Where shall we begin?
Not long ago, a young girl knew what she wanted to be
So she trained and she learned to travel and explore the unknown galaxy
Elizabeth had a dream
Maybe like you
Maybe like me
Mankind searched the universe
Curiosity can be a curse
Elizabeth had a dream
Maybe like you
Maybe like me
Exploration expanding
A dire mission withstanding
Far away a ship flew interplanetary
Elizabeth, the commander, she wasn’t ready
For the malfunction
For the malfunction
The shuttle had been off
It was unprepared, it wasn’t fit to fly
“Houston!” she screamed
“Houston, we’ve been breached!”
There was a survivor, just one survivor, without anyone
Elizabeth had a dream
Maybe like you
Maybe like me
Mankind searched the universe
Curiosity can be a curse
Elizabeth had a dream
Maybe like you
Maybe like me
A woman lives far away
On an unknown planet called “A”
There was a survivor, just one survivor, without anyone
Directed by Casey Pierce (bytournament.com)
TDWP is such a beautiful band. I'm so happy they don't produce the same sounding albums / Ep's over and over. These guys are the ones that stand out in such a big way in this music genre. They never sound the same, they push themselves to write better and better and they just can't produce a bad song. I'm so grateful this band exists. They never disappoint me.
Couldn't agree more
just a notha part of tha stars 🌟
seen them finally for the first time after like 15 years listening , 2 weeks ago, ... i was so happy man , amazing
that breakdown is glorious.
Yes indeed it was!
+Peyton Weir that i can agree wholeheartedly ,2:20 those background sounds, so eerie but inquisitive,it's brilliant
+Peyton Weir yeah :3
Peyton?! What up buddy? :D haha small world
we have the same name :^v
'"HOUSTON!" She screamed, 'HOUSTON, WE'VE BEEN BREACHED'"...... Absolute favorite part of the song.
At first I was all like, "Planet A?" Then I gave it a listen and I was all like, "Planet Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyye!"
kisow244 Planet Ayyy lmao
hahahaha.
Lol go check out Daniel Williams Twitter. He found this quite hilarious as well
Matthew Gomez lmao thanks dude! wish I had same twitter handle as youtube maybe I coulda got a shout out >.>
dank meme
2:20 most atmospheric breakdown ever
Lucas Garibaldi breakdown at the end is diabolical
For what ever reason this song makes me cry
+billy bonolis Because it's beautiful
+billy bonolis Honestly, it's the same for me. It really gets me thinking about so many things.
+billy bonolis For me, this first time I heard Moongod, I was like, ''Wow, wtf is this?!'' I've never had a metal song make me emotional before.
Josh Maillet Listen to emotive hardcore or screamo trust me it's extremely underrated I used to think that anything that wasnt metal was shit but it's not and skramz sounds so relieving just trust me bro
+Insignificant Jew The Ghost Inside has songs that do that to me. Mainly White Light, Metalcore can be every bit as emotional as any other genre
I've listened to this song about a billion times and I'll listen to it 10 billion more
fuck yeah!
@Robert Dickson maybe mp3 or some sort, not just here
@@pamelaerin Even 1 million listens would be 8.33 years of this song on repeat. 1 billion listens is 8,334 years.
Im the same way!!! :D TDWP!!!!!!!
Those are rookie numbers!
the chills. they're unreal.
2022 anyone still coming back to this gem?
Once inLove always inLove
2023 and it was when you posted this lol
@@lchaney Prob was drunk when I posted lol
They gotta do a SII ep now. It only makes sense
2023 my guy
2020 anyone else still blairing this song??? 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Me me
Not me. This dogshit came on automatically.
TDWP has been hot garbage for years now. They peaked with Zombie EP.
@@bamawebdev8640 lol wrong. Their newest work The Act is some of their best. The space ep is also phenomenal.
2021 bruh
2021
If you go deeper into the lyrics you can see the true meaning, planet A, addiction, one survivor without anyone, i love TDWP since i was 14
The lead singers mom was my social studies teacher in elementary and I've met him before!
Congrats, you know the face of a silky smooth voice man, the most I know are country singers -_-
+Peyton Spain idk if you're giving me attitude but if so then it's super unnecessary.
+HayleyDancer I'm not, what reason would I have? lol
+Peyton Spain that's why I said IDK
+HayleyDancer Cool story, tell me again
Their EP's are so odd. From Zombies to Space. They have some weird ideas but it's cool.
Mike Faller At least it's original, I love these type of concept albums.
+Mike Faller why weird? zombies and space are two very talked about subjects and they made those ideas their own in the form of music. i think it's incredible.
Heather Doman It's unique for them to talk about zombie apocalypse and space travel when their music is primarily Christian themes. Then again, a zombie apocalypse and the enigma of space could both be tests of faith.
I'm atheist but I think the band makes good music. I just find their writing to be really out there on some stuff. It's not a bad thing but it's definitely different!
I don't question as long as the music is good
Houston, we have a problem. The Devil Wears Spacesuits!
Ha
I'm Texan, and I approve This message.
5vz4a1x
Fuji
Elon wears spacesuits. 😆 not prada.
That's what I'm talking about Prada!
Yeah, judged them a little bit to quickly huh? I saw you commenting on all their videos about how they sold out and died. They're still very much alive. Just because they don't sound like WRAABB or plagues, doesn't mean they suck. They're just trying to be different and try different styles. Stick with them till the end, Prada will surprise you.
+tdwpvsabr caught his ass did you?
tdwpvsabr It's about time they put out something good. Shit, they pretty much died with Dead Throne and 8:18. This is their redemption album.
Dead throne was good.
Mr. Absolution He didn't catch anything, this is what I was waiting for. It's about time Prada released something good after 4 years of being shitty. Lol bring forth the hate!
There's something so mesmerizing about the outro when they're playing in that tight circle and the camera follows them around.
Holy crap Kyle is the new Chris like literally not just guitar but with vocals!!!! I love it so much!!!!!!!
suckmydragonbalz looks like Chris lol
Chris does do back up vocals. If you ever seen him live, he does.
that wasn't his vocals lol that's mikes..
+Levity Nation the backing vocals? It's a mix of Kyle and Jeremy..
+FindingTheEverlight I know, that's what I said he even does the vocals like Chris used to
"Omg Mike lost his voice"
Ha. Yeah right
My point
drumd00d People who say that... need to see them live, and see if Mike doesnt move them.
TheMotivationRSF Mike fucking killed it I saw them at one of their headlining shows on days off of mayhem with whitechapel and thy art. But seriously mike is amazing live it's not studio sounding it just has this huge energy and you can really tell how much emotion he puts into it imo Live Mike > Studio Mike
MegaSpaceAdventure thats why i love Dead & Alive so much cuz his screams are much more intense live
MegaSpaceAdventure I believe you man. They are the best band I have ever seen live, and they are sincerely a great band. Mike has passion and he really does display that through his vocals and performance. I think the people who say he lost his voice and I'm not speaking for everyone, but maybe they have not seen them live before.
It's been 4 years and this shit still bangs.
man, this band is SO creative. They are genius! U CAN'T DISLIKE THIS.
Escucharlos me alienta! Es un camino dificil, pero nos hacemos mas fuertes. Gracias por hacer esta musica! Desde Colombia
Hola de Estados Unidos! Espero tu vida es mejor de 4 años en la pasada!
The ending when they're all back to back playing the song is just.. It's so well done
don't let this song die
never, dont you worry.
neva
I love how they tell such a story with their lyrics.
I approve of headbang piano
Dogboi Jones breakdown at the end is fuckin diabolical
Piano headbanging is completely fine by me aswell
Just, yes. 🍻
TDWP has THE best music videos.
This song is UNBELIEVABLY good.
Don't think there's a band that influences me like these guys, they just get better.
Same here!
That ending where it’s going around them is so badass 🕊
Everyone needs to see Prada live because they are absolutely phenomenal.
This is fantastic, I am absolutely so pumped for this EP. Long live Prada.
This is awesome. Prada is definitely one of the greatest in all of metal.
Thank the lord (no pun intended) there is a band that is staying consistent with their sound. You guys are awesome TDWP.
Mike's face at the end never ceases to make me laugh 😂 love this band though for years and years.
Radio shack, go!
La atmosfera de esta cancion es increible!
Grande TDWP
probably has the best intro to a metal song!
Easily one of their best songs for a long while, so atmospheric and epic.
Please tell me you guys are joining UnderOath on the Self Help Festival?! Fingers crossed. Space EP 10/10
Aaron DeBoer They're actually playing on the "So What?" festival with them and Beartooth. They just announced this. So stoked.
Yes!! That's awesome!
+Aaron DeBoer Im thinking the Underoath tour announced today is gonna have tdwp and beartooth support
+Matthew Howard I got Gold VIPS for next April ø
+ScreamTeam1234 I too have vip tickets for april
This is now my favorite thing ever. Thank you so much TDWP.
This album is sick I've listened to it at least 500 times.
Almost 10 yrs later and this song is still amazing
The more I'm jamming this song the more I'm thinking its so sick
Sin duda éstos últimos trabajos son excelentes, las canciones tienen más "ambiente" transmiten muchas cosas, son geniales
Planet Ayy lmao
Ayyyyy lmao
+MintahDrums lmfaoooooo
what in the actual fuck are you saying
Gtfo Gen Z is not allowed here. Go listen to lil yachty and despacito.
ayaya gachibass
TDWP - coming on 10 years since the first publicised album, "Dear Love: A beautiful discord" and still producing amazing content! Please continue on and don't retire, you guys are a legacy!
This band, along with Atreyu, are one of the greatest metalcore bands of all time. And they just keep getting better
Spinning black cubes, portals, and womb symbolism and im not even half way thru the video..
Dude, I'm glad someone else noticed all of that too. Are you subbed to R$E? I love TDWP but this is sketch especially the Black Cube=Saturn symbolism.
zachis1egend well, I really hope not. Hopefully it's a person from a secular side influencing them, and they just don't know whats going on. I pray that The Father opens their eyes to the occult symbolism, in Jesus' name
+Jerry The Mouse Prada videos have always been weird. Havn't you guy's seen the video to Assistant to the Regional Manager? Or HTML Rulez D00d? I never believed in illuminati or any occult symbolism I think the video's producer just wanted to capture the mysterious side of space.
Mike Serrano indeed
Mike Serrano eh, maybe. Idk dude.
these guys are so talented. its amazing
Best band, nothing beat that intro
You will be missed Daniel Williams...
its really cool how they all played in a circle.
This is just a beautiful video.
0:57 That face! RADIO CHECK! GOOOO!
8 years ago and this is still a masterpiece
Hooouuuuuston!!!! We’ve! Been breached!!!! Gives me chills every time. knowing the unknown is out there
This song is telling you that you dont need to go further than you are supposed to because you will not understand something that simply will never be on your metaphysic realm
Holy fuck I love this song. I love the small stories that get told on the Zombie EP and also on the Space EP from what we've heard so far.
That first 15 seconds after the music starts is so good....plus the rest of the song too.
One of the greatest songs ever fucking done. My god.
Space metal.
Something I can play Metroid too.
yusss.
When I first heard the album, I thought every song was in relation to each other. I first interpreted it as Plant A telling the story of someone crashing on an unknown planet and being the only survivor. Then it carries off with Alien, which I thought was the survivor's encounter with a being that is trying to kill them, and they're losing hope. With Moongod, I thought this was a prayer to a god that the survivor believed in and is praying to it. And finally with Asteroid, I thought this was a farewell to family from the survivors perspective, as the alien approaches the survivor to kill them. "Say goodbye, one last time. it's closer now, it's closer now..." After reading the lyrics I realized that every song tells its own unique story, but hey, interpret it as you will. that's what music is all about.
+tails696 i like your interpretation alot. Dope story from devil wears prada
Was playing this out while in the garden. Fairly certain I could see the plants swaying back n forth to this.
not too harsh, not too soft, just perfect
OMG 2:20 JUST PROVED THAT I'VE BEEN SLEEPING ON THESE GUYS
and 2:39
What the fuck foes that mean?
I always forget that this is a Christian band. Pretty damn amazing.
That breakdown is the best ❤
this is one of the earliest metalcore bands i was a fan of, i've seen them live, and love everything they have produced. god bless this band
Directed by Stanley Kubrick.
+Omni Codex He would be so proud.. :'(
+nanomachines what happened to him?
+rodney troyskysz He was one of the absolute greatest film directors, like, ever (2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, Dr. Strangelove, A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket). He sadly passed away of a heart attack in 1999 just after finishing his final movie.
Sad story :'(
+Omni Codex Cube rick? :D
2:19 she wasn't reaaaaaadyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Nobody can tell how much I love TDWP and their songs. No one.
theyre so hard that when TDWP walks into riserecords they say drop our new shit now and rise says yes sir master sir.
“Houston!” she screamed
“Houston, we’ve been breached!”
I like to think she literally screamed like Mike Hranica into the radio
Elizabeth... Elizabeth Shaw from Prometheus? ;D
EpsilonOrpheon Mike did say in a recent interview that he really enjoyed Prometheus.
Also Alien has a few references to the movie Alien which is in the same universe as Prometheus
Also Alien has a few references to the movie Alien which is in the same universe as Prometheus
Lane Hughes Yeah that's what i was thinking!
Death4Less Yeah agreed. Now i just need them to write a Predator song and i'll be good!
One of my favorite projects from them. Shit hits.
We need more man!
This was my favorite song out of all I'm the whole album because of how they used the piano and just how well it was made
First time I listened to this I was high af. I was watching the video as the opening guitar came in and as I saw the astronaut get launched into earth I felt it at the same time.
This was such a dope EP!
I seriously just cannot get enough of this
Stopped listening to prada after they realeased dead throne because i though they were going downhill. Never even listened to 8:18 yet but i came across they song on rise's page and im happy i did. They really suprised me with this album and its overall theme. Awsome fucking ep!
Why does that cube remind me of that episode from Spongebob when Squidward is trapped in that white space when the time machine/freezer malfunctions and he's all like "Alone.. alone. alone... alone ALONE ALONE ALONE"
That shit was so fucking trippy now that you bring it up. Jesus the writers must have loved drugs
Todo lo hacen perfecto, esta rola me encanto, tdwp❤
Not much gets me as excited as listening to new music by these guys. TDWP until the day i die.
Andy will forever remain my favorite bassist.
2001: A Space EP
When will I finally see them live -.-
with the creation of "Asteroid," you have to go see them live. That song will rule
+Hansol i saw them after listening to them for 7 years, your time will come and it will be incredible
+Joel Small one of the best live experiences I've ever had. seen them 3 times and they always are fantastic!
+Douglas Szwarc I saw them once and they played escape and reptar, king of the ozone and it brought so much nostalgia man it was amazing they never disappoint
+Joel Small I saw them at warped tour last year and they played outnumbered, danger wild man, sailors prayer, and alot of the plagues album which was amazing! they are coming by my area in a week or so but I will be out of state....
This band is only getting better and better! Love this sound!
1:42 That's my fav part of the video haha. I love when Mike and Jeremy move their body like that
What happened to them saying they were gonna do a video for every song off Space?
they started recording the new album a couple of months ago earlier this year and they started writing the new album back in September, probably stopped during the Apollo X tour, continued the writing after and went straight on to recording it. sucks though I really wanted a music video for Moongod, Supernova and Asteroid
yeah supernova is amazing song btw.
To everyone who is all "But I thought they were Christian, why are they writing about zombies and space?", let me share my opinion. These two things test faith. A zombie apocalypse seems ungodly and in most movies based around that concept have at least one person asking God why it's happening. And with space, scientific discoveries of this universe are enough to make anybody without strong faith question what's real spiritually. Perhaps the band is exploring lyrically and trying to find a way to tie their faith to the biggest things that can destroy one's faith, if for nothing but to simply provide hope to those who are unsure of what to believe. I might be wrong, in which case prove I'm wrong and you can call me any name you want. But it just makes sense to me.
Dick Tator Or maybe they just wanted to write songs about some cool topics.
I agree with you Mr. Tator.
it could be they just wanted to do something cool. but they still keep God in mind and give him props. I bought the zombie ep on CD back in the day and somewhere in the booklet it says something like " all glory to God. even that of/from (something about zombies and the album)". I can't remember exactly, but that album sure was glorious:p
It’s so beautiful
Oh my. It's been a long time since a Prada song worth listening to. Thumbs up.
"You know nothing, Jon Snow"
Apparently he knows how to sing.
Thought the same EXACT thing lol
so TDWP is Christian Spacecore Metal now?
CHRISTCORE!
Jesus twin Galaxy christcore
XD
And they are doing it beautifully
easy listening
so far so good
i love the devil wears prada
Loving the keyboard on this one. Great song all around.
There are 2 possibilities;
Either we are alone in the universe,
Or we are not.
Both are equally as terrifying
true
yeah, thats a pretty good quote that you stole.
Ak! Ak! Ak! Could you point out the text that states that *I* created this quote?
+Scream Like You Mean It could you point out those quotation marks
Ak! Ak! Ak! I don't know who it was that made the original, 9/10 people will know that its already been said before
Am I the only one confused by a Christian band releasing an album about science?
Why so? God made science so it's not weird.
Phillip Simfukwe I.
Ummm.
Hmmm.
No.
+Patrick Hogan You really are confused. Christian faith and science are not contradicting what so ever. The bible doesn't talk about things that are within the framework of science to explain. Sure, it says God created earth, but there are two different creation stories in the bible, and they differ somewhat, meaning they are mostly metaphors of some kind. The whole "earth is only 6000 years old" argument is not biblical either. If you put together all the family trees in the early parts of the bible you will get a big gap, meaning you can't take much from that. It all comes down to the fact that the bible is not trying to explain things that science can explain, it is just a way for God to communicate his love and care for us. It is focused on the spiritual, not the scientific.
kanskejonasidag1 Well, they ran into life on other planets which disproves the biblical theory that humans are the only intelligent life, unique to the universe.
Not to mention, just because you say, "Sure, science and religion disagree on the creation of the earth", with a shrug doesn't make it not incredibly relevant.
+Patrick Hogan God made everything. EVERYTHING. The laws of the universe were set in place by God. Gravity works because God set it in place. Weather systems work because God set them in place. The tides go in and out because God set them in place. The sun burns because God set it in place. The Earth spins because God set it in place to do so.
YESSS! They got their unique sound back!
best lyrics, music video and song they've made so far !
2001: A Devil Wears Prada Space Odyssey
