My friend and I used to extend the front end of our slot cars and modify them into funny cars. We ran the straight track down the hallway, and because they ran so damn fast that we had to run the track up the wall to let them slow down. Then his younger brother would jump in and catch them in his shirt as they fell. It was insane. I miss doing stuff like that. We get older and move on to bigger machines, or detailed Diecast, or things unrelated altogether. A couple of years ago I bought a stupid amount of hotwheels track and did various things with it. No loops, just straight speed. Down the hallway to the stairs, big curve to downstairs. I have a long sloping yard so I started one at the gate and ran out the length of the yard to a big curve around the house onto the back patio. I literally ended up depressed by doing it. It felt lonely 🙁 I ended up bundling up the track and left it on the deck for a year and then put it in the garbage. 😑
Great detail mentioning the front wheels being staggered. A lot of folks wouldn't of knew that. That is still done today on bracket dragsters, I see it a lot at the drag strips.
I loved the photos you shared with us. Awesome work. You talk about some of the past jobs you've had from time to time and those pics really help us visualize the kind of work you did. You have some amazing talent my friend. Both on the model bench and in 1 to 1 scale. God bless you buddy.
Thank you buddy I appreciate the comment I really do and thank you so much for watching and appreciate you buddy later oh and sorry I took so long to get back to you
Nice kit review, Eddie's coach is very creative, I like the lanterns you made for it. You have the best background for doing those kit bashing builds, like a continuation of your old job.
