You can go under the huge elevator before the clinic and you'll find a skull, bring it to the room where there was vicar Emilia and you'll get a really fine surprise ;)
Couple things I wanna say about ludwig or around him If you kill ludwigs head in his boss arena he drops you the moonlight greatsword. It consumes bullets for projectiles but its a really strong weapon. Thing is it has the same gripes and flaws I have with my favorite weapon the chikage. The moonlight greatsword is the only arcane scaling weapon in the game besides the other one that drops from the hardest boss in the game thats even later in the game, so it dosen't do any better. Ludwig is a late game boss thats debatable to be 2nd or 3rd hardest boss in the game by most of the community. So you are not getting the sword anytime early in your playthrough. Meaning you are putting points into arcane and seeing no results whatsoever until literally late game when you get the weapon. It does have ok dex and str scaling but thats not your primary scaling if you want to make the weapon viable. And its not like you can just pick it up and respec for ng+ or anything since bloodborne has 0 respec system. Making one of the coolest weapons having such a poor condition. Would be fixed if they added other good primary arcane scaling weapons to use prior to the moonlight greatsword. But nope. My favorite weapon the chikage does this same problem but a bit more bearable. Its the only bloodtinge scaling weapon with some decent dex scaling but it is locked behind logarius in the cainhurst castle. Though he's kinda a mid game boss and not even in the top 5 hardest bosses in the game I'd say. Add on top the fact you can just scale dex for a bit until you arrive in the mid game then start maxing bloodtinge. Makes the weapon so much more bearable than the moonlight greatsword. Other fun fact is I dont remember if you knew about this but certain weapons have what's called "serrated" to them. Very easy example is the saw spear and the saw cleaver. They are at the beginning of the game. Serrated means you have a 20% increase in damage against "beast enemies". There are a good amount of beast bosses in the game. Thing about ludwig is his first phase is a beast boss meaning serrated bonus applies to him but once he enters his second phase it no longer applies. Meaning ludwig is truly human once again since he is now talking and has picked up his once sword that he used so dearly before he became a beast. PS the bloodborne community wiki is the best wiki in a game I have ever used. I would link it but youtube automatically deletes comments with links in them since i tried a few videos ago and then comment just got taken. If you google it it should pop up just "bloodborne-wiki dot com". Don't use the ones from fextralife, wiki dot, or fandom. You can look around the wiki they have literally everything you can ask for and question about when playing the game. Its really well put together.

Before you beat the final boss you still need to get the other two umbilical chords. one is in the abandoned workshop and the other is in Iosefka's clinic. consume all 3 before you fight gehrman. Also you need to beat martyr logarius before you beat the game
You’ve betrayed me one too many times the lamp before Ludwig go down the staircase, drop down where the birds are, and then go until you find a snail falling from the sky and then pick up the whirlygigsaw. Did you even find the lamp?
Speaking of which, how do people end up figuring this kinda stuff out? Like going to a random spot to use the meditation emote to access the nameless king or going to the spot to get killed to access the bloodborne DLC? It’s just strange. Any item descriptions that give the locations away??
