    Hi Guys, or Grils. I did not see what state of the USA you are in. Is it Georgia, or No. Carolina?

      Neither. Virginia.

      And Virginia had a law once a person was freed the person must leave the state and if they did not the person was again considered a slave. The law ran around the early to mid 1800s. Ended around the time of the emancipation proclamation was ratified.
