CROCHET DAISY GRANNY SQUARE TUTORIAL // Easy Flower Pattern How-To Tutorial for Beginners US Terms

In today’s tutorial, I’ll show you how to crochet this super cute daisy granny square that can be used to make blankets, bags, cardigans, clothing and more! This tutorial is probably too advanced for brand-new crochet beginners, but it is pretty easy as far as granny squares go. There are 3 rows/sections and they are mostly made up of double crochet stitches.

Written crochet pattern:
I used #4 medium worsted acrylic yarn and a 5mm crochet hook.
Abbreviations (US terms):
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
st = stitch
sl st = slip stitch
Tr = treble/triple crochet
pc = popcorn stitch (3 double crochet into same stitch, remove hook from stitch, insert in top of first of the three dc from front to back, insert into last dc and pull the loop through)
Row 1 (yellow yarn): ch 3 (acts as fist double crochet), 11dc into first ch, sl st into top of first ch 3, fasten off & weave in ends (12dc in round ring)
Row 2 (white yarn): sl st into the top of any of the 12dc from previous row, ch3 (acts as first dc in popcorn stitch), complete pc stitch with 2 more dc in same st, ch2, continue pc & ch 2 in remaining 11 st, join with sl st in top of first ch 3, fasten off & weave in ends
Row 3 (any colour yarn): join with sl st in any sp between pc stitches and ch3 (acts as first dc), 2dc in same sp, 3dc in next sp, 3tr, ch2, 3tr in next sp (to form corner of square) - continue 3 dc in next two spaces and 3tr ch2 3tr in third space 3 more times to create all 4 sides of the square. Join with sl st in top of ch3. Fasten off & weave in ends.
