- Blow Up the Outside World, Chris Cornell, Santander Performing Arts Center, Reading, PA; November 22nd, 2013; 2013 Acoustic Tour, Final song before the encore
OH YES! I can see his hand clearly on the frets, gonna use it, thanks to Chris Cornell and whoever filmed it.
Couldn't be better, eh?
Here is a great lesson, based on this performance:

I saw him twice live. So for this video. If I was ever going to pay to watch a solo person on stage with a guitar and a mic, no one else would be more perfect than watching Chris. This is true music.
Here here
If this doesn't make you smile
You don't have to cry
If this isn't making sense
It doesn't make it lies
I know you're alive
In the Superunknown
And you will be missed until we meet you there
Probably his most honest song. He gets into the groove of the song by the second chorus. You can tell he falls into the song there.
I've listened to this video 500x and it bums me out that this recording isn't better
Self-fulfilling prophesy in many of his songs
The way he ends this sounds so outrageously cool live!
+Jon Karch Fuck yea!!
See Chris live was one of the biggest highlights of my life. I will never forget.
Not seeing him is one of my biggest regrets

Still can't get over the shock - I don't want to believe he's gone. I'm devastated
RIP
over a year later and me too friend, me too
2 years now and still in disbelief
Still think about it everyday...
nearly 3 years and I still am devastated
there's just this fucking void in my life that won't go, knowing I'll never see him
That Voice!!!!! Simply amazing...what a gem...RIP ♡☆
Tisha K. You're face is simply amazing..but yes, he was The Incredible Voice...that control, range, pitch and wicked vibrato, he had it.
This song has great lyrics, and is obviously about depression, which is something Chris Cornell clearly struggled with. artists like this are successful because they are able to write deep, meaningful lyrics. they have a talent for taking their tormented thoughts and ideas and turning into something creative, that means something to people, instead of letting the thoughts overwhelm them. this song is one of my favorites
everything this man touched turned to gold . . .a rock legend. RIP
"Nothing can do me in before I do myself." Ugh...if only that weren't true, Chris would still be with us, playing shows and making the world a better place.
That hits allot different now than it did in 1995/6.
Chris will always be my favorite singer forever and ever. R.I.P. Chris Cornell
RIP. Thank you for sharing your gift. Godspeed
He was best musician ever. So far beyond others
John, Paul, George and Ringo: "Hold our submarine!"
Saw him live in Birmingham on the #HigherTruth tour only last week. This track is mind blowing live and anyone of the opinion that he can't sing must be deaf.
I was at this show. He was so incredible that night! Glad I have some of it to look back on now. Thanks for your videos from that night....
That would have been so awesome!!
I was there too 5th row center. One of The most epic shows I’ve ever seen.
That Jeff Buckley anecdote is so sweet
you can tell Chris is tired singing this but he still gives it his all..the most amazing person on earth..
Then why would he sing it?
'Cause the fans wanna hear it. Derp.
nice one :-)
evekurocieru I agree with you but that’s what made him so special he gave us his all I was blessed to see this live in the 90’s he was just such a great overall musician I’ll miss him so very much
I don’t think he’s tired of singing it all.
Loved the Jeff Buckley reference.
R.I.P. JB
I was at this show.. this song was INCREDIBLE live. became my favorite song after this
I'm so sad... We will never forget you Chris! RIP
Chris is a legend to us!! Legends never die!! RIP Chris you made this a better place for us all!! Such a beautiful song love this version I had to learn it after I heard it!!! It’s great!!
Goddam, man... no one sings like you anymore....... the chorus's in this song stood out here as if he were singing it back in the 90's......... his voice was primed here.
I mean, it was an awesome performance, nonetheless, but this is definitely not his voice in its prime.
If you make songs like this you never die. Maestro Cornell.
He is awesome live.
Cool
Nice. And the red landline tele is an interesting touch.
I just love that was Jeff Buckley's; bummer he's dead
Best performance of this song so far i seen, and i seen alot of em
My darling beloved Chris, let's blow it up together. You are still with me.
We are and always will be together.
Music and pain create understanding.
Understanding and pain create music.
We loved and hurt too much.
Only i know how i understand uou my dear brother. X
See you in heaven soon.❤
This. All the love, all the songs.
Thank you Jim or to whoever ultimately recorded this concert live...absolutely amazing acoustic performance...so glad it is memorialized in this medium so everyone can see what an amazing talent he was.
The refrain is so touching. Clever analogy which delivers a punch. Those who witnessed this performance were surely changed for the better revelation.
I love you Chris...Rest in Peace my friend...
Don't let the world bring you down.
I went through all the same experimentation as a kid . Hooked up to computers in dark rooms getting frequencies and electric brain stimulation that mom was paid for. It Took a long time to forgive for that and even longer to endure and have stability after the trauma and manipulation and triggers it caused me in my life. I still battle the frequencies that trigger physical and emotional responses but I'm more aware and able to control my reactions today. Go bless you Chris I always loved your music . SOUNDGARDEN RULES
So hauntingly lovely.
I saw him twice on this tour. One was at this show. Thanks for putting this up. I thought the BUTOW was awesome at this show.
Canciones que acompañaron mi adolecencia.
great show from one of the greatest.
thanks for sharing.
Que grande chris 👏 🙌 se te extraña demasiado ❤❤❤
It's hard to accept beautiful, talented people getting wasted by this world.
beautiful
That was an amazing performance and he knew it. That smile on his face at the end! Killed it.
thanks again ,so simple you make it look ,true art brother
One of the best shows I`ve watched from him. Impressive...
Love you, Chris.
He's the best I love his music and miss him
Amazing show! I caught the Indianapolis show the week before and the Chicago show 2 weeks later as well. Following that tour for 6 weeks has been one of the most amazing adventures in my life...... Such a profound loss....
Say World Clearly! Thanks!
To make that beautiful melody over that odd pre chorus progression is nothing less than genius.
Wow. Amazing! Beautiful on the guitar.
Thanks Chris!
Maravilloso único......ya nadie canta como él
You're amazing, @Jack. 🤩
Something seemed to break him......legend
Wow, R.I.P., Chris!
The ending is killer
lmao the dude at the start, "calm down buddy"
loved this song!!
Love this man
Chris sure did set the bar high in music!
I love you Chris
What a vocal beast. Go listen to "Jesus Christ Pose", "The day I tried to live". Mind blowing. We miss you Chris, especially your wife and kids.💔
Never Forgotten
I hope to see you soon, Chris
All you singer/songwriters out there.... he made it look easy didn’t he??
Ya he did!
🌹
Voz insuperável, faz muita falta 🙏
Lucky person he brought with to the inside world
what a show
He could make the best and logical changes of vocals on a any song.
Beautiful :)
album release: "this is some beatles bullshit written to propel chris further."
today: "i was very short-sighted. also, i didn't understand those that come before you so much (or even the full reach of paul and john..).
this is an important song. i'm also going to be teaching myself to play this soon.
i'm also a drummer trying to elevate myself to playing a song-writing instrument.
Optimistic version- (read bottom)
Thank you for a new day
For another chance to try
Thank you for not asking why
Thank you for the pain and grief that brings out delight , yess
And thank you, for the small things
For another chance to find
Thank you for some being kind
Not one for giving up i will perpetually, Seek growth , ooh
I’m grateful for this life I lead,
I’m grateful for the things I own,
I’m grateful for the time that I spend all alone
I’m grateful for the little things
To help guide me through the dawn
start to think again it could be much worse
It could be much worse man
Someone can bring much pain within
Do not let them spoil the rest.
Thank you from me to you letting bad stuff regress
So try to spread some peace and try to spread some warmth, yes
I’m grateful for this life I lead,
I’m grateful for the things I own,
I’m grateful for the time that I spend all alone
I’m grateful for the little things
To help guide me through the dawn
start to think again it could be much worse
It could be much worse
It could be much worse man
Want to help me understand
Wanting me to make a plan
Trying find some peace and calm
To help guide me through the dawn
Wishing though I never ran
It could be much worse
It could be much worse
It could be much worse
It could be much worse man
It could be much worse
It could be much worse
It could be much worse
It could be much worse man
It could be much worse
It could be much worse
(Repeats 3x’s fading away)
- Hell0! How’s it going? Hey I’ve been Warzone parodies for awhile. Been switching it up some lately. This is one of those switches. It’s just for fun. The original song is a masterpiece. Mine is just for fun. Hopefully it doesn’t offend you. Not my intentions. Imagine Chris singing it. Or not, regardless. Positive energy, peace and blessings to you! (If you’re going through depression/addiction & Ever want to talk to a rando, I’m here. Not qualified in any way but I can listen and offer my advice or just listen. Lemme know. Peace:)
♥️
genius
Anybody notice when he said somebody tried to do me in before I do myself in. I guess he was letting us know
Has your heart ever broken harder than watching a dearly deceased Chris Cornell talk about having a taken too soon Jeff Buckley's phone??? Why is God/karma so harsh.
We have arrived
That voice :(
Damn!
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
♥️💣
R.I.P.
Jackpot! 777
Kinda hard to watch..RIP❤️
R.i.P
This is not an easy song to sing. I still had people come ask me who's the band . So I reckon I wasn't that bad. It was a Jameson whiskey night.
I feel like the audio isn't the best here, and it was probably godly in person.
🥺🥺😢😭
RIP
Where’s the phone now?!?! 😭😭😭
I always wondered what the phone was for...
Sad !!!! Sold his soul then change of heart , the inevitable
What key is this song in? How does E, C, F#, and Am fit into a song together?
He was right, nothing did him in before he did himself. Sad!
Just tell them it was me, Jim Powers.
📲
xoxo 27 ers
oh he sang about his own demise just like lane staley so much talent lost rip
ironic first line. rip chris cornell!
That's not Jeff Buckleys phone no more......
