Snow's not from D12 but he's choosen to mentor Lucy Gray who's from D12
President Snow's full name is Coriolanus Snow. Suzanne Collins named him after a real Roman General, who was a good-natured man that eventually turned evil from greed and narcissism. Almost all of the characters in the book/movie are named after some kind of Roman politician or General. Suzanne Collins got the inspiration for the actual games from a mix of Greek mythology (the story of Theseus and the Minotaur) and of course, the infamous Gladiatorial Games (hence the arena) Suzanne is pure genius when it comes to storytelling. Catching Fire was my favorite of the Trilogy, but once I read this gem of a book, Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes has replaced that title. The book is phenomenal and I HIGHLY recommend reading it. it's President Snow's "origin story" to put it simply. A good portion of the book is internal dialogue, which may be hard to comprehend in the movie. Other than that, I am super stoked for this film to come out!
President Snow is from the Capital but he's assigned to mentor a District 12 Tribute - in this case Lucy. There is a reason why but I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't read the book! I love that membership in USA Archery went up after the books came out and the films!
Snow isnt from district 12, hes a capitol kid hes just chosen to mentor the District 12 girl and this was the first time they had mentor.
I highly recommend that you read the book because this book is my favourite book of the trilogy, some people say its a little slow but the typenof writing is something i enjoy. Its very epic
I'm excited! Just added Rachel Zegler, Viola Davis and Peter Dinklage to my list of favorite actors and actresses. Can't wait to see Fionnula Flanagan from A Christmas Carol as President Snow's Grandma, and I knew they'd put in the swimming at the lake part. I hear the film’s runtime is gonna beat out Catching Fire's with 2 hours and 45 minutes
