Helping the planet! I once had a convo with a friend that I was talking about cutting down on waste to help the planet for my future children and grandchildren and so on. He responded with "what are you talking about!? the planet will still be there" I just want to leave the earth in a better place than it was when I came in to it. A cleaner planet.

It's not always easy to get others to understand the urgency of the environmental situation and get them on board with eco-conscious living, but I think one way is to lead by example :)
