I’m currently going through this.. I’m literally getting depressed over this. I have very dark circles under my eyes and I can not cover them because of my watery eyes. I always get people telling me that I need to sleep More, why am I crying, what’s wrong, are you ok!! It’s never ending.
Hi Michael, I’m an optometrist practicing in Canada. In busy practice, it’s challenging to explain to patients the causes of their problems in the hope that they would be more compliance with the treatment plans. I love that your video have an overview and diagrams to explain the problem all in a short and sweet ~5 minutes video! I’ll refer patients to watch your videos for educational purpose. My right eye waters constantly. When I wear makeup I have to keep a small makeup sponge near to dap the tears. When I yawn the tears flow. I think my issue is a combination of dry eyes and allergies.
Hi doc, I've had a tearduct surgery on the right eye after having a "smart" plug stuck in there. That surgery was back in 2015. Ever since then, my right eye started tearing insanely. At first the doctor told me because my tear ducts new and the hole had become huge after the surgery. But the size didn't change and I still tear only on the right eye. Whenever its windy, when I'm extra tired, when I'm feeling sick, when I'm focusing on something, when it's cold, my right eye always tears so much that I could even fill a shot glass. I have the dry eye syndrome but according to many ophthalmologists, my right eye isn't particularly more drier than the left. So they don't know the cause, which means they can't fix. What could be the cause of this? What do you suggest I try?
Thank you dr Michael. I wish I lived in LA i would be your patient. I live in Australia and my opthamologist is not very helpful but i do have a wonderful optometrist who looks after my eye health.
Dr. Chua: I respect my opthalmologist; he's good. He performed laser cataract surgery on me in 2017, eliminating my dependence on contacts for years. I can now see long distance, which is great. However, as far as dry eye, all he recommends are warm compresses and PF lubricant drops..not much help. I've tried lid scrubs..nothing. it makes me uneasy to consider I may have blepharitis or eye mites (yikes!). I wish I was in LA, but, I live in NY. Any suggestions? I really enjoy your channel and find it comforting. Thank you. Rosemarie
Hi Rosemarie, it’s hard to give effective suggestions without an examination. Has your ophthalmologist considered prescription eye drops such as Restasis or Cequa? Or perhaps punctal plugs? If there’s a component of blepharitis or ocular rosacea, perhaps eye ointments or doxycycline? Treating dry eye can be a challenge and sometimes requires a few rounds of trial and error before settling on a regimen that works for you. Good luck!
Yes Dr. Michael I am looking at you are you to and when you say do I have watery teary eyes yes I do and it comes from dry eyes my doctor said that my eyes was dry what can I use to make them healthy and stop running like I’m crying thank you so much this is a 70 year old lady must keep my eyes strong

Thank you Dr Michael for your advice, I had lasik surgery in March, during the day and constantly using systane eye drops I can read from far, but when night hits, my vision gets blurry, I’ve talked to my surgeon but she says it could take up to a year for my eyes to settle. I’m wondering is if this is true- what’s your opinion?
My eyes tears every seconds. Doesn’t matter who or what I’m around or what season of the year. This been going on for a decade 😢😢😢😢 Tried every eye drops. I need to find a treatment.
Exactly thé samé thing Is happening to me, I Have this problém fór more then 8years, my doctor said there Is no way to get rid of it, but Its So hard to live with this, when I Have to wipe my eyes every 10 seconds..
@@AerialVisions86Im glad Im not alone in this, I thought Its pretty rare, I dont know anyone else who has this problem, Heard Its more Common with Elderly people, but Im only 22:(
my left eye is watering and my vision is blurry it doesn't go away, the doctor checked my eye and its fine like my right eye (except vision 6/12) and my OCT is only in 10 days from now.. anything i can do?
Hello Michael, I live in Germany and been in 5doctor. All doctors told me nothing can be done. It is becoming worse by the day. Then one doctor told me it's because am using depression medication. Tell me what to do

Even with little wind my eyes start watering and when i go out in sunlight i feel like fainting due to watery eyes...

Yes I’m the same,mom absolutely sick of it, I need a cure my doctor has made me used lots of different things, nothing working at the moment.
Do you have any thoughts on collagen and silicone punctual plugs? Are they bad, good, dangerous? Are they okay for someone in there 20s?

This year my eyes started watering from wheat. It happens when I have cake/pasta/bread or walk into a bakery
