behind the line to stop surrounds by just being there.
Sitting at home as a hard wall is fine but you aren't grinding generals, nor contributing APM to the war effort.
Need to abuse the whole '6 nations co-operating' fact
I mean, Spain's at fault for practically blitzing through the civil war and making EXP scarce.
He also said it very clearly that the point of the D-day wall strat is to give up Africa, and focus on army to fight off naval invasions.
And given that Dankus was covering most of Germany's coastline I don't think it should have been too much to ask for some help from his allies. Their reason for complaining basically boiled down to "Fuck off, we're already dying" which seems more like a skill issue on Germany's part.

It seems to balance out because you need all that to protect against the risk of invasion that immediately presents.
