Iv been feeling like this for the past few weeks and was a little confused as to why Iv seemed to just loose interest in most of the spiritual topics or videos that previously had me so enthralled. I use to feel this deep hunger for more knowledge, but now it’s seem to have dissipated. It’s comforting to know that others are feeling this too! ❤

I'm so happy that this came across my recommended. I was ready to give up because everything was just becoming noise to me.
I think external uses are just a part of being human. Like tarot for me is art, storytelling for empowerment. Connection to others when my path of using nothing was getting a bit lonely. Astrology for me is again, about the stories and the myths. Which are now being retold in inclusive ways. I don’t think these and other things take away from a sense of self, I think they are merely man made (quite literally) tools which are very fallible, like anything else. They among the numerous things that we have choice over, and if they’re not empowering then I don’t use them. If I lose interest, I don’t use them. They represent to me a reflection for thought and one (of many) form of connection. Horizontal (to other people) connection and not necessarily vertical (Holy) connection.
Anyways that’s where I’m at now. And it could change.
That being said, my connection with mys(S)elf is always using nothing. Nothing will ever replace that. So these other things for me are tools of interest and connection in other ways.

New to the channel, this is such a relevant video for me, I found my self so heavily absorbed in the external world, not even necessarily the concrete one but the world of ideas, concepts, theories, from esoteric to mystical, phenomena to the scientific, plus I was very much experiencing these things too on the daily to very profound levels.
Over the last many years I've been practicing complete abstinence, but it was only the last months that I really took this seriously and did three months of total celibacy with myself, during this time I notice that i simply started to become less and less drawn to things around me, prior interests started to dwindle, I was becoming less concerned and dragged into the external world because my own power and core was raising, when this happens as you know we turn from seekers of information to simply existing within our center, and from this things flow to us and the need to search and seek is lesser. we become more content and less giving of our precious conscious power away. Even to things we think we love.
Though this was quite difficult too, because it started to feel like depersonalization and I got a little panicked at times, when really is was a metamorphosis.
