The real question is whether the prosecution was able to prove that his actions constitute campaign finance violations which could turn those into felonies. Falsifying business records is a crime. In New York, it’s covered under the penal code. Specifically, falsifying business records in the first degree is a class E felony. There are 34 felony counts in the case. The Prosecution would not have brought the case unless they had hard evidence. This is not Political Prosecution it's a crime. Tax evasion is a crime. It involves deliberately avoiding payment of true tax liabilities. Whether or not tax forms were filed, the IRS can determine if taxes were owed based on information from third parties (like W-2s or 1099s). The Trump Organization was found guilty of tax evasion, the failure to pay was intentional. Donald Trump and the other defendants are ordered to pay more than $450 million in total, which represents $363.8 million in disgorgement and pre-judgment interest. New York residents are fed up with paying taxes for Tax dodging corporations. Both these cases involve falsification of records. Clearly there is a history of Fraudulent practices on the part of Trump and his organization. He will be convicted and likely not have to spend any prison time. He is member of the elite class in America yet acts like he's not. He is also an honorable member of the swamp and also claims he's not. He has effectively fooled his minions by feeding them what they want to hear. His followers now have the same mindset as Trump himself. To them nothing is a crime when it comes to DJT. Let's see if that applies when they commit the same crimes.
