As a fellow Toyota salesperson I thank you for all that you do. You sir, are a treasure to both Toyota and Toyota sales people everywhere. Much love from PA
Hey Jeff! Just got one of these as a work vehicle. Thanks for the tour. I learned a lot. My first experience driving a hybrid and our newest Toyota was a 2006 Solara. Still have the ‘04 Sequoia w/160K miles. This thing is slightly more complicated and I appreciate you taking the time to explain the features. I found the battery venting, cruise radar adjustment, fuel efficiency driving tips and display options valuable. Your humorous comments along the way are a welcome addition. Glad I found your channel!
I attempted to make a purchase to show my education appreciation. I want the best for myself so, I can direct others the way of future movement. Toyota is like gravy. Drive time.
The Sienna is among the most reliable vehicles, my 2005 still runs like new with 311K miles on the odometer without having to replace anything major except 3 timing belts, 1 starter, 1 radiator, 1 alternator, a set of catalyst converters, a few sets of tires and a few batteries. The Suspension, electric windows, ice cold AC, transmission, Engine, paint, fuel pump etc all original. New Sienna hybrid is interesting because it’s 36 mpg hybrid but I don’t like it’s cheap taillights that is substantially lower illumination than most of modern vehicles. Honda, Acura, Audi, BMW, Kia, Hyundai, Lexus, Infiniti, Nissan, Mini, GM, FORD, Chrysler all have superior taillights than this all new Toyota minivan.
i was able to snag the XSE FWD before it hit the dealership, it is an amazing machine, I traded in a 2020 XLE that we loved as well but was wanted the hybrid for fuel economy and tech. I love that they finally got rid of the cruise control stick and it now is on tthe steering wheel. It is smaller than the 2020 and the other things we noticed was the rear side windows don't open which was great for exhausting heat and dog gas rapidly. It also has a center console with the shifter there, I really liked the shifter on the dash and the open cockpit of the 2020. Over all we love it, it has 3 drive modes and is so quite and fast. I love the fact that its a head turner people look and say wow that's a mini van! ours is bright white with black trim and 20 inch wheels awesome!!!
My wife and I are both full time UBER/old school taxi drivers. We have operated 6 dodge grand caravans with the SXT trim. Our customers are really impressed that the doors automatically open for them as they approach the vehicle. Unfortunately, I did not see the automatic doors in operation in your video.
Because this is the less expensive trim. I don't know if they open from just approaching, however - I would think that's actually dangerous. You do, however, need to press a button or wave your foot underneath to make the doors open.
Always a pleasure watching Jeff's reviews but this one is my favorite so far. So damn funny. Damn near spit my drink out when he talked about the daylight savings thing at about 16:50
Buyer beware-- the 2022 Sienna will collect debris inside the rear bumper causing part of the Toyota Safety Sense to fail (RCTA and BSM). It's a design flaw. So if you own this van, be prepared to regularly spray out the inside of the bumper. I would not recommend driving the van on anything but dry roads with minimal dirt.
We also think the AWD sienna is awesome. The stigma that mini van is for only uncool family with kids vehicle. Toyota decided to change that and figure they would make it look really cool. Well it worked . We ordered one. My wife really likes that space under the shifter. Looks like the perfect space to put her purse.
Love your reviews. Is there anyway you can measure the length of space with the second row moved as far forward as possible and of course with the 3rd row stowed? I’m hoping for around 75 inches. Thanks.
Hey Jeff, I wish you were selling Toyota's in Leesburg, Florida, (central Florida). I just bought a 2022 XLE and am anxiously awaiting delivery in about two weeks. Can't wait. I love your personality and I bet that you sell cars, big time!! Keep up the great videos. I may watch just to see what you will do next.
You have the best presentation out of all the youtuber car reviewers. My god other ppl on youtube are just awful. Can never actually look at the vehicle without them yapping about dumb things no one wants to know about
This was helpful. I wish there was a memory seat function. My wife is a foot shorter than me. I also wish that the back seats could be removed like most past models...
Jeff, please call Toyota and tell them we in EU also need hybrid minivans like xle sienna - 8 seater. If not Toyota, is doing Proace with Stellantis for Europe, but only with diesel power. It that had hybrid power - works perfect for big family, taxi etc.
Jeff, If I needed a minivan, the Sienna LE AWD, with amazing mpg, would be the one . LEss is more! In my part of Ontario, where we say Toyota not TEE-ota, the weather has been splendid of late.
Great videos! I do have a very specific question. On your XLE vs LE video you say that the LE does NOT have the grab to unlock feature, however in this one it sounds like you mention that the LE DOES have the feature on driver and passenger doors. Is this a feature they have added to the 2022 LE models, or am I misunderstanding? My heart wants a woodland or XLE but my pocketbook is saying go with the fairly well equipped LE. The grab to unlock feature is very convenient on our RAV4 hybrid and could sway my decision one way or another for which trim Sienna we go for. Thanks!
Thanks for great videos Do all the toyota hybrids Have the same wonderful Climate control That you can have a.c. and heat Without damaging the engine? If so getting the sienna... 😊 Thanks
I’m being told by local salesmen that the “in a pinch” seat cannot be removed. You (as well as other video reviews and the Toyota specs) say that it can. You didn’t actually remove it in the video though - are you able to do a quick video of the seat being removed so that I can see it with my own eyeballs? Trying to get confirmation of this has been… well, I’m starting to feel like I’m on a Seinfeld episode
This would probably be great for camping you could probably remove the second row seats with a few screws I wonder what the fuel economy would be idling I know my Prius Burns about a gallon a night
I drove both the new Hybrid Sienna and 3.5 liter with dual injection. I must say new Hybrid Sienna is quicker off the line due to electric motors. 3.5 liter Sienna gets horrible gas mileage on the city (around 11 - 13) but decent on the highway 28. Expect 30 mpg on a front wheel drive Hybrid Sienna with hard driving.
I really like the woodland because of the AWD & higher ground clearance. I am hoping to buy a used 2021 in Oct of 2022 but I wonder if it will be hard to find and if buying a new one would cost the same. Dose anyone have a crystal ball? I wonder if the dealership service department could lift the ground clearance on another trim if a Woodland isn't available without compromising the warranty
How can i activate the front camera for easy parking on LE? I yet the rear camera when in reverse but I dont find how to set the front camera on LE 2022
hi, jeff I have the exact car like this. It doesn't come with a GPS. Can I buy the Toyota map sd card and install it? Where do I need to put the sd card?thank you!
Issues with this trim i.e steering wheel is thick with odd hold areas in the middle...Really uneasy while driving and not at all confident inspiring. Unlike Camry's door close sound, siennas one is solid...but only that thing is somehow solid....all other cost cutting is explicitly visible if u spend few hrs inside the vehicle...plastic slots inside air vents are unbelievably thin compared to any other vehicle in the world and if u press harder it would break easily...visor thickness is drastically reduced compared to any previous Toyota vehicle and reduced seat cushion thickness in 2nd row etc..
I just got my 22 this week and I cannot find where to store my 8th seat! My 2014 model had a nice storage section on the side. Where are we supposed to put the 8th seat when not in use?!
Thanks for the show, too bad there is no black interior option with 8 seats, kids make messes and this bright color interior just seems like not a good standard option.
As a fellow Toyota salesperson I thank you for all that you do. You sir, are a treasure to both Toyota and Toyota sales people everywhere. Much love from PA
Toyota and Lexus are the best based on my real life experience for 45 years.
Thank you for reviewing the LE model! It can be difficult to find good reviews of anything besides the middle/top tier models.
I like that the spare is housed within the vehicle. No dealing with rusted up bolts when/if you need to use it.

I’ve watched this video like 10 times now because mines is finally coming in a few months and I’m so excited to get it! Thanks Jeff!

Wow that’s a great endorsement! @toyotausa
@@Toyotajeff Especially from a guy whose leadfoot can only get 34 mpg from a Venza Hybrid ;-)
Way to go Donna!!!
Do you have front wheel drive?
Yes it’s front wheel drive.
Just bought my third Sienna van(2022 model). Can't beat these for reliability and resale. Thanks Jeff Teague for your informative videos!
Texas! 32degrees today 73 degrees yesterday! Thank you for this video!!!!!!! Decided to purchase o line delivery Wednesday!
this is the best vehicle review video I've ever watched. "holla!"
We just purchased the 2022 Toyota sienna Le in sunset bronze mica! I love it!
I'm from Texas.
And, I enjoy only Jeff's reviews.
I get on youtube, look for a vehicle review, and look for Jeff.

That’s a non hybrid fwd with a automatic transmission. This only shares the same name. Time will tell if it’s as good.
i have placed my order for the XSE AWD about 3 weeks ago
But have to wait at least 4 months to have it, can't wait to drive this beauty 😍

Funny, I'm from Raleigh (30+ years) then moved to Arizona as you mentioned in your trip example. Great help-thanks m'man! Just bought this LE.

You're hilarious, really enjoyable review. Question: Do the rear, side/third row windows open for venting?
Lack of rear bumper will make possible all rear repairs pretty much expensive even on minor mistakes

Wow that's a lot of paint protection... What paint does Toyota use that they require so much protection?
It’s cheap paint. Toyota is notorious for paint quality issues and premature fading
