- On Day 5 of #VB2021 Alice Modolo made history by becoming the first and only French woman to achieve a world record. Alice's record-setting dive was in the discipline of constant weight bi-fins and she dove to 95m in three minutes and :12 seconds. A mere few minutes that changed her life!

I noticed she had a mask AND a nose clip. Does anyone know whether she was using some kind of fluid goggles, or something else similar to the Hektometer?
You can see goggles on 4:22. I think she put water in goggles before the dive.

is there water in the mask ? when I dive at only around 20 m I already feel my eyes literally poppin out... and I have to equalize with the entire mask, which is quite air consuming... and obviously not something you want to do at - 95 . So I wonder what kind of mask is that... any kind of mask at that depth would feel very uncofortamble and crushing your skull
As far as I can see at 4:22, she used goggles and nose clip. And thus, if she used goggles, then she put water inside it because it's impossible to equalize air in goggles.
@@1broccoli1 I wonder, what is the point to have goggles if you are putting water inside anyway. I know it's a thing, just not getting what the benefit is vs no goggles at all, do they put nonsaline water inside so it doesn't burn?
@@juliendemarque7250 someone told me that they use googles to have warm water in contact with eyes.
