I have observed very young children write from right to left. It is natural. We force children to write from left. It takes sometime for them to learn to write from the left.

Arabic, though probably older than even Hebrew (it clearly looks of older origin as it has only three vowels and retains declension), was not most regularly engraved on stones but traced on the sand, or on clay when a more permanent support, with the fingers or with a stick, which was indeed easier to form from right to left if you used the right hand. If you use a reed pen, or even a felt pen, writing from right to left is easier if it is calligraphy that you want to achieve, as it is a kind of work more like carving, especially if your inscription has to be as big as for a signboard. But the oldest support for writing was the sand or the soil however short-lived it was, and it imitated the dejections of camels which were also used as a divining tool, hence the ambiguous form given to so many letters. The reason why the Greeks passed from right to left to left to right is even more haphazard than you think : they first wrote in both directions, from right to left and from left to right back and forth, before they ended up going from left to right only, but while they made that choice most of their letters were engraved on stone (or on wax tablets) : they started writing on papyrus only when Alexander conquered Egypt, that is to say long after the written language was formed.

But everyone knows that Hebrew is more ancient that Arabic, all scientist agree on that, and probably arabic comes from Hebrew, Hebrew is the mother lenguage of Semitic

    • @MrMirville
      @MrMirville Před 2 lety +5

@@Lorenzo-ib5rg Arabic shows all signs of being a more ancient language by its structure than Hebrew. Arabic has declensions with case-endings. Hebrew lost them (safe for the directional accusative) like the late Arabic popular dialects did. Arabic has verb moods. Hebrew lost them except for a few irregular verbs. Arabic has only three short phonemic vowels, like Sanskrit. Hebrew multiplied the vowels like most modern languages did. Arabic kept the traditional semitic order : V - S - O. Hebrew turned to S - V - O. Most consonants Arabic distinguishes carefully have merged in Hebrew rather than conversely, except for fa. Hebrew has only 7 conjugation groups resulting from the merging of 19 (10 active plus 9 passive) Arabic has retained. Arabic has far more regularly derived nouns and adjectives from verb roots. Hebrew no longer derives them so regularly and predictably. One can say that Hebrew is to Arabic in this regard what Dutch is to German : the latter has retained a more archaic structure.

Greek language was written from right to left as was the Etruscan language (whose alphabet gave rise to the Roman/Latin alphabet). There are other semitic languages such as Geez that did make the switch from . The question really should be why did the Greeks/Latins make the switch and the Arabs did not. Given that Arabic is a cursive language where letters are designed to connect, it would be super hard to just change the orientation in this day and age.

English and the romance languages shown in this video may have had their writing system based on Latin, but European languages are actually part of the Indo-European family (Aryan), just like Persian, Pashto, Punjabi and Hindi
European languages had their own scripts before Latin like the Germanic runes or the Celtic script that was written on wood, and they were also written left to right

The Greeks actually wrote in both directions using alternating lines. One line would go right to left and the next line would go left to right. So, some symbols that were not perfectly symmetrical would be written backwards if it went right to left. But, at around 403 BCE it standardized in Athens.

If you look at the Roman Latin alphabet and compare it to the Phoenician alphabet (which is where Latin, Greek, and Semitic language scripts come from), you'll notice some of the letters in the Latin alphabet appear similar to Phoenican characters but they appear backwards. That's because Phoenician was read from right to left. You would probably have to learn to write all of the Arabic symbols backwards because Arabic is a cursive script and the characters would no longer connect unless you reversed their orientation. I think it would mess with too many people's heads.

Eg Hebrew right to left came before Arabic right to left.
Even the black stone Kabaa in Saudi has existed before mohmad rip.
And was adopted by Saudi Islam as something sacred to ensure that all Muslims across the globe visit Saudi and ensure that Saudi never runs out of power and ppls money.
Thereby weakening Iran which woke up late to the desire of having more power in the region and since then has not been able to topple Saudi power center.

    Greek isn't latin rome ..
Greek letters are very different from one another..
Arab's wrote twisted as same Grave since BC times was used . therefore the school of Rome Latin was divided that time in bc ..
And so arabs and jews ..they are twisted ..as used god school.. Latin SPQR...since
And so Spanish and Italian and American and French and Romanian..they remained as lairj and Brazil and Mexico and Argentina..the spelling is close ..is very similar... articulation but the accents is a bit whats makes this separation..
    And never was a Jesus..
This is issue...as arabs and Jews used the Grave since BC times... The rome Latin school.. grave...but the problem is. .they forgot is a grave and should treat with more respect... rather than stealing and robbery and violence and corruption
    That's it.
    Angel Gabriel.... said arabs
Learned prophet Muhammad to read and write
    Thats not a shame
What is shameful is how they fighting between them religions

Haha laugh populations of this Christian and catholic and Jews haha haha haha
    While Arabs.
    - angel Gabriel learned to read and write .

It’s because the devil which they only become the color red when
expose to the sun, is opposite of GOD By nature. Back in ancient times when the original man was in power we were closer to the original practices of the true God. When the devils risen to power, and you able to identity them by seeing who are in power today. By nature they are completely opposite of GOD in their language, practices, beliefs, actions, and thoughts
