One other thing you didn't mention with Alter-B, is there's noticeable differences between it and Alter-S. It's Blitz head is more smooth, legs are more spindly like Zwart Defeat's, Cres head has two=pronged blade instead of Alter-S's arrowhead-like blade, and even the Blitz head seeming to have a mall horn above each brow. The overall similar shape helps cement them as different sides of each other, but there's enough details that show they are not just a light and dark side of each other.
A full ToyAgumon and ToyGabumon leading to Omekamon would be neat actually, build kit based ToyAgumon line, could have ToyGabumon's line start off being plush based leading into it being more crocheted/knitted so it'd fit in with Omekamon's "arts and craft" motif
For me the biggest problem with Paladin Mode or Merciful mode is that they didn't even get a cool fight. Both of them just showed up as the Deus Ex Machina and pretty much end the fight in seconds. Looking back at the Original Omegamon, he was still fighting these Diaboromon even if he was decimating them and there was still tension with the sheer amount and the time limit but PM and MM were just and instant solution so they didn't even have the chance to make much of an impression.
Not only that but Merciful Mode could have gotten a cool fight in last evolution against all the Eosmon but instead they pretty much cut out Sora and Byomon and we got screwed out of a cool last battle for all the kids.
Personally, I'd also put Susanoomon as an Omegamon/Omnimon variant, since it's a fusion of Kaiser/Emperor Greymon and Magna Garurumon. It's pretty much a Spirit Evo Omegamon/Omnimon.
We really need a Omnimon variant that uses VictoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon, get them some love. Then instead of Merciful mode. I came up with the much cooler(in my head) Asura Mode, combining regular, Zwart, Alter-S and Alter-B into an eight armed, four headed beast of an Omnimon, wouldn't that be awesome. Lastly Digimon Savers needs some attention so how about a strange Omnimon formed from ShineGreymon and MirageGaogamon, it doesn't have to named an Omnimon variant but something close.
So.... I am ngl, cause like I KNOW Chaosmon is not an Omnimon variant but... like... I would have LOVED too see them on this video and on this list... and not just because they are my favorite digimon, next to gigaseadramon ofc... XD But yeah... I’d love to see a custom art of what you would’ve done for a Omnimon Merciful Mode with the butterfly wings OR even the Megazord type of Omnimon that could’ve been perhaps.
I’d love to see the butterfly wings themed after the crest colors. Possibly the wings changing colors and thus having powers based around whatever kid it is connected to. Like the wings change to green and the Omnimon can use Rosemon-like powers.
I hadn't heard of Omnimon Zwart until I played Cyber Sleuth, but I knew about BlackWarGreymon from 02. Then, when I saw MetalGarurumon (Blk) in the fight against the "self-proclaimed legend" hacker, I was like, "Wait. There's a BlackMetalGarurumon? Does that mean there's a black Omnimon?" and I was so happy when I finally unlocked Zwart in that game. It is definitely one of my signature Cyber Sleuth Digimon and now arguably my favorite.
I feel the exact same way about Merciful mode. It's so weird that a digimon that has all the power of the original 8 Digidestined... is just an omnimon that took church camp too seriously
Yep from a gundam color pallete to just 2 color pallete. If I didn't know any better I would just assume there younger siblings fused with omnimon (seraphimon, ophanimon) It's very underwhelming to see a 8 digimon fusion turned into white and blue.
@@K7TZ Even on it's own if it was just a mode change it went from mostly white with striking red cape orange and blue arms and gold accents to almost all white with only silver and light blue to break it up. Omegamon Zwart was at least an all new colour Omegamon didnt have much of.

Seeing this fusions here, I must ask two questions. 1. What you think of Chaosmon Line? 2. What you think of idea of having variants of "Valdur Arm"; UltimateChaosmon is Fusion of Valdurmon, Darkdramon, BanchoLeomon and Sleipmon, so I think it would be fun to see more Defense Oriented Chaosmon, with Darkdra Arm and Sleip Arm, that could be mix of Sleipmon's Shield and Crossbow, with both shoulders red.
I love Merciful Modes design and I think if they kept the design and colour scheme but switched the arms out it would work quite nicely. It would keep the "angelic" feel and there would be no worry of colour clashing like a megazord. Butterfly wings would also work, they could all merge into a digi-egg/cocoon and burst out for the evolution sequence. Also I am going to draw a (probably shitty) Omekamon Merciful mode just for you.
During one fight between Omega Shoutmon (yes I'm more used to Omega Shoutmon compared to Omni Shoutmon) and Zeke Greymon, Omega Shoutmon uses an attack called "Omega the force" and you see an aura of Omnimon/Omegamon around Omega Shoutmon.
I respect the angel aesthetic for merciful mode because it was supposed to be a merciful killing but the fabled megazord would have been so much coolerrrrr
I personally liked Merciful Mode as it gave me that OMG feeling in the moment and it’s theme as an Angel of mercy; I can interpret it as the wishes and feelings of everyone to bring Meicoomon her sweet release. Also I can think of Angemon and its variants and Supspecies would be a good idea for the next ranking
Omnimon X is the best out of all of em. There’s just something about it’s sleek and edgy look. Especially in the latest card art for Booster set 10 the regular art not the AA
I personally like Omnimon merciful mode, if it was just omnimon imbued with the holy energy of seraphimon and Ophanimon, not as the fusion of all digidestine's partners. Like Omnimon was the first royal knight we saw on screen and the idea of him ascending from a knight to an angel is a great idea at least personally. It was just a wasted opportunity for the fusion of all the adventure digimon to be that. Another thing i think it lacks is more wings, cause even with my idea i'd give him multiple sets of wings akin to seraphimon.
Whew! I made it! Okay, so hear me out, what if for the Frontier Hyper Spirit Evolutions were forged by a combination of not just the regular spirits, but also the corrupted Digidestined and purified evil ones as well? That way the combinations are more unique, or at least won't be as repetitive as switching the Spirits around for everyone.
I don't know if it is the same in all media but, I believe that Omegamon X was created with the logic that a normal Omegamon acquired the X-Antibody and not a jogress between WarGreymon X and MetalGarurumon X, and that is why he looks like he is just a variant of Omegamon without taking much design inspiration, if any, from WarGreymon X and MetalGarurumon X. I might be misremembering though.
Actually Alter B was the perfected version of Zwart D in Digimon world next order game, the antagonist, possessed by analogman souls, trying to hacked his own digimon data to create a "perfect" digimon, yet keep failing and turned into zwart D over and over at the very end part of the game he finally succeeded and turned zwart D into Alter B and a year later the digimon franchise creating blitzgreymon, cresgarurumon and Alter S, as an anniversary thing and somehow manage to shove it inside the new anime series

What i thought about is omegamon butterfly mode, who would have rainbow colored butterfly wings and all the crests floating in a circle behind him. He would be something like shoutmon x7 superior mode attaining this form through the combined power of all digidestined
I was really hoping Ragna Lordmon would be on here, I atleast consider him to be Omegamon adjacent. He's a Jogress who becomes a Knight that still displays both of the Digimon that are its materials on each of its arms (sort of).
There is something that catapults the belted Omnimon way into to S tier for me. You see, on Omnimon regular, the eyes of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon are empty; that's normal, because they're vestigial masks or gauntlet; they're not alive. But in the belted Omnimon, those masks are staring back straight into the viewer's soul! 15/10, SS+ Tier achieved! I want it in an anime, with a scene where either MetalGarurumon or WarGreymon's head suddenly turn a bloodlshot and lidless eye towards an unsuspecting protagonist!
I wish they made a snow omnimon or wargreymon and metalgarurumon. They have psychemon and snow agumon and in one of the card boxes had both cards in the same box. I have two brothers and we grew up with dawn and dusk so one would get omnimon the other would get black omnimon but snow agumon just became seadramon which was a bit disappointing
Speaking about crossovers, imagine with Yu-Gi-Oh and they ended up making an Omnimon who is half red eyes Black dragon and the other is Blue eyes white dragon. Maybe a even more subtil crossover with Saint Seiya, since theres 12 gold saints/ Knights and 12 Royal Knights, Magnamon himself is s gold Saint/ Knight and the digiegg of miracles is technicaly a gold cloth and Vmon can armor evolve to Sagitárimon (Seiyas gold cloth) and Patamon into Pegasusmon ( Seiyas original Bronze cloth). Both Saint Seiya and Digimon are Toei Animations IPs, so its no surprise.
Technically we do. Well not so much for Witchmon, but Wizardmon has like three lines. With like Mistymon, Wisemon, and Beelzemon all being official Wizardmon lines.
What if WarGreymon fused with BlitzGreymon and MetalGarurumon with CresGarurumon ? I think this fusions could by called OmegaGreymon and OmegaGarurumon.
I know they weren't mentioned here but I do like how Shoutmon X3's head looks similar to Omegamon's and on the Z Pendulum 2 the sprites even reflect this looking almost identical.
Looking at Merciful Mode, I think one problem I have with it is the wings. There aren’t enough of them and it leaves his back empty. The original’s long, flowing cape is an iconic part of the design, and we lose it with that thin pair of wings. If it had either larger wings or multiple sets of wings, it’d rank a little higher

But I do love your perspective on Digimon and agree with you whole heartedly on Tri and on Merciful Mode and Paladin mode. I thought I was the central neg in my friend group and was just being hyper critical (as I've been told I was being). But I agree wholeheartedly and I think sometimes people get a little too forgiving of se Digimon media and it's okay to be critical so we can get good content in the future .
Funny that, I actually did make Miku into an intraining digimon. But I haven't returned to that drawing project recently where I wanted to make an entire musical butterfly motif. The Mega would have been called Wadamon for obvious reasons.
Omekamon X should deviate heavily and instead of being arts and crafts, it should look like a Bionicle. Heck, the entire ToyAgumon X line should look like Bionicle.
Merciful Mode should've scrubbed the War Greymon and Metal Garurumon arms and just given it arms modeled on the legs and then had the cape show off all the crests and the glowy bits should've been a rainbow made of the colors of the crests.

Design-Wise I like Alter S the most. Then original Omegamon. However Omegamon in general feels kinda overrated now. It feels like the Charzard of Digimon for me xD

Or a video where you go though all the digimon seasons and picking your farvorit partner digimon and given them new digivolutions. I would have put omnimon merciful mode S tier because even though it looks like an upgraded version of omnimon which it is, this mode shows us that the omnimon that we knew wasn't its true power and sure the changing of the arms would be cool but the reason that didn't happen was because the other digimon were used to unlock omnimon's true power and armour and we've only seen it once so we don't know if it can use their power because it wasn't challenged by that level of an enemy yet
I will never forget the moment in the theater when I first saw Omnimon as a kid my mind was blown. I also thought you might have put chaosmon in the video given how close it is in design structure, however not an Omnimon. Maybe next rank all the DNA/Jogress? 6:39 what about an asura type of deal then? A six armed Omnimon with 3 heads representing different combination. Naming it merciful mode whilst referencing a destruction incarnate, sending a message that demise is too soft of a punishment for it's enemies.
Omekamon is actually a natural carrier of the X-antibody. theres no omekamon X for the same reason theres no alphamon X, because their default forms are already their X-antibody forms
I was thinking about the fact that Chaosmon and BloomLordmon are very heavily inspired by Omegamon to the point where they could be Omegamon variants but using different Digimon, would you consider them for the tier list or are they too different?
Chaosmon could technically be an omnimon, since omnimon is just a deux ex machina'd chaosmon with grey and garuru. Anyways, nice list, would love to see something al little bigger next time like bugs or smth (i am pretty sure that omnimon has more variants than there are bugs in a single level)

S Tier= Omegamon, Omegamon Zwart Defeat Mode, Omegamon Zwart Mode, Omegamon Alter-B, Omegamon Alter-S A Tier= Omegamon X, OmniShoutmon X B Tier= OmniShoutmon C Tier= Omegamon Merciful Mode
I would flip Alter-S and Merciful Mode, personally. Alter-S, in my opinion, is one of the absolute most absurd and poorly executed Digimon in the entire series. His design and attacks are cool and everything, but if how they affect the story is also being included, Alter-S is a clusterf*ck of problems. Merciful Mode, on the other hand, I think just looks very pretty and I like what he is supposed to represent. Or at least, what I think he's supposed to represent. If we were to go purely off design, Merciful Mode and OmniShoutmon would get easy S-Tier. Aside from that, everyone would be in A or high B.
You should make a video talking about franchise you would like to see Crossover with Digimon. One that I would personally like to see is Mega Man. Specifically the Mega Man Battle Network series since Mega Man and all the other boss characters in that series are already digital entities and programs
Bandai should us a toy version of Gabumon for each version of Toyagumon. That way we could have Omekamon Schatten for their Shadow variant and Omekamon Alter C for their clear variant.
Omnimon merciful mode to me is just a thing that happened. I don't hate it but I don't like so much either. All it is was a white recolor with wings and the grey sword is now a katana. That's it. Nothing more. Your idea of having Omnimon merciful mode to switch out it's arms with the other mega's is a great idea though
I hate Omnimon. I remember seeing them going to fuse thinking we were gonna get this dope armored amalgam of Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon. Instead we got this skinny knight that had the severed heads of the two main digimon where his hands should be.
I'd love to see them take another old franchise and do another omedamon and omecha Knight. Maybe shaman king since that recently got a reboot and is getting a sequel series. A dream one would be Pokemon but I highly doubt that would ever happen but I could totally see them use zekrom and reshiram for a black and white sequel game teasing the original dragon this way

Seeing this fusions here, I must ask two questions.
1. What you think of Chaosmon Line?
2. What you think of idea of having variants of "Valdur Arm"; UltimateChaosmon is Fusion of Valdurmon, Darkdramon, BanchoLeomon and Sleipmon, so I think it would be fun to see more Defense Oriented Chaosmon, with Darkdra Arm and Sleip Arm, that could be mix of Sleipmon's Shield and Crossbow, with both shoulders red.
I would like to have a DarkLeomon's Chaosmon
I love Merciful Modes design and I think if they kept the design and colour scheme but switched the arms out it would work quite nicely. It would keep the "angelic" feel and there would be no worry of colour clashing like a megazord. Butterfly wings would also work, they could all merge into a digi-egg/cocoon and burst out for the evolution sequence. Also I am going to draw a (probably shitty) Omekamon Merciful mode just for you.

During one fight between Omega Shoutmon (yes I'm more used to Omega Shoutmon compared to Omni Shoutmon) and Zeke Greymon, Omega Shoutmon uses an attack called "Omega the force" and you see an aura of Omnimon/Omegamon around Omega Shoutmon.
I respect the angel aesthetic for merciful mode because it was supposed to be a merciful killing but the fabled megazord would have been so much coolerrrrr

The cool part of Alter-S in the 2020 anime was the transition between basic and Alter-S where it had 2 swords and 2 cannons.

I personally liked Merciful Mode as it gave me that OMG feeling in the moment and it’s theme as an Angel of mercy; I can interpret it as the wishes and feelings of everyone to bring Meicoomon her sweet release.
Also I can think of Angemon and its variants and Supspecies would be a good idea for the next ranking
Omnimon X is the best out of all of em. There’s just something about it’s sleek and edgy look. Especially in the latest card art for Booster set 10 the regular art not the AA
I personally like Omnimon merciful mode, if it was just omnimon imbued with the holy energy of seraphimon and Ophanimon, not as the fusion of all digidestine's partners. Like Omnimon was the first royal knight we saw on screen and the idea of him ascending from a knight to an angel is a great idea at least personally. It was just a wasted opportunity for the fusion of all the adventure digimon to be that. Another thing i think it lacks is more wings, cause even with my idea i'd give him multiple sets of wings akin to seraphimon.
Whew! I made it! Okay, so hear me out, what if for the Frontier Hyper Spirit Evolutions were forged by a combination of not just the regular spirits, but also the corrupted Digidestined and purified evil ones as well? That way the combinations are more unique, or at least won't be as repetitive as switching the Spirits around for everyone.

I don't know if it is the same in all media but, I believe that Omegamon X was created with the logic that a normal Omegamon acquired the X-Antibody and not a jogress between WarGreymon X and MetalGarurumon X, and that is why he looks like he is just a variant of Omegamon without taking much design inspiration, if any, from WarGreymon X and MetalGarurumon X. I might be misremembering though.

Actually Alter B was the perfected version of Zwart D
in Digimon world next order game, the antagonist, possessed by analogman souls, trying to hacked his own digimon data to create a "perfect" digimon, yet keep failing and turned into zwart D over and over
at the very end part of the game he finally succeeded and turned zwart D into Alter B
and a year later the digimon franchise creating blitzgreymon, cresgarurumon and Alter S, as an anniversary thing and somehow manage to shove it inside the new anime series
So, it is more like Alter-S is a redeemed version?

What i thought about is omegamon butterfly mode, who would have rainbow colored butterfly wings and all the crests floating in a circle behind him. He would be something like shoutmon x7 superior mode attaining this form through the combined power of all digidestined
I was really hoping Ragna Lordmon would be on here, I atleast consider him to be Omegamon adjacent. He's a Jogress who becomes a Knight that still displays both of the Digimon that are its materials on each of its arms (sort of).
Yeah, I'm gonna say it, Onmimon Merciful Mode is pretty high on mine because you took my favorite Digimon and blended it with my favorite Gundam.
My favourite is Omedamon I loved Medabots growing up and this just has an awsome desgin and just looks badass
There is something that catapults the belted Omnimon way into to S tier for me.
You see, on Omnimon regular, the eyes of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon are empty; that's normal, because they're vestigial masks or gauntlet; they're not alive.
But in the belted Omnimon, those masks are staring back straight into the viewer's soul! 15/10, SS+ Tier achieved!
I want it in an anime, with a scene where either MetalGarurumon or WarGreymon's head suddenly turn a bloodlshot and lidless eye towards an unsuspecting protagonist!

I wish they made a snow omnimon or wargreymon and metalgarurumon. They have psychemon and snow agumon and in one of the card boxes had both cards in the same box. I have two brothers and we grew up with dawn and dusk so one would get omnimon the other would get black omnimon but snow agumon just became seadramon which was a bit disappointing
Speaking about crossovers, imagine with Yu-Gi-Oh and they ended up making an Omnimon who is half red eyes Black dragon and the other is Blue eyes white dragon. Maybe a even more subtil crossover with Saint Seiya, since theres 12 gold saints/ Knights and 12 Royal Knights, Magnamon himself is s gold Saint/ Knight and the digiegg of miracles is technicaly a gold cloth and Vmon can armor evolve to Sagitárimon (Seiyas gold cloth) and Patamon into Pegasusmon ( Seiyas original Bronze cloth). Both Saint Seiya and Digimon are Toei Animations IPs, so its no surprise.
As a Yu-Gi-Oh fan, I am tired of the Duel Monsters era.
I hope they bring more of the Wizardmon line over. We could finally have a official digivoluton line for all the Wizard and Witchmon.
Technically we do. Well not so much for Witchmon, but Wizardmon has like three lines. With like Mistymon, Wisemon, and Beelzemon all being official Wizardmon lines.

I know they weren't mentioned here but I do like how Shoutmon X3's head looks similar to Omegamon's and on the Z Pendulum 2 the sprites even reflect this looking almost identical.
Looking at Merciful Mode, I think one problem I have with it is the wings. There aren’t enough of them and it leaves his back empty. The original’s long, flowing cape is an iconic part of the design, and we lose it with that thin pair of wings. If it had either larger wings or multiple sets of wings, it’d rank a little higher

I thought I was the central neg in my friend group and was just being hyper critical (as I've been told I was being). I heard one comment here suggests connecting Omekamon and Omedamon, the Medabots jogress.
Merciful Mode should've scrubbed the War Greymon and Metal Garurumon arms and just given it arms modeled on the legs and then had the cape show off all the crests and the glowy bits should've been a rainbow made of the colors of the crests.

The fact we don't have a ZeedGarurumon and VictoryGreymon version of Omegamon is a huge missed opportunity imo.

I would have put omnimon merciful mode S tier because even though it looks like an upgraded version of omnimon which it is, this mode shows us that the omnimon that we knew wasn't its true power and sure the changing of the arms would be cool but the reason that didn't happen was because the other digimon were used to unlock omnimon's true power and armour and we've only seen it once so we don't know if it can use their power because it wasn't challenged by that level of an enemy yet

Omekamon is actually a natural carrier of the X-antibody. theres no omekamon X for the same reason theres no alphamon X, because their default forms are already their X-antibody forms

I would flip Alter-S and Merciful Mode, personally.
Alter-S, in my opinion, is one of the absolute most absurd and poorly executed Digimon in the entire series. His design and attacks are cool and everything, but if how they affect the story is also being included, Alter-S is a clusterf*ck of problems.
Merciful Mode, on the other hand, I think just looks very pretty and I like what he is supposed to represent. Or at least, what I think he's supposed to represent.
If we were to go purely off design, Merciful Mode and OmniShoutmon would get easy S-Tier. Aside from that, everyone would be in A or high B.
You should make a video talking about franchise you would like to see Crossover with Digimon. One that I would personally like to see is Mega Man. Specifically the Mega Man Battle Network series since Mega Man and all the other boss characters in that series are already digital entities and programs
Bandai should us a toy version of Gabumon for each version of Toyagumon. That way we could have Omekamon Schatten for their Shadow variant and Omekamon Alter C for their clear variant.
Omnimon, so many forms. Its simplicity is its strength.

Omnimon merciful mode to me is just a thing that happened. I don't hate it but I don't like so much either. All it is was a white recolor with wings and the grey sword is now a katana. That's it. Nothing more. Your idea of having Omnimon merciful mode to switch out it's arms with the other mega's is a great idea though

I hate Omnimon. I remember seeing them going to fuse thinking we were gonna get this dope armored amalgam of Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon. Instead we got this skinny knight that had the severed heads of the two main digimon where his hands should be.

I'd love to see them take another old franchise and do another omedamon and omecha Knight. Maybe shaman king since that recently got a reboot and is getting a sequel series. A dream one would be Pokemon but I highly doubt that would ever happen but I could totally see them use zekrom and reshiram for a black and white sequel game teasing the original dragon this way
