Major League Baseball Scout Tim Wilken who worked with the Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Rays, Arizona Diamond Backs and the Chicago Cubs in a career that spanned from 1977-2022 joins Mick Gillispie a broadcaster for near two decades in the Chicago Cubs system to talk everything scouting. Mick was the 2017 MiLB broadcaster of the year. The two will discuss how to scout, share stories and talk how analytics has changed the process.

Mick Gillispie has covered the Chicago Cubs since 2007 and has been a fan of the team since the 1984 season. He has broadcasted spring training games or been heard on Cubs.com, MLB.com, 670 The Score, WGN, CSN-Chicago and Marquee Sports Network. He is an award winning play-by-play voice for the Tennessee Smokies Cubs Double-A Affiliate. He has also hosted many forums over the years at Cubs Convention including Down on The Farm.

Micks favorite pitcher, Jose Cuas, went to the Blue Jays after being dumped by the Cubs. He had a night wednesday in true Cuas fashion. 4 batters faced, he hit 2 of them, allowed 2 inherited runners to score, let in another of his own, threw 1 walk, and retired ZERO batters. Yes folks, thats baseball
Cuas is no MLB pitcher. I can't believe that he even made it to the Big leagues. He sucks.

I DESPISE THIS TEAM. I don’t call Dansby by his name anymore. I point to the screen and say “look, HUUUUUUUYYYYYYY (umpire strike call) Swanson is up to bat.” Or “Hey who plays SS for the Cubs? OH…that’s HUUUUUYYYYYY Swanson.” I don’t know? That’s all I hear anytime the young man is up, so I assume there’s also 3 brothers, because they refer to them as HUYYYY 1, HUUUUYYYYY 2 & HUUUUUY 3.
