What gets me the most is how the slightly melancholy, mildly pleasant but admittedly somewhat monotonous repeated stanzas & refrain seem to solely serve to add impact to the one slightly more emphatic part. Rationally it should not work at all - but for me personally it does to such a staggering extent that I am still having to fight tears every time they launch into "of course the're million things that I'm afraid of".
