This is the path I want for myself. Most of my career has been in compliance and regulatory, but mainly in pharma and medical device. but the concept and day-to-day is very similar! You touched on something very poignant: Getting buy-in from your internal customers is an uphill battle. I feel that the PCI DSS framework really hits home when trying to get Business Unit Owners to be receptive. The possibility of going bankrupt because one of the Big Three Card companies levy an insurmountable fine that you can't pay is a bigger risk than a few thousand dollars invested in having an internal auditor, vulnerability management team etc.

Hi Gerald. Really great video. Been watching your videos as I started a pathway of getting into Cyber Security. Did research on different domains. Technical and non-technical domains. I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Law and recently completed the Google Cyber Security certificate. Now looking to do the Compti Security+ 701. What a great video gave me some real clarity of to head off to from here. In a way where my next should be as I try to start my cyber security career. Appreciate in thank you. Also the video gave me ideas on how one would implement this from an insurance point of view. Thanks You again.

@Gerald After taking your GRC course, is there a certification exam I can take for it? Do you recommend a reputable place if there is?
My course is designed to give you practical skills an employer would want of a grc analyst. There aren’t any certs that map to that. If i had time I’d make one
I have a question if I complete the GRC master class will I be able to find work as a GRC or not. I want to get into Cyber from my background in Multimedia development and Health and safety but I want to streamline my courses and time?

ive no idea why the audio was mono channel
I was using my headphones to listen to you.
I think You might have a setting in your video editing software that is editing the audio in such a way that only one earbud is outputting audio.
I know that its not a problem on my end because I tested my earbuds multiple times with other videos and music and etc. and it works just fine. but when I play your video the audio is configured incorrectly.
I thought I’d let you know so that your future videos won’t be created with this unintentional default configuration.

I've got the same problem with the headphones. Only right channel is on. Very useful information, but very hard to listen.
Is there a difference between the master class you offer through this link and the master class offered on the TCM security platform?

Only if you’re doing support of federal work that requires clearance. Most grc jobs don’t need it

there was something off how it rendered. it may have been mono only, so if you listen in stereo you can here it. regrettably the issue wasn't caught in production.

I wrote this high level step by step book that will give you the strategic roadmap. simplycyber.io/book Then I wrote this 'pivot' kit literally to help people pivot out of their current job and into cyber. More detailed simplycyber.io/pivot Also suggest attending my morning threat briefs if you can 8am est every weekday at simplycyber.io/streams the dailies are like a cyber news show that i do live. good networking and good immersion into diff areas of field. best wishes
