  • Fire Suppressors work in cooperation to combat flames
ST. GEORGE, Utah (07/22/2024) Fire season is upon us nationwide. Last week, the National Interagency Fire Center and Utah Fire officials increased the national fire level to PLF 5, or the highest in the state of preparedness. Fire crews in many states are sharing resources regionally, including firefighters, preparing to combat wildfires.
Several wildland fires burning in the Arizona strip have the assistance of fire resources in Utah. The Cooperators come together from all agencies to battle blazes and keep people safe.
The Quail Springs, Gulch, Cane Springs and Grove Fires are in various stages of containment as federal, state and municipal crews work together to suppress them.
The fires are reportedly lightning caused and burning south and southwest of St. George in BLM’s Arizona Strip District.
