  • For those who are buying, building or restoring a home in Portugal this village is the ultimate example of how you can do it. Cerdeira is a 300-year old Schist/Xisto Village located in de Serra de Lousã. The owners bought 10 houses and transformed the old ruins back to life, which you can now enjoy for yourself.

    The worst thing about the rain is needing glasses; although I'll admit the slipping around, mud, cold and time needed to dry out are up there too.
    You come across some great, very different places. These valley houses could be great for getting kids to bed, as judging by the shadows sunset would come early. That's a plan!

    • @tworiversprojects
      @tworiversprojects  Před rokem +2

      I can also imagine some nice stargazing on the front deck after putting kids to bed would be nice 😁 and yes, glasses are always interesting in this kind of weather. Also camera equipment 😉

    @Xando372 Před 7 měsíci +1

    É com profunda consternação que, à distância, assisto a este atentado ambiental na serra da lousã. Pelo menos desde o grande incêndio de 1997 que as madeireiras - com a criminosa cumplicidade das autoridades “competentes” - por lá têm perpetrado as maiores agressões (tornando as encostas escalvadas e, inevitavelmente, sáfaras, deixadas assim demasiado vulneráveis à erosão) com total impunidade.
    Por outro lado, é muita ingenuidade destes porta-vozes (influencers digitais) e cronistas da desgraça acharem que os seus interlocutores-internautas, no conforto dos seus distantes lares, irão fazer algo de relevante para deter os motosserras.
    No caso específico da Cerdeira, hoje em dia parece um parque temático. Aldeia de casa de bonecas sem vida, sem "alma". Nessa vitrine de arquitetos e artesãos elitistas, a artificialidade comercial é constrangedora. Tornou-se apenas um projeto empresarial orientado para o turismo. Um par destas aldeias até adotaram um slogan (em inglês, pois claro) que as define como centros turísticos desligados da verdadeira sustentabilidade. Praticamente ninguém cultiva os campos em redor; muito menos cuidam da floresta. Bem, a boa notícia é que algumas espécies da fauna silvestre estão a recuperar e expandir os seus efetivos populacionais - o que aconteceria na mesma, caso os neo "rurais"-empresários-influencers lá estivessem ou não.
    Claro que sou a favor da inovação e, de alguma forma , temos que tentar nos adaptar ao melhor do zeitgeist, mas sem a sustentabilidade sócio-ambiental, essas “melhorias” nas aldeias pouco mais são do que decorações natalícias para endinheirados urbanos, sob a gestão de meia dúzia de empreendedores filhinh@s de papai, hippies de butique, bem como uns quantos oportunistas. Não vejo que cultivem valores comunitários, mantendo apenas uma forte ligação entre o ego e a conta bancária.
    Se fossem aldeias realmente vivas e funcionais, ao invés de poses e apelos na Internet, poderíamos emular o que aconteceu em no Vale do Lila, em Valpaços... Os melhores aliados não são os que estão sentados à secretária, curtindo o ar condicionado e compactuando com distopias ambientais pelo temor serem prejudicados nas suas carreiras, caso façam a coisa certa e impeçam os crimes das madeireiras. Os melhores aliados são os que vivem diretamente da terra, tendo as mãos calejadas pela enxada, sem dependerem inteiramente dos supermercados, dos subsídios, das doações do estrangeiro, de engabelarem turistas,... Na ausência de práticas agroflorestais sustentáveis geridas pelos campesinos (de múltiplas origens e não necessariamente rústicos), como podemos ter a valorização das terras comunitárias?!
    Pouco ralada certamente estará a família que detém o feudo empresarial da Cerdeira, pois a sua ligação com a natureza silvestre que a rodeia é bem fraca. Eu morei nessa aldeia e nunca sequer os vi passear por aquelas matas declivosas; muito menos plantar carvalhos, castanheiros e outras importantíssimas espécies da floresta autóctone. Só cortavam o mato à volta da casa que habitavam. (Apesar de já terem carro há vários anos, numa casa em ruínas na entrada da aldeia, bem na frente da sua oficina, acumulavam uma quantidade impressionante de lixo, destacando-se centenas de fraldas descartáveis de dois filhos! Que javardice!! Eu e um ex colega é que tivemos que limpar essa porcaria dos alemães... E ainda atiravam junto de uma linha d´água os dejetos misturados com químicos agressivos de um WC portátil ao serviço dos turistas...)
    Para enfatizar como estão desligados da natureza silvestre envolvente, são incapazes de identificar sequer uma dezena de espécies da avifauna (ou de qualquer outro grupo faunístico) que facilmente podem avistar ao seu redor... Mas é provável que, por uma módica quantia, consigam que os seus clientes incorporem a alma de Auguste Rodin e ainda tenham os seus “chakras alinhados”; talvez até “curem cancros” enfiando cristais em cavidades corporais... Pagando um pouco mais, até terão direito a um transcendente workshop destinado a estrangular no berço quaisquer resquícios de consciência pesada pelos privilégios de casta (& etnia), confirmando como o universo @ considera “especial”... A velha alemã até vos asseverará que todos os que discordam dela não passam de “canibais”( wetikos)! É, não faz por menos...
    Em princípio, o desmatamento em causa não prejudicará os seus rendimentos económicos, até porque já estão a investir (nas redes sociais-digitais) em vídeos promocionais, assegurando potenciais clientes que o seu “paraíso continua aprazível e imaculado” ...
    O que eles chamam de “sustentabilidade” pouco mais são do que ações pontuais, desenraizadas de promoção de eventos capitalizados. A hospitalidade rural que deu fama mundial aos portugueses, ali foi substituída pela “simpatia” interesseira reservada apenas aos potenciais clientes. Visitantes que não lhes entreguem dinheiro (e os seus preços são exorbitantes!) não são bem-vindos. Revisitando o lugar, confirmei isso pessoalmente e ainda repeti a experiência com amigos meus.
