Lol- That's a good name for him. Thank you Traci.
Thank you, you are so clear with explaining your process that we are able to follow you without feeling we have to run to catch up, as with some artist,. Your bloopers are very funny. Happy days,
Glad it was helpful. Thank you Cate.
what a nice watercolor. I really like the colors you have used. Well done and thanks for sharing
I just love that crab!
I think the crabs legs at the back right are due to shadows. You did a great interpretation and I love it. Great job!

You are just fab!🤣😂🤣
And so are your paintings!

Very useful! Lots to remember! Thankyou
So exciting seeing the slab for the studio, yippee! The crab looks really fun and not too hard, and it's in my favorite color combo so I feel like I must do it asap!! Thank you, Louise! 💜💛💜💛
Louise, this crab is gorgeous!!
My goodness Louise the crab is so cute. What a lovely painting, love the colours. Thanks. Helene
Love your style and your bloopers!
You are such a wonderful artist. I learn so much from you. I love your bloopers. A sense of humor is an essential ingredient in being an artist. We often get so serious about our work! I had to become a patreon. You're just the person I need to learn wet-in-wet. I have been doing dry brush watercolor and want to learn these methods.
Beautiful
Lovely unique treatment! I really enjoy your tutorials, I've learned a lot. I have found each artists seems to have a favorite pigment that they use in each painting. I'm so glad yours is Winsor Violet, it's beautiful.
Absolutely wonderful Tutorial!!!
Love your Watercolor 💙

I am in awe of all your art but this is the very first time I have ever looked at a crab and called him adorable!
Thanks Louise, so much fun and it will be great to go with the seashells tutorial. Can’t wait for these on Patreon
Absolutely loved this video! Crabs are one of my favorite animals for many reasons, but I've never attempted to do a serious study. I so much appreciate the details of your lesson, I will definitely limit my palette next time I paint. Thank you so much!
I absolutely adore your sense of humor... and also your work. :')
Looking forward to the tutorials on Patreon. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱😘
Thank you! 💜

A complementary sculler keem. Laughed out loud.
You are such a wonderful artist. I learn so much from you. I think I will find the photo and paint along with you because I love your crab and have been looking for one to paint. I also love that you don't take yourself so serious and include your bloopers.
Oh this is so much fun! I love your shadows and light as always! Loving the seashore themes too!
Thank you! 😘

Woo Hoo Hello from Moonta Bay in South Australia where crabbing is a summer favourite activity👏🏻👊🏼💐
Thank you so much for sharing this lovely painting and your fun outtakes.
Thanks Tracy.
Amazing!! Here, on the East Coast, we have a Blue Crab. I am inspired to give it a try after watching your fabulous tutorial. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
Thank you so much. You're a great teacher.
You're very welcome. Thank you.
I cannot wait for the full tutorial. He's so adorable.
Thank you!
Louise, you bring so much joy...the bloopers are really so funny and charming. Love your techniques and with the crab the color selection is beautiful. There are mqny, especially beginners that hesitate to use complimentary colors that are the main colors of the painting...thank you for showing us how lovely they can be and can play nicely! I always look forward to new subjects. I especially love the sea creatures and anything that has to do with the ocean. Thank you, I can't wait for the tutorials of the crab and seal.
Thank you Jeanne. I'll be working on the full length tutorials this week.
Just discovered your great vlog. I also do graphite underdrawing for my watercolours but somehow most if not all of my peers discouraged it. Now I rediscovered it 20 years later thru you.
Cuteness overload!
I always enjoy watching the out takes😃.
Louise, I am trying to paint your flamingo tutorial, hope it turns out good( i just love to draw, and i love following your tutorials. Thank you for sharing!!!!
He’s so cute
The crab is so beautiful. Thank you Louise for your tutorial and time.
You’re welcome. Thank you Delia. 😊
love your video out takes too..... :)
Just love it! Think that crab would make a great story book character. The complementary scheme worked so well. Thanks for tip on not having equal amounts of both -- make one more dominant. Wondering how other complementary colours would work on that crab subject; like red/green or blue/orange. Your line drawings look so accurate. Maybe some day you will share tips on how to get better at line drawings. Thank you so much Louise.
A new studio! How exciting. :) Enjoyed this and as always I have learned something new.
So glad. Thanks Don.
Another great tutorial, As soon as the vertigo leaves again , I really want to try this. Fantastic information.. thank you.
Thanks Marjorie. I hope you overcome it soon.
Who knew crabs could be cute? Hope all is well with you and yours, Louise and you'll soon get some time to squeeze that grandbaby again!
You’re bloopers at the end of the video made my day, thank you for including it 🤣, and as always, beautiful work and wonderful talent, thank you for sharing your techniques ♥️❤️♥️
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you. 💕

You bet! Thanks Alison.
Were nice painting 👍
OMG Thank you for this painting, I did enjoy it a lot. It's make me relax so much, when I'm so stressed at work I remember paintings like this and it's gets me true the day. Thanks you are such a talent artist.
My pleasure. Thank you Barbara. 😊
I love all your wildlife paintings....but right now i am having such trouble trying to paint a nice realistic scene of water with bluegreen clear wavelets and yellow warmish rocks below the surface.....oooh i wish you would show me how! Yours are the only tutorials online that really seem clear and informative. Love them thankyou!
Thanks so much Steph. That sounds difficult!
@@LouiseDeMasi it might just be my lack of knowledge.....much to learn! I cant wait to see you paint some landscapes with water! Im sure you will know how to make it look easy! I love this crab though i think i need to try him too!
Adorable 🦀
Ps. loooove your shirt!! So beautiful
Thank you very much. 😊
Maybe you could take a speech class? 🤣 Gorgeous crab. Love the colors you chose and the pose of the crab. It would have been easier to simply paint the shell. Great job!!
I need to! Thank you Susan. 😝💜
Awwww love
Love your colour combinations on this one Louise. I look forward to the tutorial on Patreon. I see potential for a lot of variations of colour with this one. what strength of pencil do you use for your drawings Louise?
it's so interesting! Are the drawings ( to trace) for the lesson available on your patreon? Thank you
I love your work, And how you explain everything. I would like to know what brushes you prefer, I've bought several different brands, I'd love to find a nice round with a good point.
👌👌
So thrilled to have stumbled upon your videos .Great to see Australian content and so beautifully created. I am new to watercolours but am finding your tutorials really helpful and straight forward . As a fellow Aussie could I request a tutorial for an Australian Magpie? ( I loved your Butcher Bird video ) They are such beautiful birds but being mostly black I find very hard to paint . Cheers Judy
Oops I forgot to say how exciting for you that the slab for your studio is already there. You must be so excited. Helene
Is that Nickel Azo Yellow ? Do you prefer non granulating pigments? Wonderful picture !
Hello Louise, can you tell me what brand of paper, watercolor and brushes used?
This crab in portuguese ( Nortest Brasil) is called Maria Farinha , the translation would be something like YUCCA ( cassava) MARY. Funny , isn´t it?
🌹🌹🌹
Por favor ponga subtítulos en español🙏
Mam please make crocodile
Thanks again! Your bloopers crack me up! That, “I am totally serious” look, is what makes them so funny. You are quite charming! Thanks from West Virginia, USA! Btw, what does it cost to become a patreon?
Lol-☺️ Thanks so much Danita. If you'd like access to all of my tutorials on Patreon you can join on the middle tier which is $6USD a month.

Hi Louise. I love this crab. When I go to your patron it doesn't show up. How can I access the line drawing? Thanks,
Jane
Thank you Jane! I mention at the end of the video that it will be on there next month.
@@LouiseDeMasi Thanks!
hello - I want to buy a lesson from you - but I care what language they are taught in? Are there subtitles or Russian translation?
