Neglected to mention that there is a $27 toll charge to use the road.

Noticed that myself. I was last there around 2006-2007. Then there wasnt a toll road, but there was also a gravel road only to the top, and no fence on the outer side of the road. The top was also simpler with less parking, no cafeteria/shop. I dont know if its been privaticed or whatnot, but I agree, the toll charge is way to high.

@@vidarro8681 Dalsnibba is a mediocre viewpoint in Norway that has gained popularity solely due to its proximity to Geiranger. It is recommended to stay away from it.

No roads except small ones leading into farms/private property is privatized in Norway; Everything is paid for by the government in some way or another. A lot of people are disagreeing if it is the way it should be, but approximately 50% of road upkeep are funded by toll roads in Norway. This means that the people who use the roads are the ones paying for it. As it should be, yes? I find it funny how a toll charge is the topic of conversation on a video showing an amazing part of the Norwegian scenery, as you would easily pay $27 dollars for a meal and a toilet break just for a few minutes. Some things we need to pay for, if not, the road would not exist and no one would be able to enjoy the view. Regards, a Norway-resident who recently paid approximately 100 dollars in tolls during a 4-day road-trip.
