  • We all know Khalif Kairo, former CEO of Imports by Kairo. In 2022, he watched as a dispute between him and his business partners turned into an acrimonious battle of press statements that nearly bankrupted and deflated him. In this episode, featuring never-heard-before details of what was going on behind the scenes, he tells us how he survived the public humiliation and used it to propel himself into a beautiful new business.

I've picked three things from this interview:
    1. Never bang a door when you leave
    2. Prayer, prayer, prayer, prayer, prayer
    3. Never ignore red flags

This is an interview I'd reccomend to every young man (18-28). The lessons Kairo has picked along the way are quite invaluable; can never be taught in any classroom. Maybe two observations:
    1. Kindly consider dropping the background music for an interview this long
    2. Face each other during the interview (improve on setup/sitting arrangement)

A limited mindset will only cut you off from opportunities and set you up for failure. Challenge yourself beyond those self-imposed limits and purpose each day to put in extra effort in areas that matter to you. You must bring your resilience, persistence and faith, all these is seen in this young man...."GOD NOT ME" powerful & amazing phrase by khalif

I liken his story to mine..,
He will rise again and to greater heights.
Its a lesson to learn when you ambitious and less moneyed they will want to drag you and finish you.
They can Never take away what God has given you.. only delay.
But in every battle and with God. God’s will prevail..

Reminds me of when a friend and I wanted to partner and build a company together. I thought he was a great pick because I would leverage on his skills and experience in the sector. He thought I would make a great choice as the face of the company. He refused we register a business together and insisted on building on his already registered company which to me had remained on the shelf since registration. I was engaging our first two potential customers when we talked about titles and he suggested he becomes the CEO and I the Project Manager. I also could see that he was delegating tasks to me just like a manager would. It was no longer a partnership. My brothers and sisters, I took off to anywhere but there and have never looked back.
