A Lamy 2000 can be had for 175.00 Canadian .

Can't see them selling a ton of those at that price. It seems that the company got used to the fantastic margins of selling coloured water in fancy bottles, and sought the same level of profit margin on the pens - they'll quickly realize this is quite untenable. Thanks for the review, Doc!

Stephen interesting and fun review, I really like the name of the pen. Agree that for the price that is being charged a Leornardo is a "no brainer". But as you said "there is something for everyone".

Thank you for a good, honest review. I do agree with you about the price. It's definitely overpriced for what one would get.

I was waiting on someone to review their pens for a while. Thank you for the review! Kinda disappointed that the quality does not match the price and feedbacky nibs arent my favorite either. I feel like the Pen looks kinda bland as well with nothing on that centerband

I like how Dr. Brown uses a coral lamy safari. i love mine and dragons napalm ink is a perfect match to it

Even for half the price it would still have too good of a competition on the market. For me - cannot believe anyone choosing this particular pen over anything; LAMY Safari seems to be of better quality for 15 E.

I really like the looks of their wooden model (Caravelle), but paying more than double the price of this... well, they'd need to get everything perfect, and seems like they're not doing that. Thank you very much for this review, I can finally cross this out from my wishlist.

Thank you, Stephen. Egad. That colour is indeed sloop.

I like the pen but the price...wow. I'd buy a Visconti Rembrandt, some ink and have money left over for a nice dinner out.

That color takes away points anyway, but the price - bleh. Team Leonardo!

I know this has nothing to do with this vid., but I would like to know your views on arm writing: is it better than finger writing?

    hello, how do you do?
nice and informative review as always, thank you.
I have a question: is there any brand that makes nibs intencionally to write in reverse writing? nibs are not made to write this way, I figure. But I ask you that because you always cover reverse writing in your videos.
Thank you, I wish you have a happy 2020.

they aren't made anymore, but look for a Parker 180. You can probably find a very nice one for less than 150$

I have seen Jacques Herbin fountain pens in Australian dollars for $400 AUD all metal body, nice but at least $100 too much in my opinion.

In Europe it's £250, which is $300 +. Too expensive.

Nice review price and value are not matching.

Maybe for 100$ someone would buy it.
