This 300gal wild discus aquarium has been my love and pride for the past year (boy was it a hard year)!

Thoughtful addition of the Red heads in the tank as they constantly graze on the sand and keep them clean and thus maintaining the water clarify!!!
I really like them, but they just got too aggressive with the discus when they started breeding

Truly an amazing tank! I almost feel like changing my predatory fish to discus now... But just almost! ;) The light makes the colors really pop btw, looks insanely good. And a 10/10, good video with just the right amount of talking. Not like many other super hyped up youtubers now a days. Keep it going man! 💪

@@TMKAquarist haha i know... But take a look at "primitive technology" on youtube for example. He got a HUGE following, without saying even one word, and still was VERY informative. I love his style of videos... The hyped up videos usual gets a younger and "short attention span" type of audience i believe. But hey, if you're aiming to be a "real CZcamsr", it might be the way to go... ;) If your tanks keep this standard, I'll stick around!

Getting the plumbing done right was the definitely the difficult bit! The scape was very experimental and it was really tough at some parts of the process too

A big shoal of dwarf neon rainbow fish would fill out the top of this tank really well and they would do well in those parameters! Really nice job on this.

This is stunning!!!! I keep picturing redtail hemiodus zipping around everything is so tranquil and slow sometimes speed can balance it out but reguardless this is perfect....red tail hemiodus tho you should check them out?? I'm biased obviously.. LoL

I've been in the hobby my whole life pretty much. Intense planted tank nut. I've never had discuss but, angels. I know they are similar but, still a bit different. Discuss need the best I think. I honestly feel bad even seeing them in a "big" tank. I just don't think it's that big. Maybe if someone had a really really really big tank. Maybe not Amano's big tank size but, half that, quarter of it. Something like that, big big. Loaded with plants, real soil that's capped with a fine sand. Co2, incredible lighting, quality filters, etc. Just bigger though. I think fish deserve better than we give them.
Discus actually do poorly with co2 injection, just fyi
The decor, water clarity and lighting are absolutely perfect! Can you please give information about your lighting system: brand, color temperature, is it on a dimmer, is it fixed to tank or hanging etc...thank you and love your beautiful tank! :)
Thanks so much! The light I used in this video was ONF Flat One, but I’ve since upgraded to Skylight Hyperspot with an even better color spectrum and shimmer! It’s hanging 10” or so above the aquarium.
