Fr, this was also happening with Blackpink when people were comparing them with 2ne1. Honestly idk why this even happens, when big groups have new groups that are going to debut...Baby monster is their own group, same thing goes for BLACK PINK..
I think the comparison is inevitable since they come from the same company. It's kind of like when you have an older sibling at school, it's natural that your teachers will compare you two. It's annoying I know but unavoidable. You're right tho, Baemon will never be BP like how BP was never another 2ne1. Since they came from YG, I got high expectations they will make a name for themselves - be it BabyMonster or Baemon or whatever. Let's support them till their debut, blinks. It would be really interesting to see YG potentially having a large gg, especially since both aespa and itzy are smaller! Chances are the group would be 4/5 members based on YG’s history but it would definitely make the group stand out amongst the big 3 4th gen gg’s if they decided on a larger group! I am very excited to see what YG has in store for the new gg’s debut and I’m sure they are going to do amazing!!

I want them them to go for dark concept like Dreamcatcher. Currently K-pop is very saturated with girl crush. And literally every group debuted in past two years is going for girl crush. I don't think cute image will suit for YG. Its not suitable for their image. YG is known for its swag and badass nature.

Sometimes you can fit the companies image but I think they still have to have your own image and that's what I like about treasure is like they're not like big bang to anyone granted they did have a song that was called mmm b but what I'm trying to say is I've never seen black pink in my life do it cute song which is good cuz I don't think it fits them but even so it's still fits why these image. With China, yes, and China has been banning Korean related content as far as been revealed lately.
But YG is one of the few companies that manages to still have a strong presence in the Chinese market, so is not that big of a surprise.
They have YG China and YG Japan so it is normal that they can easily recruit from these countries.
There not the next blackpink but the first baby monsters like blackpink was not the next 2NE1. I think their concept will be different with a cuter style.
