I was never a fan of either. But this is easily Tom's best song. As sadly the vast majority are trash baiting sjws with fake dog whistling that he doesn't even believe himself. The songs where he isn't doing that, he also tends to not rap nearly as well as in this song.

I'm currently going down the Tom & Nova rabbit hole three years after Knox made this video, and I'm having a blast learning more about their pasts and their careers. One of the things I enjoy seeing is the progression of Tom increasingly using his acting skills from his previous time as a professional-wrestler in his music-videos, and Nova is very talented on capitalizing on them with her videography.
Honestly, after hearing Nova's song. She'd run as many laps around Mac as Tom did. She ain't easy mode; she's the second phase of the boss fight.
That face when you hear the Chris Benoit line was great. And the catchphrase for “SUCK IT” is from Degeneration X

Maybe he had a few rhymes prepared, but a LOT of this diss track was responding to the things Mac said in HIS diss track. So it couldn't have been ready and waiting to go. He also bought the beat from someone else instead of making it himself because he needed to get it out quickly. So he literally wrote the majority of the lyrics, recorded them, and got the video shot and edited within like 24 hours, lol! THAT is fucking impressive.

Only one to mention how great the trolling is on the “crazy sun of a gun” line and the Ellen reference, I love the smart ass smirk he gives the camera when he says them. Also the only one to notice the low vocal track on the Grimm reaper line. That’s in Whiteboy a lot and a few other songs too, didn’t even notice until I heard it on good headphones. I remember watching this unfold and I loved it. I didn’t see the original tweets, just Tom’s first diss right after it went up. I watched it and said “that seemed kinda soft, I think he’s baiting him.”
Sure enough Mac comes back with the weakest diss and Tom had already set him up for the haymaker. It was glorious and I’m not even a big fan of Tom’s. It was just awesome to call that setup and watch it actually unfold in real time. Flawless victory.
Tom's mastery of the visuals in his videos is what set him apart from other rappers. He's not just standing there rapping. You cant help but get pulled even deeper into the song through his facial expressions and movements

That Chris Benoit line fuckin won the whole thing
The other aspect to this that even Knox missed was the fact that Mac made a big deal of his wrapping tag name having something to do with Tom’s first name. Tom refused to acknowledge the tag name at all and keeps calling him Dave. I don’t know Dave’s last name and that level of familiarity leaves the impression that Mac is ultimately forgettable.

I got all of the Wrestling references, the Suck It + crotch chop is from legendary tag team D-Generation X which was Triple H and Shawn Michaels, I’m a huge wrestling fan. Tom Macdonald could possibly be the most dangerous CZcams rapper when it comes to beef. The Chris Benoit tragedy reference might be the hardest hitting line in any CZcams rap beef ever, shit got way too serious way too quickly.

The weird thing about this beef is that about a month or two before I started listening to Tom after being a casual watcher of Mac. So I like them both when this went off. Though I do say Tom won for sure.

For one, double entandras is not Toms big thing. It would've been the only one in the whole song.
2, he uses the voice to mimic Mac for whining online about needing help with his videos and says thats a tell that he's not smart enough to figure it out. The Dave Attell thing is reaching big time and it would've at the most be a double entondra that just ironically happened to be there, not purposfull
Ive listened to all of Toms songs. This would be one of the first real double entondras he's ever really used and I really doubt he realized that. Its still reaching regardless also

I've always known about Tom. Never really searched for his stuff, but definitely enjoyed what I heard. But after this, I have a new found love. Every line was incredible. Way better than the Man-bun Nelly dis to EM.
I just want to say thanks for explaining some of the disses that i didn't get, it gave me more appreciation and understanding of the song. For reference I'm an Aussie, so some American based colloquialisms were lost on me, cheers.
My favorite line is about his girl being on def jam, I love his relationship with Nova, Ghost was a huge insight into them, I had watched the No Good Bastards song right before Ghost and then the bloopers after Buttholes and became an even bigger fan.
