I keep an eye on the extended lens barrel for any dust particles. If I notice any, I wipe it clean before retracting the lens back into the body.
I am a Fuji user, but i love GR philosophy! Light, fast, sharp... Very nice set 😉📸📸👌
Beautiful photos
Thank you!
Every camera has its pros and cons, as we need to compromise what we want. Ricoh GR IIIx provides the benefit of a pocket-sized camera with the ability to take excellent quality photos.
I bought mine about six months ago and have first-hand experience with it. I like that I can take it anywhere with me and take high-quality photos. I expected it but still was surprised at how good the resolution is. If you want wide-angle shots, you can take and stitch several shots in post-processing. True, the battery drains a bit fast, but I can live with that. Sometimes, autofocus may not grab the intended object. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. As Eren said, you need to decide what you want. I wanted a small camera with large sensor and GR IIIx does deliver on these points for me. The alternative was my smartphone or DSLR. One does not provide the quality and the other is bulky and cannot be taken every time.
great review dude!!
🙏 thank you bro
@@erenjam 😎😁🤙
Man, i like your colors on video, super!!!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Interesting video content! 👏🙏
🙏🏼 thank you Goncalo!
Timely video, I’m just looking at maybe getting one of these for travel. Really happy with my X-T4 but it’s bulky. Tossing up wether to take the 27mm with the XT4 or pull the pin and buy the Ricoh 😅.
the 27 is a much cheaper option, usually id recommend going for that unless you really want a camera that fits in the pocket
You touched on it in the video, but why did you prefer the 40mm vs 28mm focal length? I feel like if I'm around tall buildings or other interesting architecture, I'd miss a wider lens, but for pictures of people in the composition, I'd like that 40mm.
You can not only choose the point of focus by touching the screen. You can set the camera to shoot by touching the screen: you touch the point to focus by touching it on the screen and then the camera focuses and releases the shutter inmediately. Almost anybody talks about this feature also included on the x100v
I have the XT5 with the sigma 18-50mm 2.8 but I really don’t know if I should get this one. I don’t always have the Fuji with me, and I really want to take a camera 24/7 with me. That or getting the 50-200
Another good one, Eren.
Although phones have pretty much won the battle with regard to convenience, cameras like this still offer far more control and better image quality, which is something keen photographers will always appreciate.
🙏 thank you, agree, packing a large sensor into this little camera is really impressive, cut above anything taken on a phone
I keep watching videos on this camera , even though i probably wont ever afford it :))
Love your work man. How did you achieved this retro-style film?
Thank you, the style is achieved though editing 🙏🏼
I shoot on a Q. My GR broke. I love my Q but I still say the GR was the best camera I ever owned. I was fearless with it. I'm seriously thinking of the GR3x. Great vid and top work...hope to bump into you in London someday....
Thanks Dave! Yh it’s such a fun camera to shoot with ! 👊🏼🙏🏼
I really adore my battered first gen Ricoh GR. It still creates amazing images and the handling is sublime. No other camera gives you such access to exposure controls in such a small package. I actually think the handling got worse in newer GR's :/
The real Fujifilm camera that was its main rival, was the XF10 camera… I had that camera before I got the GRIIIX, and it was a good camera… very underrated but the 28mm lens was a focal length that is, too some, a difficult one to do street photography with. You do get used to it though.
I'll have a lot into it 🙏🏼
I’m still so confused, I don’t know if I should get this one of the GR III, which one do you think is better for Portraits + Street Photos?
I’d recommend holding off on one of these and use a camera with a zoom range that has the two focal lengths. Play around with that for a while and see which one fits your style 🤙🏼
thx for the review. can i install your presets on android lightroom? thx
Thank you! Yep, you can
hi eren, i am travelling to japan at the end of the year and am wondering on your opinion of packing a light kit.
do you think a 16mm f2.8 and 50mm f2 would be enough for wide angle + detail shots?
or should i substitute the 50mm f2 for a 55-200mm, sacrifice the aperture but gain range?
Id stick with the two primes, there 55-200 is larger than both and the 50 is a great lens
I like some compare this camera photos against a iphone to see the difference? I want know is it worth carrying a phone and a camera with me?
The sensor is significantly larger than the iPhone, from my experience it takes better photos
Amazing cameras, they tick all my boxes apart from I don't enjoy using them. Really a flat, dull experience which I do not like. I had a GRii for 18 months but eventually sold it. I do have a GRI D still though 😁
I do prefer shooting with the fuji but the GR is still fun and a very different experience too
The main thing to me is that people think you are just using your phone, they don't care. But when i use my X-T30 lots of people start lookng at me, even tho it is a small mirrorles
totally agree
This pocket camera often encounters its nemesis: pocket lint 😂
The Ricoh is so unthreatening/ people think you are a tourist because it looks so cheap ( it isn’t)
Exactly 😄
How come you didn’t throw this baby into the air? 😄 Great video as usual.
😂🙏🏼
Is this video taken with a Ricoh?
The one in the begging
No, all taken on Fuji xt5. The Ricoh's video isn't that great tbh
Once they get a built in viewfinder I'll buy one
Hopefully in the IV … could do with WR too
exactly! Like I don't know why its so difficult for them to incorporate a built in viewfinder like the sony rx100 series
@@chvrleshd The RX100 doesn't have IBIS only in-lens stabilisation plus the sensor is only 1 inch instead of APS-C. Ricoh could solve it by making the camera bigger. But then its USP might get lost.
No viewfinder. Just use the optical one they have. I don't even use the screen.
@@r423sdex in Sweden the Ricohgriii + optically EVF would cost 1200USD. For that money I'd rather buy Fujifilm gear
I also talk with my hands. Same team.
No viewfinder, no dioptre! no use to me. I know aesthetics shouldn't come into it but it looks awful, were as the 100V looks so good as does the Pen F. But as long as you like it.
I agree on the look but in some situations its an advantage too :D
