Them listening to them isn’t a bad thing but anyone who has used Reddit knows that once something becomes popular there the users support it to be cool or agree with the status quo or whatever but then later down the line everyone will admit that a wrong thing was wrong. It happens all the time on there and no one wants that to be the case with something that is happening to a RuneScape
Old School team KILLING IT!!! Keep up the good work boys. Also, add a new open sea "wilderness" area to pk in via sailing. Preferably on the water itself, naval combat style, but add some pk islands too and you're set for one of the best updates in OSRS history imo!

It was literally just having a conversation with somebody yesterday about how much I missed this quest line and how I wish they would bring it to Old School. I was even literally watching videos on the quest posted over 15 years ago just for that fragment of nostalgia. Words cannot describe how excited I am for this Quest and everything that comes with it. Farming tormented demons was my absolute favorite content back in the day.
Listening to a player suggestion has me so hype. I’ve seen so many S tier suggestions on the RS forums waaaay back in the day and on the subreddit as well. Glad to see Jagex bringing in some community sourced content!
So excited to see that the god alignment prayer idea is being seriously considered. I was excited for the ruinous powers and also disappointed that they were being scrapped, but after seeing the proposed god alignments, I’ve wanted them ever since. Can’t wait!
While I truly loved fist of guthix back in the day, I really don't think it would work in today's OSRS with entity hider and all that. I feel like 90% of that gamemode was trying to find someone's name stacked under other people lol
I can still picture those quests when I played them back in the day. One of my favorite moments was when Zemouregal's spell on Arrav was broken and he attacked his former master in rage. Truly epic.
Setting apart the Tormented Demons with new mechanics and drops are the way to go. Like you said, drops like Dragon Platebody and Claws are already in other content and the mechanics are already nearly 1:1 with Demonic Gorillas. I am curious however in 1 aspect; The music. Temple Desecrated is THE Runescape OST of days past. It's the first real track anyone thinks of when it comes to Grandmaster Quests and it's essentially the theme of Lucien and the Mahjarrat (It was even remixed for Ritual of the Mahjarrat for the Lucien battle).
I don't play OSRS anymore, but this sounds great. Good luck with release. Personally, I wouldn't mind the claw drop returning to the demons. That was also done for the harpoon.

Honestly? With claws already in game, and tormented gorillas already having their mechanics, it makes sense to me to make an entirely unique encounter. I would be pretty happy with TDs being entirely unique. I don't like the idea of putting dclaws on the table. Maybe TDs could be a boss instead of the "mini boss" status they had in the original iteration.
i've been talking about WGS for over 2 years on socials that its need a return, others agreed and saw the name WGS pop up way more. now it will return (sadly now how it was back then) but its an AWESOME feeling for now!
@@seriousspikesam7770 Doesn't have to necessarily be abyssal though. Level 70's have lots of names. Avernic defender, barrows armor, crystal shield ect. If they're coming from tormented demons, they could be called tormented claws.
The alignment idea is so much better. The Ruinous Prayers were just too similar to the normal prayers to be a new book, but having some of those prayers be addons to the existing book is fine. Save a brand new prayer book for when there is a very unique idea. (Werewolf and Vampire?)

I'm really excited about the future of this questline because I think with the world guardian aspect it fell off a cliff. We need a hero by chance rather than the chosen one overcoming a dark underworld. It would be really cool to see the rulers of Gielinor rise up against the impending doom of the dragonkin and majarat rather than god vs god. Fallador guards and legends guild members fighting tooth and nail against the metal dragons and shadow priests. Having people we all know and interact with daily fighting is much more impactful than a turtle we just met.
Would be amazing to redo d claws and have them drop from their original monster, cox is not relevant for d claws… can’t wait for the voting, ours just keeps getting better and better!
I voted yes, however I want to give my feedback. -Make the new added weapons look proportional (New weapons such as the fang for example look way to big and disproportional to the "user/in-game character") (if you look only at the handle in game, it looks 4 times wider/bigger than the character hand) -Make the design propositions actually different. Usually you give 3 designs to chose from and they are basically identical with a few changes. Finally unrelated to this quest, but has overall importance for the game.: Fix the design problems with a lot of gear such as head gear for example. The problem being it looks disproportional to the body. It looks weird and as if the character has a huge head. A few examples of helmets designed like that are Masori helm, Slayer helm, Neitznot faceguard.
Maybe try an upgrade to zenytes? Considering theyre beefed up toremented gorrilas, it might be nice to see specified buffs for certain attack types, like stab, slash, crush.

I'm just hoping the direction of the Mahjarrat storyline in OSRS does not involve a dead Guthix as it has in RS3. I like Guthix. He's the best damn god in Runescape.
The OSRS playerbase doesn't realize how good they have it with this dev team, they are the gold standard for MMOs and if you've played anything outside of oldschool you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
I hope the player isn't turned into such a "Chosen One" this time around. I enjoy being a nobody and it fits in an MMO especially when you see other adventurers around all the time (admittedly RS3 also rectified this by destroying its playerbase)
Pre necromancy, RS3 version of the quest was quite tough and the enemies too Post necromancy release, it's now p00p and the monsters not even worth the time.... Hope OSRS made this absolutely godlike

What about an attachment for the claws that provides a demon-bane boost when used on NPCs and a torment effect when used in pking (continued small amounts of damage, something like 3-5 every 8 ticks for 40 ticks after the spec is used, but doesnt stack if you dump both specs)
Speaking of prayers... Would be a massive QOL change to make prayers switchable via keyboard.. The old UI is.. Well.. It could be made better to fit with the increasing challenge level of endgame PVM content.. Its kinda tedious as it is.. I undestand the old UI with original content from the 2007 era, JAD being the most challenging encounter.. But now with raids, inferno etc.. Changes would be welcome.

Song of the Elves for Seren prayers, if they backport Chosen Commander that's how we could get Bandos Prayers, not sure about the other Gods
Continue the Sea Slug/Temple Knight series for Saradomin. And perhaps the Myreque series for Zamorak.

The dev team already said the gods themselves are not likely to appear in Osrs, so the story will be different from RS3.
