- Hi there -- This video ranks the most to least expensive places to live in the Eastern Panhandle. Even though prices have gone up everywhere, it's still cheaper to buy a home in this area than surrounding states especially as you get closer to the DC area.

Glad I stumbled upon your channel! I am potentially getting a job at the National Conservation Training Center near Shepherdstown and would be required to move to the area. My fiance and I love hiking and mountain biking and would honestly prefer a more rural, affordable area, but still within a reasonable commute of the training center. It seems like going toward Berkeley Springs may be the better option.
Any sense of what the renters market looks like? Not sure if we'd able to buy a house in this market...
