I had to restart this song in mid sentence and began over bc it was deep to me ...the fact of prison behind bars there are people in a silent prison in so many ways , relationships, jobs and other things. This one represents to each prisoner in life the courage they must have to make it out of this.... every day some one is getting hurt , on purpose or not some one realizing it, so to me it's simple , stand up for what you believe in bc it's one thing no one can take away from you ,your word , or your own hope.....it the two things that , the government or anyone can take away from you, so keep it and use it for the better things we need in the world today. Also great bass break bc it's normally a lead guitar riffs...great tune....

Yes Vito is ridiculously talented but Mike deserves a lot of credit for his unique voice and willingness to write lyrics about things other than chicks and partying. Mane Attraction is an amazing album
White Lion's "1989" album "Big Game" is also a excellent jem and underated album as much as "White Lion" much older material too is really great too!!🤘👍🥰

This is in my opinion one of the most awesome, underrated songs ever , perfect in every sense!! Every person's performance production, off the scale brilliance I so miss White Lion, well done to Mike Tramp for keeping the faith
There are no bands today that can write music like those bands from the 80’s did. If this song came today nobody wouldn’t think it was from the late 80’s. White Lion might not have been the most popular hair metal band but they kicked ass.

I just think back to my younger days when some of my good friends were all (seriously!!!) die-hard rockers! And how some of them would always disdain groups like this as: "glam rock," Hollywood/LA "pretty boys quasi-rock," wannabe real ROCK, rockers, etc...
But I still have this group's first 3 albums/vinyls...and you'd probably be surprised that they all really do encompass great lyrics, beats, synchronicity, hometown, East Coast camaraderie, great songwriting, great "messages" and or even not so "great" messages...
