- Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth has arrived and today we crack open our first Set booster box. Admittedly, I was not sure what to expect but after playing in a pre-release event and opening this Set box, Lord of the Rings has me coming back and wanting more!

Nice box and good topper as well!! I have to wait until Monday to crack mine. In the meantime I’ll live vicariously through everyone else haha!! IMO the flavor of the set is basically on point and there’s definitely going to be some sleepers here. Thanks for the video!
I was really happy with that topper and it feels like it was a pretty good box overall. The my definitely crushed it with the art and flavor.

Thanks for video and nice hit with the box topper! Not a LOTR fan but I appreciate the flavor and some of the art. As for value, pretty much everything is going to get crushed, except for the special sol-rings, the 1/1 ring, and the best box toppers. Not planning to buy any boxes but will happily grant positive energy to all my favorite YT content creators to pull something spicy!
They definitely did a great job capturing the flavor and the art is excellent! As far as value, while that remains to be seen I wouldn’t disagree that the amount of opening that will seemingly take place will suppress singles values for a while.
Box toppers are gonna be interesting. They break up into thirds. Nice hits, meh, and feels bad. Even though these boxes are gonna be mass opened, they are still more expensive boxes, and thus I think some of the foil toppers are gonna hold some decent value, and hitting a good one might be the deciding factor (down the line) in getting a good box or a dud.
Anyway, yapping about prices way too soon. Everyone is in an understandable hurry to crack Collector Boxes, but I love seeing the Set boxes opened early, to get an idea of how they are laid out. Thanks as always for the video! Now, that I talked about cracking Collector Boxes...on to the next video! 😏
I’m interested to see how the toppers hold up. The foil toppers should still carry a bit of a premium since you can only get them as the topper. The toppers within are either non-foil or extremely rare surge foils in collector boxes. I actually think that’s really smart by WoTC. We’ll see how it pans out…

It’s kind of overwhelming at first but is somehow still easier to keep track of than March of the Machine was originally. 😂
