Idk what’s up with this video. Boomslangs are incredibly decile and rarely bite humans. Also they’re rear fanged so they have to really bite the venom in, so you need to get bitten real good to actually get a dose of venom
I mean gaboon vipers may casually move around slowly but their strike is so fast you can’t see it with the human eye. One second it’s coiled up in a strike position, the next you’ve got 2 separate 2 inch holes & an emergency room trip.

After seeing your other video yesterday. Looking closely at the Gaboon I just noticed how amazing it’s patterns and shapes are on its body. I didn’t realize it was so intricate and good looking. Very cool natural outfit it’s got there.
Boomslangs are chilled, really. We had a few that lived in the creepers and flower beds around the verandah. Hardly ever saw them and they never bothered us.

ive seen dozens of videos of the Gabon and I still cannot get over how it looks when it moves. Most snakes just seem to effortlessly glide across surfaces but the Gaboon looks like it has several dozen little legs and "walks" instead of slithers lol
