I feel bad that Alhaitham is taking a lot of my Tighnari slots since I tend to run them in similar ways. I'm gonna try level Beidou so I can basically just run a second Electro Dendro team and keep them both, haha. Update: With some effort, I've got him his own set. And with some luck, if I get his weapon, he'll be rocking a pretty snazzy crit ratio on the gilded dreams set, supported by Nahida. So Tighnari has his own artifacts again, haha.
Nilou's burst does two instances of damage, both of which can vape, so you're likely seeing half of the damage she did. If you used nahida's burst and had hydro resonance on the team along with xiangling for the vaporizes, the sword was probably pretty good on her.
Kaeya main here! This sword is actually quite good for cryo DPS Kaeya with Chongyun infusion! I use Sucrose to CC and give him more EM, and Xingqiu to freeze and get blizzard strayer. Most of DPS Kaeya's attacks are going to be normal attacks and his skill, but his burst benefits from the large crit damage a lot too. In other words the passive not affecting bursts doesn't hurt him as much as it does Ayaka :D
It also works on a Melt/Reverse Melt Kaeya (with C6 Bennett) which he benefits more EM Stats than a Cryo DPS Kaeya (Mistsplitter still better on a Cryo DPS Build, specifically Freeze-Related).
Watching him struggle to find the snake was painful because he could have teleported to the waypoint closest to the boss and it’s like a minute long walk
I thought that hunting down the mini bosses to ascend the weapon was one of the most fun things to do in Genshin in recent memory. It reminded me of traditional boss hunting in other games I've played. It was refreshing.
The new sword actually doesn't really work with Nilou, since her hydro attacks are not infused normal attacks, but count as skill damage instead. If you wanna try main dps Nilou, play her with Jade-Cutter instead. Also, you only looked at the first hit of her burst, but her burst hits two times, and the second hit is actually stronger. So the 60k you saw wasn't even half of her actual burst damage (assuming that both hits crit).

Since he has C6 Bennett, I would recommend he use Nilou, Xiangling, Kazuha, Bennet. Just auto once in Bennett's burst before E>NA string to proc the sword. Anyways, you would want EM on forward vape Nilou, so the passive isn't all too useless. Also, probably best weapon outside Key for forward Vape setup for her. I would probably say Ben Burst > Nilou Burst > Kazuha EQ > Xiangling EQ > Nilou NA E NA X3 for this setup. Probs best use Ben Burst away from the enemy, I don't know how much Hydro Nilou Burst applies, so I'm not too sure on best setup for double swirl.
I would love a video about why you think Tighnari is so fun and a little showcase with different teams :D I know you already made a video about him but after some playing its always a different impression about a character. I for example would have never thought how much I love Yelan after the first hours of playing :)
I figured Ayato was a good contender, when using his skill his hydro attacks are considered normal attacks. plus he does benefit from em (i'm not sure to what extent though). Only issue I can think of is (from memory so not positive) he scales with crit damage.
It’s alright Keqing use her Q and her charged att a lot, which doesn’t benefit from this weapon, so it just become a stat-stick, consider it a jade cutter without the bonus att

If you need rate jade (or attack since the passive gives that) but if you have enough cr then use lof. Between lof and missplitter though I think missplitter wins hands down only by the fact that it buffs burst and charged too.
I've been using it for a while now with Keqing, overall dps is slightly below the two other premiere swords, and the normal atk bonus isn't actually completely useless, since her charged atk always begins with a normal, even when spamming.
My Ayato currently runs on it because I have no other 5 star sword or a consistent 4 star one TvT He doesn't have too much EM, but it's a nice Crit Stick by itself
Kazhua + C6 Bennett is probably the best user outside of Alhaitham or Keqing. Kazhua can probably forgo an elemental dmg goblet in favor of an EM one or just anemo damage to boost his raw skill and burst dmg. Could be a fun hybrid Support/Main Dps on Kazhua National
I think Ayato could take advantage of the passive, since the attacks he does after you activate his skill are normal attacks, mostly maybe in single target though? With Yunjin too just for added flavour.

I can see it being very useful for some niche/meme builds if you use characters with infusion on your team like Chongyun, C6 Bennett and Candace. Which would essentially let just about any sword user use any element they want. Soo... Maybe?
I feel like this would be pretty good for a Gilded Dreams aggravate Keqing, so long as you're willing to use her NA's more then you probably normally would, but I see that as a win win tbh
the enemy that's around the boss is easy to find cause if u use the teleporter that's right under the boss (on the map) all u need is to turn around and you should see a cave entrance that you just need to enter and then walk down the path
NA Ayaka is still pretty viable especially if u running her with a Yun Jin (even better if u have her at C6) so the weapon is a pretty solid on her as it provides a hefty chunk CD and the NA and e-skill buff based on EM. Also running Ayaka 4pc Blizzard will help alot as u only have to worry about em rolls since her 4cp set gives her alot of CR and the weapon alot of CD.
I've had success using it on c6 Bennett, with double hydro and Xiangling or Kazuha In his burst, he spam a lot of E and normal attacks, with vape, EM really helps, and low base attack is covered by his own buff
I got this weapon and tried it on ayato and it worked really well. It’s not as good as something like jade cutter but it was an upgrade from what I had on him
I have a dps Nilou she has the key with two piece wanderers and two piece hydro, she’s double crowned with 46k hp, 71 crit rate, 160 crit dmg, and 130 em. highest crit I’ve gotten with her is 600k :)
So hey, I'm actually one of the few out there that has a DPS Nilou. she's my lead of a Hydro squad of Xingqiu, Yelan and Barbara. All you need is a Harbinger of Dawn and she can run a Yelan-esque artifact build with 67/210, 50K HP, her skill numbers are basically the same as what you're getting with Foliar which bare in mind, this is coming out of a 3* weapon. Combined with the endless Hydro arrow barrage Nilou has gotten me 36 stars multiple times. If you want more out of your damage (and I'm in the middle of this since I finally just got her) getting Shinobu in place of Barbara for some reactions would probably do you very well. (Additionally now that I have Alhaitham I'm using her a bit more for her intended purpose but that build is still there for whenever it may come in handy)
Main DPS Nilou right here 🎉 I just loved her character too much to "downgrade" her to support. Balancing between HP, Crit stats and EM was not as bad as I thought, got some good artifacts and I'm fine to go. But Iron Sting totally works, Foliar seems quite niche.

The one time I was fine with losing 50/50 in wp banner to get Freedom Sworn and the game decides maybe I'm worthy of getting the dps weapon lol oh well, I don't have Alhaitham so I'm just gonna pass it around to my characters and see which of them will fit it best
when looking for the dessicated shell enemy from the ramp up of the boss room, you can actually just go to the tp that you normally take to get to the boss and simply turn around. the entrance to that ramp is right there.
I never know when you infused your NA or made it become a Skill instead, but I guess that if Ayato counts as infusion then maybe he can use it Put on Xiangling Kazuha/Sucrose and then either Zhong or Bennet and you can probably make an interesting Vape Overall I think Al Haitham is just a Spread character and his weapon just helps him get all stats he needs, afterall building ATK, EM and Crit all at once can be abit complicated, but with a weapon that sorts out Crit and helps abit on dmg it becomes alot easier to build him.
Half of Ayato's kit is based on him dealing NA damage. Yun Jin is one of his best niche supports, his Q boost NAs and so does his sword, even though he scales off of his skill level. Just like Cyno. That means the sword could work on him
The "issue" with Ayato is that he applies hydro so fast on his NAs that he barely vapes any hit besides the 1st one, so stacking EM on him is practically useless. In the end, it's just a statstick on most of the characters.
I have an idea regarding uses of the sword. I believe you should be able to run the sword on any sword user and have Candace's Elemental Burst on (for hydro infusion). This could be used to run vaporise or dendro core teams.
Kazuha main owning a C6 Kazoo over here! While i didn't pull for Light of Foliar Incision (planned to), according to the KazuhaMains subreddit's theorycrafters, the weapon is not the best on a DPS Kazuha due to it only buffing normals and Elemental Skill, while Kazuha's damage comes from other sources aside from the normal Anemo Infused attacks and his E. Of course, that's not to say it's bad, it's just not his BiS for DPS. Mistsplitter (which i, too, already own) would be a better pick, despite it only providing half the CDMG boost.
The interactive map for the new region still has a lot of things not completely marked or described, most chests don’t have a screenshot yet and many underground things are also marked as above ground (this especially f*cked me over when I was using the new underground map feature which hides all the items marked as above ground, though this feature is my personal highlight of the whole patch, or it will be when they complete the descriptions). I think the official Genshin map is by far the best but for now I would use the mapgenie version as a reference for stuff that lacks description
As someone with C6 Kazuha and C6 Nilou and using both of them as Main DPS I can say I felt spoken to lmao My Kazuha is rocking Light of Foliar Incision right now If you ever want to see them in action hmu and I will show you.

the reason i got alhaithams weapon is to give it too ayato and give alhaitham kazuha's EM f2p weapon , cuz think about it, ayato's elemental skill applies hydro and u can do massive dmg with vape
Fun fact, the Traveler can actually activate the passive because at the end of their normal attack combo, they preform an attack with elemental damage, and that attack does activate it
No he doesnt he s been in my team for at least 5 months now and i have never seen him deal elemental damage on his normal attack string. That is not a thing
@gomezthegreat6542 if you use him with Diona you can tack on another 200 em with c6 to give him 300 em without sacrificing much in the way of his normal stats you'd build for anyway. Throw in dmc or Nahida and you're off to the races with bloom Ayato.

@@chadachi3970 Just in general. Combining the attack, crit rate, and ability, the damage should come under the Foliar in all circumstances. I do agree though the black sword works really well on ayato, just not as good as Foliar. If I had both, I'd use the foliar on Ayato over an R5 black sword.
i was really sad (and still am) when i got this weapon cuz i was aiming for pjws. i still can't find someone in my team that can completely utilize this team. i tried playing aggravate keqing with this and i didn't like it. i put it on my traveler and now he has a 60-210 ratio and the passive is totally useless but it works so i won't complain ig
I thought the most reasonable one was keqing- (since people are calling him dendro keqing) She can use em aswell for her aggrevate dmg so the sword should be good for her
From what I heard and don’t quote me on this , keqing with em sands + aggravate is miles better than atk% sands someone did the math and her personal dmg was even better. But idk how it fares against her BiS MS.
Depends on what weapon you are running and the buffs active, but generally low base attack weapons, so e.g Jade is better with em sands. On the other hand if you're running something like Mistsplitter that has high base attack, atk sands becomes better. Atk sands is also often good if you're running Nahida since she already gives lot of em with her buff.
when i got my keqing built i will play nahida keqing kokomi kazuha comp i will share em with nahida(using 1k kazuha em's) and play aggravate i am thinking this will be really good comp and with light of foliar em keqing will do great damage

LoFi is good but only keqing , bennett , and alhaitham can make use of it unless we get more characters who infuses attacks

Melt Kaeya w/ C6 Bennett would be actually good on Kaeya (particularly using an EM Sands) in which is better than with an R5 Lion's Roar Kaeya due to overcapping total atk. (which leads to diminishing returns when Bennett buffs him especially when snapshotting [Kaeya's] Burst)

The sword's passive says it also increases elemental skill damage, so it should work on Nilou too

you’re supposed to kill the beats with their own element, it’s quicker. so electro scorpion with electro, pyro bird with pyro etc.

If you want more out of your damage (and I'm in the middle of this since I finally just got her) getting Shinobu in place of Barbara for some reactions would probably do you very well.
(Additionally now that I have Alhaitham I'm using her a bit more for her intended purpose but that build is still there for whenever it may come in handy)
Main DPS Nilou right here 🎉 I just loved her character too much to "downgrade" her to support. Balancing between HP, Crit stats and EM was not as bad as I thought, got some good artifacts and I'm fine to go. But Iron Sting totally works, Foliar seems quite niche.

when looking for the dessicated shell enemy from the ramp up of the boss room, you can actually just go to the tp that you normally take to get to the boss and simply turn around. the entrance to that ramp is right there.
I never know when you infused your NA or made it become a Skill instead, but I guess that if Ayato counts as infusion then maybe he can use it
Put on Xiangling Kazuha/Sucrose and then either Zhong or Bennet and you can probably make an interesting Vape
Overall I think Al Haitham is just a Spread character and his weapon just helps him get all stats he needs, afterall building ATK, EM and Crit all at once can be abit complicated, but with a weapon that sorts out Crit and helps abit on dmg it becomes alot easier to build him.
Half of Ayato's kit is based on him dealing NA damage. Yun Jin is one of his best niche supports, his Q boost NAs and so does his sword, even though he scales off of his skill level. Just like Cyno. That means the sword could work on him
The "issue" with Ayato is that he applies hydro so fast on his NAs that he barely vapes any hit besides the 1st one, so stacking EM on him is practically useless. In the end, it's just a statstick on most of the characters.

I have an idea regarding uses of the sword. I believe you should be able to run the sword on any sword user and have Candace's Elemental Burst on (for hydro infusion). This could be used to run vaporise or dendro core teams.

While i didn't pull for Light of Foliar Incision (planned to), according to the KazuhaMains subreddit's theorycrafters, the weapon is not the best on a DPS Kazuha due to it only buffing normals and Elemental Skill, while Kazuha's damage comes from other sources aside from the normal Anemo Infused attacks and his E. Of course, that's not to say it's bad, it's just not his BiS for DPS. Mistsplitter (which i, too, already own) would be a better pick, despite it only providing half the CDMG boost.
The interactive map for the new region still has a lot of things not completely marked or described, most chests don’t have a screenshot yet and many underground things are also marked as above ground (this especially f*cked me over when I was using the new underground map feature which hides all the items marked as above ground, though this feature is my personal highlight of the whole patch, or it will be when they complete the descriptions). I think the official Genshin map is by far the best but for now I would use the mapgenie version as a reference for stuff that lacks description

the reason i got alhaithams weapon is to give it too ayato and give alhaitham kazuha's EM f2p weapon , cuz think about it, ayato's elemental skill applies hydro and u can do massive dmg with vape
Fun fact, the Traveler can actually activate the passive because at the end of their normal attack combo, they preform an attack with elemental damage, and that attack does activate it
No he doesnt he s been in my team for at least 5 months now and i have never seen him deal elemental damage on his normal attack string. That is not a thing

@gomezthegreat6542 if you use him with Diona you can tack on another 200 em with c6 to give him 300 em without sacrificing much in the way of his normal stats you'd build for anyway. Throw in dmc or Nahida and you're off to the races with bloom Ayato.
It’s okay but you’d get more value from Black Sword if you’re a BP gamer. Skyward, Jade Cutter and Haran are all better if you have them.

@@chadachi3970 Just in general. Combining the attack, crit rate, and ability, the damage should come under the Foliar in all circumstances. I do agree though the black sword works really well on ayato, just not as good as Foliar. If I had both, I'd use the foliar on Ayato over an R5 black sword.

From what I heard and don’t quote me on this , keqing with em sands + aggravate is miles better than atk% sands someone did the math and her personal dmg was even better. But idk how it fares against her BiS MS.
Not miles better. Just better. Especially since there are external em buffs. e.g. Sucrose + someone else on the Instructor set
Depends on what weapon you are running and the buffs active, but generally low base attack weapons, so e.g Jade is better with em sands. On the other hand if you're running something like Mistsplitter that has high base attack, atk sands becomes better. Atk sands is also often good if you're running Nahida since she already gives lot of em with her buff.

when i got my keqing built i will play nahida keqing kokomi kazuha comp i will share em with nahida(using 1k kazuha em's) and play aggravate i am thinking this will be really good comp and with light of foliar em keqing will do great damage

LoFi is good but only keqing , bennett , and alhaitham can make use of it unless we get more characters who infuses attacks

Melt Kaeya w/ C6 Bennett would be actually good on Kaeya (particularly using an EM Sands) in which is better than with an R5 Lion's Roar Kaeya due to overcapping total atk. (which leads to diminishing returns when Bennett buffs him especially when snapshotting [Kaeya's] Burst)

Also Ayaka can get the passive of the weapon. Just a dash and I think the first hit of her charged atk is counted as a normal atk (I think so bc xingqius burst still hits and it doesn't with charged atks)
Otherwise 1 normal atk and you have the passive and then you can do charged atks
that weapon works on Ayato too ( I had tried once so am not sure but i did hear the sound of that weapon)
