Deion was brash but he could back up his brashness. I remember him telling a story about why the defense was playing Cover 2 and Deion said I got mines locked up and I don't need no help LOL
@Michael Alexander Dion was a all time great COVER corner. Not an all time great defensive player. Too much of a ME guy for my taste. I like him much more after he stopped playing.

@Michael Alexander No Doubt. The best cover corner to ever play the game. I'll take Rod Woodson in his prime from the same era as the better defensive player though. Rod was almost just as good as a cover guy plus he hit like a mack truck, blitzed and got strip sacks and stopped the run.

The NFl and NBA controls these dudes. If you score a TD or make a thunderous dunk, they fine you if you "taunt" or display what they deem demonstrative celebration.
In order to buy a franchise in the NFL, NBA or MLB is if the other owners approve the sale which is why there will never be more than one or two Black owners because they began doing that in the 1970s owners voting on a potential sale so people like Diiddy etc will never get a team.

Only thing I didn’t like about Prime, is that he went to FSU, and not the U. But I loved to watch him play, and no one had better end zone dances than Prime. Just one of those players you loved to watch as a kid, just like Jerry Rice. Football 🏈 just isn’t what it used to be.

Big Falcons fan. Born in Atlanta, otherwise can’t say I would be. More downs than ups. I was a teenager when I saw this actual game, but remember it vividly. Deion would have never left the Falcons if the owner we have today (Arthur Blank) had owned their team. He has locked up guys who he calls, “Falcons For Life”,who had half the talent and didn’t put fans in the seats like Deion did. With past ownership Julio Jones would be playing elsewhere right now. The NFL after watching this video has gotten so soft. That would have been a multi game suspension for both of them these days. That was a great game, entertainment wise, but my Falcons got stomped by the 49ers which was expected in those days. The Super Bowl was usually the NFC title game back then. Whoever won that was usually going to win the Super Bowl. It always came down to the 49ers vs the Cowboys pretty much.

Rison was good but I don't agree with him about Jerry Rice. Jerry much like Walter Payton, did his work during the off season and that paid off for him and allowed him to play into his late 30s early 40s. Rison was the dude who hung out and the dude who relied purely on his talent to get by.
Now having said all of that, I will say this, the NFL and NBA control or try to control these dudes and when they won't play the game and turn Uncle Tom, they league black balls them.
That's what the NBA did to Isiah Thomas and why he was left off the 1992 Dream Team because Isiah stood up to the NBA and then Commish David Stern and they did not like him for it and isiah changed the narrative in that when he entered the NBA, most Whites felt that the league was "Too Black" and several season ticket holders threatened to boycott games because of that.
Lastly keep in mind that a lot of these team owners in the NBA and NFL have slave like mentalities when it comes to these guys and they see these dudes as nothing more than dumb jocks.
Rison caught flack for hanging out with Tupac because America did not like Pac because of who his mother was so anybody associating with Pac was also looked at as a troublemaker.
The only reason Jordan is revered is because he played the Uncle Tom role and allowed the NBA to dictate his life on and off the court and ss a result they began touting him as the GOAT.
