My schools show this year is the same thing but its called prometheus instead of promethean 😂
You should do Lexington hs winter guard 24! You’ll only find the finals run on yt but even that run is rlly good!!

I said this somewhere else, their talent is insane, but I feel like their designs aren't showcasing that. It seems like the past couple years their shows have been very literal, almost like it’s just them reading us a story straight from classic literature, direct from page-to-field.
I wish they had instead let those same stories inspire their show designs, rather than fully dictate them, like for example if this show was called "Stealing Fire" or "Flame Catcher", or just something a little more exciting that pulls the general audience in. It feels like a lot of what they put on the field is very literal, again just like scenes pulled from the source material, and it doesn't leave much room for interpretation or really personal emotion when watching the show, and if I haven’t studied the backstory beforehand, I can’t connect with much of what’s on the field. It's almost like watching history channel? Idk if that makes sense😂
I love Crown and they've been my favorite corps forever, I wish them the best next year!
Hey just want to point out for you and those that may read this that "Promethean" is NOT a literal retelling of the story of Prometheus. The show includes the story of crown embodying the Promethean ideal that comes with Zeus giving humanity a second chance with the fire. This is where the gold comes from, the signature crown set, the Mello lick. This all comes from this fire fueling what crown is and using the fire to achieve the Promethean ideal which crown has done every season. Hope this helps understand the story that crown told this season through their show: Promethean! Also that is why the show is called Promethean and not something else because Promethean refers to the ideal that comes from the fire, not Prometheus as a character.
I completely agree their show didn't seem to really showcase their awesome talent. I feel like they flipped with Boston Crusaders as last year with Boston's White Whale show had great guard but they just blended into the background. This year Boston's Glitch show strongly featured the guard in its design. Whereas Crown's 2023 show really had the guard stand out in the story of the Round Table - that was such a great show! (Still, kudos to the guard in this year's crown show - just amazing talent.)

@wickedmps I watched their semi-finals performance and I really enjoyed it! I will definitely give it another watch even though it won't be a true reaction :)
Crown is my fave corp...really!.... But this show was just boring....i didnt have a single emotional connection personally.
