What a great watch! I’m not a square shape man per say. My lifestyle is either casual or sporty but I love this design!! The Art Deco numerals are sweet!!! Love that square second subdial!!!!
I like this watch a lot, looks very good quality,as a fan of vintage watches I think these have more than a passing resemblance to late 60s longines ultra Chron square case and to ussr made Slava square of the 70s,this would also look good on a thin mesh bracelet.
This is a great review! Very cool watch, I love it. The purple one had me interested. And big thanks for sharing about the crown. I usually wear my watches loose, but that was a great piece of info to keep in mind.
I wholeheartedly agree with your advice regarding case diameter. The square watches that have larger case diameters start to look ludicrous. Your 29mm is the sweet spot, I think. I own a couple of vintage 30s watches that are perfect squares and that are 22mm, which is of course tiny, but it’s amazing how wearable they are for gents (and of course are perfect for women). I think it’s something to do with the angularity and straight lines echoing those of the straps, the combination of which coming across as streamlined and harmonious. I know it’s old school, but with the square watches at 22-24mm it is akin to a ‘bracelet-watch’.
I have tried this watch before and thought it's a good size for me. So based on this experience, I worried a lot before my Santos Dumont XL arrived. Luckily it wears well on my wrist. Maybe because the different case shapes still affect a lot.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the Santos Dumont XL. These square watches seem to fit really well on smaller wrists...the Neomatik Tetra (39x39mm) fit decently well on my wrist too. Despite being 10mm larger than this Tetra lol
@@engineer_wannabe If I'm not mistaken, the actual dimension of the Neomatik Tetra is 33mm X 33mm. I read somewhere that it's called 39, cause it wears like a 39mm round watch. I am torn between the 29.5 and the 33. BTW, what is your wrist size? Stay well.

I am very close to buying the purple dial one. Your comprehensive and genuine review is helping me a lot. Thanks for the great video !

I just looked it up and you're right, they are very similar. Yes that's a good point, I've been keeping my eye out for a thinner mesh strap
Excellent review!
This looks fantastic on your wrist.

TL;DR less can very definitely be more in this case!
Thanks for watching and for sharing you experiences! I hadn't considered 22mm square watches but will keep my eye out for them out there :)
Hmmmm. Nomos has never really crossed my radar, but this looks sweet. I do like Art Deco style pieces, I may have to investigate further. Keep well.
Thanks for watching! Hope you stay well too!
Nice review. Interesting design, and nice lugs but I think I’d prefer saving up for a reverso due to the wearability.
Yeah, the Reverso case is so nice!
Good review and wrist shots. What's your wrist size?

I like nomos but In a round case !!! I like the second hands which is at the 6 !!!
Hello, which is your wrist size? that’s a very important detail.
I really like the grey Tetra
The larger one with the textured dial? It is very nice!
What???? Is is 29.5mm? Looks bigger than I imagine.
What’s your wrist size?
Niiice. I'm considering the smaller Tetra but I don't know how often I would wear it.
It can be quite versatile if you really wanted to wear it everyday
