  • In December 2020, West Virginia's New River Gorge National Park and Preserve became the 63rd National Park in the United States. Learn about this new park and the two other National Park Service sites overseen by park staff; Gauley River National Recreation Area and Bluestone National Scenic River.
(I know my pronunciation of "Appalachian" isn't accurate to the region, but I'm from Pennsylvania and that's how we pronounce it up here.)

I love how you mix history/educational info in with the park guide - great stuff! Where do you find your historical park footage? I'd love to incorporate some of that into my own videos.

Thanks! I like your videos as well. I kind of want to convince you to dd your content to my channel, haha. But, the historical videos come from public domain sources like the Library of Congress of the National Park websites. It's amazing what you can find out there. Where do you get yours?

@@megatheriumclub Ha! I'm open to a collaboration for sure! A lot of my footage comes from Storyblocks or free stock footage places. Sometimes I can find some from various historical societies as well, depending on the subject. I also found this website (openparksnetwork.org/) which has an insane amount of historical park photos.

One of the things I love about the east side of the country: natural areas and history go hand in hand.
