Hoody there is a really solution now. There are places that cut he top hair off and glue a “wig piece” with real hair and it stays on no matter what. You can shower pull it and it wont come off. They also cut the hair to your liking . Nice solution to balding. If i ever go bald im definitely doing that
I started at 14. Best thing you should do is shave it all. Hair doesn't even matter that much tbh. If some girls don't even give you a chance for being bald, then you don't want those girls anyways. Be yourself and grow some confidence. Happiness is all that matters and never let such a small thing as hair take it out of yourself.

@@joys8634 I wouldnt classify that as a solution or a cure, i doubt men trying to work around their hair lose would consider fucking up their hormones and becoming demasculinized as a solution. So my statement holds theirs no such thing as a "cure" for baldness
u've never thought about going for a better diet? or maybe try out rogaine or something. balding at young age definitely has something to do with your lifestyle.
sal I've tried Rogaine for about a year but as soon as you stop using it, all the hair you got back just falls out. Besides, its too late now because I literally don't have any hair left on top
I'm in the exact same situation, i'm 17 and i always had long curly hair, but now i'm losing it at the front as you, i'm taking some ointments for my hair skin, but i'm quite desperate, so i took the decision to shave my head in 2021... This sucks but it can't ruin my life, stay strong

Bro I understand your pain I too had the same problem. I just decided to cut it short (almost bald) and learned to be comfortable with that until the day comes when I’ll need to cut it completely bald. Don’t get into the hair transplants and medications route, just learn to accept yourself for who you are trust me you’ll be much happier that way. God bless.
I'm gonna be 17 in a couple months, and I'm already going bald too. It can really ruin your life, and I'm here for you, and I'm sure there are many others like us out there that are also dealing with the same issue, and are all here for each other Edit: My mom gave me a haircut a couple weeks ago and noticed I had dry skin on my scalp, so if we find the right scalp moisturizer I'm confident my hair will grow back. I also found out if you're going bald, you will have a receding hairline, and your hair will fall out in clumps, which I am experiencing neither of those.
I had something similar. Dandruff and slight hair loss after a vitamin d deficiency. Hair line was fine and I wasn’t losing hair in clumps, my hair is great now.
go see a doctor. maybe 1-3 years later you can start finasteride, but do as your doctor suggests ofc. right now you can try to stall the miniaturization process with topical minoxidil, and then you can gain most of your hair back with finasteride.
Same man I'm 16 and I have similar hair loss to yours, in a year mine will look like yours. I used to have the thickest hair and I used to have lots of it, but I've come to accept it as reality and I don't feel as bad anymore.

I would die anyways because I told myself that constantly that I'm going to die soon. hair is made up of cells just like your skin, if you lose skin it automatically grows back, so should your hair! if you have told your mind already that it won't grow back then tell your mind 10 times each day that it will then it will definitely grow back
Wow youre so well spoken and presented for 17!! I lost mine at 19 and couldnt imagine being so mature and objective about it in a video.. I hope you overcome it - or if not hold on until mid-20s when it won't be such an issue.. Only advice I have is train your neck if its thin- bald head on thin neck looks terrible
I’m a black 23 old, started thinning around 17 when I moved to Phoenix, I didn’t start noticing the change in my hair my hair till one day when my pop was cutting my hair and made a comment saying I had a small little dent, barely noticeable in the front, he was just as confused as I was and said that maybe It’s a sign of early hair loss, and since that thought never crossed my mind because I have hair everywhere on my body, it scared the hell out of me, and I didn’t really consider the environment of my life and where I was living at the time, but from 17 all the way up till now have been some of the most stressful years of my life, like I recall that when we moved to Phoenix, there was a big change in my diet, like before I moved , I got enough appropriate food to eat at school and also I exercised more, within the past couple years I worked at Walmart, and that’s when I really started noticing my hair going, like barbers and other people would make comments about my hair loss saying I have bad genetics like it’s my fault, started cutting myself bad in Phoenix, stopped for a while, took it back up when working at Walmart, even started drinking heavily, and I know most people will say that it’s my lifestyle and believe me I’ve made all those changes, diets, quitting stressful jobs, dropping toxic people, I’ve even shaved my head so that it wouldn’t be that noticeable, and I hate being bald, even if people say it looks good, it doesn’t go with my style or identity, sometimes I have dreams that I have hair as full and healthy as it once was when I was young, and then I wake up super discouraged, I look in the mirror and there’s no change and I notice the most...it’s like your stuck with a body you don’t want, there are certain physical features in a man or a woman that makes them feel confident and beautiful, hair is one of the major defining factors, the vast majority of people don’t understand how ugly it feels until they themselves start losing it... I believe in God and pray every day that he lend me the strength to get through these trials like this, but it is NOT easy, but if you believe in his ways, it ain’t meant to be!!!!!!

That's effed up to say that about a human. Karma is a legit thing you know. I'm serious. When I was younger, I was a troll and said things like you said. Now that i'm older, it still hurts me thinking about stupid shit I've said. Karma got me. I made fun of bald and fat people. I was skinny with a full set of hair. A few years later, I gained weight and loss all my hair. Karma is legit so don't mess with it.

I'm 16 and I have the exact same problem! I have found a few things that work: 1. Minoxidil 2. Finasteride 3. Multivitamins that include: Biotin, Iron, C, E, Saw Pametto, Omega 3 Fish Oil, and Zinc. 4. Wash your Hair with icy cold water (healthier skin and blood flow) 5. Frequent scalp massages. 6. (A little dicey) quit masturbating. The most important thing though is to never lose confidence. There are a lot of us out there :) I'm not even 17 yet!
man u do the same as me! brush it over, and get it cut as short as u possible on the back and sides...works wonders, and helps u ease into the point of losing the hair and transitioning to a full Jason Statham. Try it out man.
Hey Edwin, I've had 3 hair transplants and I know a lot about the stress of balding. Firstly, YES take the propecia. I've been on it for a long time with ZERO side effects. I started balding at 16 years old, as of 25 years old my whole upper scalp is pretty damn thin. I am close to just shaving myself and going with the whole Bruce Willis appearance. 17 wow, started for me around the same time, my hair was so thick until around 17, I remember sitting in class in high school and noticing the hairs falling out at the slighest touch of my scalp, watching them collect on the white paper on my desk. it was so thick infact i hated my hair, it took till about 24 to have lost enough that it was noticable. however i thankfully was able to finish out my twenties by hiding it with products and voumizing techniques, blow drying and combing foward. unfortunatley going bald for some can be traumatic, you feel damaged compared to other men, worse you feel no longer a part of any competition for the attention of women, even worse i began to feel guity about hiding it, what did i hope foR? to meet a nice girl, have her become interested in me and then put her in the position of realizing she was tricked into caring for a bald man? and for a young man, when nearly 100 percent of his peers are rocking thick full heads of hair, and worse the few i knew that did shave thier heads still looked good, it was clear to me with my features and shape this would be a less becoming look on me.

This year i too made the toughest decision in my life, i shaved completely and because i have a really thick beard, it looks amazing with my clean head, everyone says that so i hope my confidence will come back. I started balding at 17 after going on a vegetarian diet. I wasn't fat or one of those health nuts, I just didn't want to meat because I didn't have much of a craving for it at the time. After about 2 months of eating like a bird, I noticed my hair started thinning, which was odd because my hair was really thick before. After switching back to eating a more balanced diet, I noticed my hair was growing back. I haven't had a problem with balding since. So EAT YOUR MEAT
@@malharjajoo7393 This is actually true. I moved to uni, started eating less (obviously, because students are broke) and I lost around 15 kilos in 6 months. My hair got THIN to a point where you could see right thru my scalp and I'd shed lots and lots of hair. I started eating good, it stopped my hair shedding and my hair's gotten a bit thicker, although not like before. I've also got some diffuse thinning spots as well

Dude the propecia will absolutely work. Don’t listen to people telling you not to take it if you had to side effects after about a month. It has the potential to completely stop hairloss. And minoxidil can return your density to normal so you won’t ever have to worry about this again. Balding is fucking brutal I wish I could have been there for you when you made this video to help you out both mentally and reassure you it’s going to be alright. Fuck man I feel so bad.
I think that a lot of the people commenting rude things on here are seriously lacking in empathy. I wish Edwin all the best and hope that he recognises that (1) there is more to life than how you look and (2) balding doesn't necessarily mean you'll look bad. I'm a girl and I think Edwin is very handsome. I first came across your video when I first started balding. In retrospect I can now say I had hair back then. Now my hair is gone and has through the same course as yours. It’s a long battle but I realized that balding is just another problem in my life. One out of many. Am I going to let one problem bring me down when I need to stand up to so many more? My hairs been thinning since I was 14, its really just the crown. But if I cut it short you can see my scalp and it looks pretty bad but if my hair is like a half an inch it covers thickens up everything but the crown! austin woodruff your hair will grow back completely, it may have started because you have started to live a more intelligent life or stressful life, instead focus on living a foolish life or care free life then it should go back grow back definitely. your 18 so it should grow back in a few months. stay positive and if u can't then force yourself to say positive things to your hair and it will happen.
Sheer Cyber its best to avoid doctors and dermatologists at your young age, they would hook you up with some chemicals to use and that might seem to work for a while but sooner or later the after effects are going to show. its because the doctors don't tell you why it started in the first place, they only tell you how to control it or forcefully grow it back. ask them why your hair started to fall in the first place, and if they give you the shit about hereditary then thats what they have been taught in their schools and its full of shit. Hereditary only becomes true because the person keeps believing that its going to happen to themselves as well because it happened to their parents. hence the child ends up bald as well because he truly believed that he is going to get hair fall as well.

After I went to a high school I started to lose my hair. It ruined my school career, I was depressed pretty much 90% of the time, I thought about killing myself because the pain I felt was a way worse than any other I had ever felt. Reasons: I always had good bonds with everybody. I come along with people and like to talk to them. But when I started losing my hair, my friends immeaditely started noticing it like "hey, are you balding?" and things like that. When I heard those comments 2 years, my mentality was only a tiny piece of what it once was. I couldn't approach people with the same smile I earlier could, I couldn't support them as good as before. All that because I would always feel the pain in my whole body when somebody mentioned my hair loss. They also said "Why you don't just go bald?", like yea it is a solution but man, I was like 16-17, and going bald at that age was a really hard decision for me. I needed a shit ton of courage for that. The worst thing of all was that my friends didn't support me at all. Nobody really did. I was so ashamed to talk about it so maybe I was also the problem. About 8 months after I turned 18 I decided to go bald. That was one of my biggest decisions I have ever made. But I also felt kind of... relaxed. Now I could go to places without wearing a cap or hoodie because I was bald and they couldn't really say anything to it. People sometimes mentioned it in the beginning and yea, it was rough, and it still is. I'm slowly beginning to accept it. I'm still hearing comments about my hair but this whole has also taught me a lot. It has changed me to a better person and the way I see people has also been changed. I'm still trying to heal from the wounds I got, nowadays I have a loving girlfriend and it seems like my friends also support me more. I still can't speak about my hair that much because for me, it is still embarrasing. So yea, we just have to survive in this world with what we get and try to move on! It's reality. It's shit and I know balding hurts like a hell. I feel your pain bro, but remember: you are not alone. There are always someone who is going through the same shit and even if it is hard to talk about... I suggest you try it. Probably my biggest mistake that I didn't speak about it and go bald sooner. Hi! I feel bad for you, because rn im balding too. Rn im 17, its totally depressing. 1 year ago, my hair still grow normally without hairfall. Untill 8 months ago, there's a lot of hair falling from my head, its been 3 months pass after i decide to treat my hair with nature herbs, and still fall like 15 hair/ hour:) It's been years pass, i hope you good. I just decided to cut it short (almost bald) and learned to be comfortable with that until the day comes when I’ll need to cut it completely bald. Don’t get into the hair transplants and medications route, just learn to accept yourself for who you are trust me you’ll be much happier that way. God bless.

Edit: My mom gave me a haircut a couple weeks ago and noticed I had dry skin on my scalp, so if we find the right scalp moisturizer I'm confident my hair will grow back. I also found out if you're going bald, you will have a receding hairline, and your hair will fall out in clumps, which I am experiencing neither of those.
I had something similar. Dandruff and slight hair loss after a vitamin d deficiency. Hair line was fine and I wasn’t losing hair in clumps, my hair is great now.

I’m a black 23 old, started thinning around 17 when I moved to Phoenix, I didn’t start noticing the change in my hair my hair till one day when my pop was cutting my hair and made a comment saying I had a small little dent, barely noticeable in the front, he was just as confused as I was and said that maybe It’s a sign of early hair loss, and since that thought never crossed my mind because I have hair everywhere on my body, it scared the hell out of me, and I didn’t really consider the environment of my life and where I was living at the time, but from 17 all the way up till now have been some of the most stressful years of my life, like I recall that when we moved to Phoenix, there was a big change in my diet, like before I moved , I got enough appropriate food to eat at school and also I exercised more, within the past couple years I worked at Walmart, and that’s when I really started noticing my hair going, like barbers and other people would make comments about my hair loss saying I have bad genetics like it’s my fault, started cutting myself bad in Phoenix, stopped for a while, took it back up when working at Walmart, even started drinking heavily, and I know most people will say that it’s my lifestyle and believe me I’ve made all those changes, diets, quitting stressful jobs, dropping toxic people, I’ve even shaved my head so that it wouldn’t be that noticeable, and I hate being bald, even if people say it looks good, it doesn’t go with my style or identity, sometimes I have dreams that I have hair as full and healthy as it once was when I was young, and then I wake up super discouraged, I look in the mirror and there’s no change and I notice the most...it’s like your stuck with a body you don’t want, there are certain physical features in a man or a woman that makes them feel confident and beautiful, hair is one of the major defining factors, the vast majority of people don’t understand how ugly it feels until they themselves start losing it... I believe in God and pray every day that he lend me the strength to get through these trials like this, but it is NOT easy, but if you believe in his ways, it ain’t meant to be!!!!!!

Multivitamins that include: Biotin, Iron, C, E, Saw Pametto, Omega 3 Fish Oil, and Zinc. 4. Wash your Hair with icy cold water (healthier skin and blood flow) 5. Frequent scalp massages. 6. (A little dicey) quit masturbating. The most important thing though is to never lose confidence. There are a lot of us out there :) I'm not even 17 yet!

17 wow, started for me around the same time, my hair was so thick until around 17, I remember sitting in class in high school and noticing the hairs falling out at the slighest touch of my scalp, watching them collect on the white paper on my desk. it was so thick infact i hated my hair, it took till about 24 to have lost enough that it was noticable. however i thankfully was able to finish out my twenties by hiding it with products and voumizing techniques, blow drying and combing foward. unfortunatley going bald for some can be traumatic, you feel damaged compared to other men, worse you feel no longer a part of any competition for the attention of women, even worse i began to feel guity about hiding it, what did i hope foR? to meet a nice girl, have her become interested in me and then put her in the position of realizing she was tricked into caring for a bald man? and for a young man, when nearly 100 percent of his peers are rocking thick full heads of hair, and worse the few i knew that did shave thier heads still looked good, it was clear to me with my features and shape this would be a less becoming look on me.

I started balding at 17 after going on a vegetarian diet. I wasn't fat or one of those health nuts, I just didn't want to meat because I didn't have much of a craving for it at the time. After about 2 months of eating like a bird, I noticed my hair started thinning, which was odd because my hair was really thick before. After switching back to eating a more balanced diet, I noticed my hair was growing back. I haven't had a problem with balding since.

This is actually true. I moved to uni, started eating less (obviously, because students are broke) and I lost around 15 kilos in 6 months. My hair got THIN to a point where you could see right thru my scalp and I'd shed lots and lots of hair. I started eating good, it stopped my hair shedding and my hair's gotten a bit thicker, although not like before. I've also got some diffuse thinning spots as well

I first came across your video when I first started balding. In retrospect I can now say I had hair back then. Now my hair is gone and has through the same course as yours. It’s a long battle but I realized that balding is just another problem in my life. One out of many. Am I going to let one problem bring me down when I need to stand up to so many more? Dude I feel you! I'm 18 and have been losing my hair for two years. It's so embarrassing I can't even leave my house without putting a hat on. Being this young you don't deserve that shit you have your whole life left and I'm losing my hair already! It's definitely noticeable on me and I can't stand it. I'm a wreck because of it because I've always been one to have nice and long flowy hair and now I can't do shit. So I feel you and you should do an update because mine now is wayyyy worse than this video
My hairs been thinning since I was 14, its really just the crown. But if I cut it short you can see my scalp and it looks pretty bad but if my hair is like a half an inch it covers thickens up everything but the crown! Im going to a dermatologist next month im 17 now so hopefully they'll give me some answers lol it hasnt really gotten worse imo

austin woodruff your hair will grow back completely, it may have started because you have started to live a more intelligent life or stressful life, instead focus on living a foolish life or care free life then it should go back grow back definitely. your 18 so it should grow back in a few months. stay positive and if u can't then force yourself to say positive things to your hair and it will happen.
Sheer Cyber its best to avoid doctors and dermatologists at your young age, they would hook you up with some chemicals to use and that might seem to work for a while but sooner or later the after effects are going to show. its because the doctors don't tell you why it started in the first place, they only tell you how to control it or forcefully grow it back. ask them why your hair started to fall in the first place, and if they give you the shit about hereditary then thats what they have been taught in their schools and its full of shit. Hereditary only becomes true because the person keeps believing that its going to happen to themselves as well because it happened to their parents. hence the child ends up bald as well because he truly believed that he is going to get hair fall as well.

austin woodruff i truly believe that living a care free life and saying nice things about your hair to yourself could bring back lost hair i wouldn't say everyone has to say nice things about their hair part but i recommend it to those who currently feel that their hair is not growing.
p.s i know i do not have a medical degree from famous medical schools however if science had the answer to curing baldness then there wouldn't be millionaires and actors who are bald.

After I went to a high school I started to lose my hair. It ruined my school career, I was depressed pretty much 90% of the time, I thought about killing myself because the pain I felt was a way worse than any other I had ever felt. Reasons: I always had good bonds with everybody. I come along with people and like to talk to them. But when I started losing my hair, my friends immeaditely started noticing it like "hey, are you balding?" and things like that. When I heard those comments 2 years, my mentality was only a tiny piece of what it once was. I couldn't approach people with the same smile I earlier could, I couldn't support them as good as before. All that because I would always feel the pain in my whole body when somebody mentioned my hair loss. They also said "Why you don't just go bald?", like yea it is a solution but man, I was like 16-17, and going bald at that age was a really hard decision for me. I needed a shit ton of courage for that. The worst thing of all was that my friends didn't support me at all. Nobody really did. I was so ashamed to talk about it so maybe I was also the problem. About 8 months after I turned 18 I decided to go bald. That was one of my biggest decisions I have ever made. But I also felt kind of... relaxed. Now I could go to places without wearing a cap or hoodie because I was bald and they couldn't really say anything to it. People sometimes mentioned it in the beginning and yea, it was rough, and it still is. I'm slowly beginning to accept it. I'm still hearing comments about my hair but this whole has also taught me a lot. It has changed me to a better person and the way I see people has also been changed. I'm still trying to heal from the wounds I got, nowadays I have a loving girlfriend and it seems like my friends also support me more. I still can't speak about my hair that much because for me, it is still embarrasing. So yea, we just have to survive in this world with what we get and try to move on! It's reality. It's shit and I know balding hurts like a hell. I feel your pain bro, but remember: you are not alone. There are always someone who is going through the same shit and even if it is hard to talk about... I suggest you try it. Probably my biggest mistake that I didn't speak about it and go bald sooner. Hi! I feel bad for you, because rn im balding too. Rn im 17, its totally depressing. 1 year ago, my hair still grow normally without hairfall. Untill 8 months ago, there's a lot of hair falling from my head, its been 3 months pass after i decide to treat my hair with nature herbs, and still fall like 15 hair/ hour:)
