Sharon has the eyes that can have that effect. I always think she's singing directly to my spirit self, whatever that is.
I've been fascinated to see how now, with the pandemic going on long enough, we've sort of run out of things that were filmed pre-COVID, and the effects of social distancing are seeping into the art we consume. There's something about these two walking on opposite sides of the river, and having their videos juxtaposed next to each other in the editing stage because they are unable to physically be next to each other without masks, that really made my heart clench.
Thats how I felt after watching Heat Waves by Glass Animals. The end of the video, when he performs in an empty theater made my heart hurt.

I don't listen to a whole lot of local natives, but this is probably in my top 50 songs of all time. Just incredibly beautiful, and lyrically brilliant.

I hope they don't. Mt. Washington along with the whole Hummingbird album was a perfect representation of the darkest and most miserable parts of their lives, it is my favorite album they did but it hurts knowing how much pain went into making it, and I'm so glad they managed to move past it.
