Regent Seven Seas Voyager Days 11 and 12: Sea Day and Bruges

Day 11 was a sea day, and I took most of the day off from filming. I went to the gym, and Johnetta spent a lot of time and made some friends at the jigsaw puzzle table. We finished the day with a light dinner at Sette Mari.
On Day 12, we chugged into Bruges about 1.5 hours late, and did some sightseeing. After a carriage ride, belgian fries and belgian waffle, and a lot of walking, we headed back to the ship to see a show.

Day 11: Sea Day Day to relax and recharge the body and soul. Johnetta is so cute when she doesn't like when you film her eating. Her facial expressions are so hilarious. I love how you caved at dinner and had to have a taste of the Hazelnut Tiramisu.
Day 12: Bruges, Belgium with its beautiful architecture and its quaint streets and canals is one of the most beautiful places in Europe. I have added it to our bucket list. I love putting mayo on my fries. Belgian Chocolate by Callebaut is my most favorite chocolate in the world. The carriage ride is a nice way to see the area and to have a rest. The cobblestone streets do a number on my feet and knees. The comment about coming 4000 miles for Belgian fries and they we just okay, was hilarious. Jonetta's Belgian Waffle look delicious and the presentation was beautiful. My husband Andy who is a Brit would agree that fries need (Heinz) Malt Vinegar.
Another great video! I was somewhat disappointed with the Splendor but your video of the Voyager has restored my faith in Regent. The food looked so much better and the service seemed much friendlier.
Next weeks video will step that up a notch!

Our pleasure! You will enjoy Italy. If you have a chance, and if you have never been, get to Rome a few days early. We did that on a Regent cruise back in 2014, and had a great time.

Maybe things have changed since the early 90's but usually the frittes are served in a cone, I've never seen them served with onions. Mayo yes, onions no. If you ever make it back to Belgium, see if you can find a friterie stand where that's all they serve; You definitely won't be disappointed! I still haven't found anything close to the frittes I had when in Mons.
