Okay after changing the playback speed to 1.25, I'm convinced that it was the original speed and was only reduced to extend the length to 12 minutes. 😂
peatear42 Actually though! Great tip 😂👌
Great tip! He is probably using a teleprompter, depending on the type, they only have one speed you choose for it throughout. Thus, slower is better
LMDAHAHA FR
You are full Power
I just installed it last night 3x in a big house, it kills my last router, and having duel ethernet on each device makes me love it. Happy to know itll be good for at least the next six months. Thanks.
Great review I love the fact you take the time to review it after you had real time to use
This review was really good. I was on the fence about getting one since my wife and I lived in a 1,000 sq ft house. Having just moved and doubled the space we're seeing spots where the connection just isn't strong and this came to mind again. After watching it, hearing about the features, and how easy the app makes everything I'm sold!
I actually watched this review after already buying the 3 pack and I couldn't agree more! Our main issue was getting a good wifi signal into our garage which is seperate from our house and since these routers are wirelessly integrated into the mesh system they completely solved our problem! Not to meantion the signal is so much stronger than any router we have ever used!
I replaced a six year old Netgear router with the Google WiFi system last weekend. The ease in setup was great and my speed has doubled. I"m actually getting the speed I pay for now. I love the app and how easy it is to manage the network and see what's going on. I'm very happy with this system. I have a 2,000 SF house but went ahead with the three pack.
"my speed has doubled" ? seriously ? do you know how wifi routers work ?
I've had 4 in my house for about a year now. I absolutely love the setup. It's been flawless for me. I love the setup, controls, and stability. I've been recommending them to all my friends. I was re-booting my old setup on a weekly basis. I haven't touched this setup but once in a year when I needed to move some things around. I also love that I can turn off all the kid's stuff when it's bedtime, at the touch of a button on the app.
Purchased these a few weeks ago. You nailed all the highlights. They are simply great!!
Excellent review. I installed the google router at my house. I purchased the 4 pack from Costco. Works great. I now have wifi in my backyard!
I've had mine (3 units) for a couple of months now. I haven't had any issues. I would do it all over again in a heart beat.
Same here... it's the best thing I've ever bought for myself.. years of patchy wifi and agony... now happiness and joy :)
I echo your statements, I'd do it in a heart beat. I had a net gear night hawk, and this runs my network much better with 25 plus devices over the 3 unit system.
i have a number of wired devices on my network and a few switches. how difficult is it to get a larger wired network connected to the google wifi devices? i've been thinking about this for a while, but the wired network i have makes me very hesitant.
Mike Carpenter : I have a unit plugged into my router by the garage. I have another unit in the living room with an Ethernet line running out from it to a hub. From the hub I have my Apple TV and various other things. All of it works great.
Fuck you Joe Biden brother
Have the Google WiFi 3 pack, I keep one upstairs in my man cave as my main router, and then have 2 downstairs, one in the kitchen and another in the den. I absolutely love it! Has increased my overall speed and reliability of my wifi network. I'm an IT Technician and install wireless solutions for businesses daily, this is the best WiFi solution I have seen for home use ever! I also have a smart home with multiple smart devices around the house (Google Home of course) and all my smart stuff works fluidly with them. Absolutely pro choice for a home wireless network. A real no brainer.
I know right? Everything just integrates with it super well from Philips hue light bulbs to Google Home to the Nest and stuff it's freaking amazing and super strong wifi strength and speed. Easily the best wifi router ever.
Hey Andrew! I know it has been a few months since you posted this, but I'm looking into getting the google wifi 3 pack for our home as well. We have 100mbps internet, but we're having problems when certain devices are used. I've noticed the 2 devices that seem to cause a lag in the Xbox One are the two that are farthest from our current router. I've tested the speed on one of them and it is around 7mbps download speed. That's terrible! Do you think the google wifi system would solve our problem?
I'm happy to Know this
Precisely the same setup here. Works like a dream!
@@NilsKullberg ive had mine for a few weeks now absolutely love it no more drop outs 👍🏼
Love Love Love! My house was a dead zone for 16 years because it’s an 3 story old house. I purchased 3 but it’s amazing.
Purchased my 3 pack 6 months ago
This was an awesome review. You managed to answer all my questions super clearly and quickly. Gonna get this for my girlfriend's place tomorrow :)
Thanks for the detailed review of the product. I’ll definitely consider buying it for my parents. They have a lot more square feet than I do, and their WiFi sucks. I have a single On Hub device from ASUS that is still working for me and is compatible with the Google WiFi app. It’s great and I’d like to spread the joy on these end of year holidays.
You’re welcome, glad you enjoyed it. Be on the lookout for holiday deals with the Google WiFi. Got mine last year on a Black Friday deal.
Best review I have seen on Google wi fi. I was going between Velops and Google, after this I am buying Google. Thanks for the great review!
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed it.
A great review! Great suggestions at the end if you need 1 or 3-pack. Answered all of my questions in 1 video!
Great review, thanks. I decided to go step by step, starting with one router and then adding a second one (waiting to receive it), by wire (I installed a small ethernet network at home). Crossed finger (I do not want to buy another one ....).
Thanks Josh, that was an excellent review. Just ordered my 3-pack.
How is it? Thinking of getting one
Man this is a great review. You are so camera friendly and your voice is perfect. The way you explained this product is really understandable for the novice user. And the way u took care of your folks on this says a lot about you. Thank u for this great review and keep up the great work!
Perfect review thanks. I got one 3 pack yesterday and was very pleased with everything. The app made it so easy to set up, and what you can do with its features are pretty incredible.
Good review. I live in a rural area where actual Hi-Speed internet is a rarity so when Spectrum came into my neighborhood I jumped on it. We live in a large maze-like home that makes even 200mbps difficult to reach. After installing a 3 pack of the Google Home WIFI system I am able to reach every room in the house. Not every room receives top speed but It's adequate enough to stream 4K video as well as sending a decent signal out to our pool area. Your review is spot on. The ease of set up is incredible. I highly recommend this mesh system.
Thanks for the comment! I’m glad you enjoyed the review and are liking the Google WiFi.
Mike Hesterley so good latency when gaming
Great review and I agree 💯. LOVE my Google WiFi. Best wifi AP I've ever owned and I've installed for family as well. Hands down the best.
does google home router cut internet speed in half like every other router?
Not in half. At least not in my experience. You do see less speed than a wired connection. For me it’s probably a 15-20% reduction at worst.
That's not a lot. My current wifi extender cuts it in half. Definitely going to buy Google wifi. Thanks
6 Months Later Reviews Wait can you connect ethernet to it?
Yes, to any of the points
Nice review. I installed a three router system last night, and honestly, it took me longer to get the thing out of the package and to come up with a network name and password than it did to set it up. Loving it so far, and wish I would have done it a year ago when I first started looking into it.
I've been trying to convince my parents to replace the router (we still have the ISP router) and I couldn't as they were happy with it so I showed them this video and you managed to convince them thank you so much!
I have run the 3-pack for 3 months. I replaced a couple of Aruba AP's, which are awesome, but so complicated. For home, the Google WiFi is the best. Speed is identical to wired devices in home. Best tech product I have seen in a long time.
Great review! I also had the AirPort Extreme. Two of them in fact. I replaced them with the Google WiFi system when it first came out. I have a 3,000 sq ft house with two floors and a full, unfinished basement. I did find that I needed MORE than the three pack. I had full coverage, but some areas were much weaker. So I have SIX of them in my house on one big mesh network. I tried adding a 7th, but the system can't quite handle that many and I had major problems. I think six is probably the max you can add on one network. But I have great coverage now with the six and absolutely love the features and ease of use. Thanks for another great vid!
Thanks and glad the system worked out for you!
Isn’t each one supposed to cover 1500sq? So why did you need 6 for 3000sq? Overkill?
I have a 6000 sq ft home and only 3 worked well for me. I have no dead zones. I have one in the middle of the first floor and two on either side of the house on tables in the second floor hallway. You either have a defective unit or there is something in or near your home producing significant interference in your airwaves. Make certain that all WiFi devices are at least 6 feet away from other electronics like TVs, sound systems, cellular boosters, etc. Then find a competent IT professional who has experience creating what is called a “Heat Map” of the WiFi frequency spectrum in your house. You will be able to solve this without significant additional investment in WiFi gear (unless you live in close proximity to dozens of other WiFi networks, airport radar towers, etc. ). I hope this helps.
Bob Bridges When I set mine up I put the other two wifi points a little too far away and only got about 40Mbps on my devices at the far end of a similar sized house. I moved both of them closer to the main unit and now get 65Mbps on all my devices. Did you use the wifi app to test whether the wifi points were in good enough spots? It will tell you to move them closer to the main wifi router if they aren't getting the ideal reception. I did this until my two other wifi points had an excellent signal, indicated by a full green bar on the google wifi app. I was surprised but they work much better and still reach the far end of the house even though they are closer to the main unit than they are to my device. They do have excellent range. This is in a new ranch style house with full basement and lots of thick walls.
Bob Bridges straight flexin lol
Josh is on his game. Very clear, informative and thorough. I inquired because I was considering one, now I'm convinced.
Great review. Just purchased the Google wifi mesh routers last week. Easy to setup and wifi performance is excellent. Very happy with it so far.
Does it give you the speeds you Pay for??
Thank you for the very complete review, it helped me to decide what wifi to get.
I've had my three-unit Google Wifi system for about six weeks. Best Internet tech purchase I've made. Simple to set up and maintain. Gibraltar-like connections at speeds faster than advertised from my ISP. Worth. Every. Penny.
I've had my Google Wifi three pack router system for over 7 months now and I must say I was skeptical at first for the money I was spending but I was pleasantly surprised with the how easy it was to setup and the intuitive app interface. I am very happy that I no longer hear and complaints from my wife and children about the performance of the internet service in my 1600 sq ft. home. I'd highly recommend this wifi mesh network solution to anyone who has had wifi connectivity issues. Btw, my home is a split level house built back in 1959 if that gives you any clue as to the construction materials and the challenges with regard to wifi signal losses.
And as far as your review is concerned, I found it very helpful and I plan on sharing it with my friends and family who have been on the fence about whether or not to buy this type of wifi network solution. Thank you very much. Please keep us in the know. Your videos are outstanding.
Great review! I picked one up today and this information really helped me to make a decision.
Hi Josh, you forgot to mention the excellent wired capabilities of this router system. The LAN side benefits from the parental controls as well, so you can control access to wired PCs as well as Wifi devices. The LAN can connect to a switch, leading to a number of additional wired devices on your network. I've had mine for 6 months now as well, and I have to agree with you. I have a 2,000 sq-ft home, and currently using the 3-pack. Considering going to a 4th AP if the individual ones ever go on sale. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for pointing that out. I have to admit, I’m a total novice with LAN benefits, so I appreciate you pointing that out. Glad you found the review helpful!
David C - Pick the 4 pack at Costco for $279 / $20 off of $299 even that’s a bargain as the 4th one is practically free...
This is a really good review! I want to buy one now
Solid review. Looking to update my wifi network and had Google WiFi on the list so very helpful.
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful.
I bought it a few months ago. Love it and it is absolutely worth the investment. I've only had one issue with the X-box: Double NAT code: which means 2 wifi networks running at same time. I noticed that my modem was running a guest wifi network with the same name in the background. I shut it down and that solved the problem. Great review.
Recently bought 2 and all I can say is simply amazing. Especially with the (hard wire) mesh connection. My speed increased drastically.
Great review. I have had the 3 pack since end of November/beginning of December and absolutely love it. No resetting router, perfect wifi all the time.
Thanks and I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
Very good video -just ordered 3 pack and waiting for delivery ... Thanks!!
very good review I just got 1 about 2 weeks ago same result love it and very easy to use too thanks again.
My wife bought the 3 pack as a gift for me last Christmas and my wi-fi is great throughout the whole house and no issues. Easy to set up too.
I've had an Apple TimeCapsule for 11 years and it finally packed it in... after a power outage. Looks like this will replace my old Apple TC and AirPort gear, thanks!
I have thick adobe brick walls between all of my rooms, and I live in the middle of nowhere, so I also do not have the fastest Wifi. Only two rooms in my house were getting Wifi, my office where the router is, and my bedroom at the other end of the house where I have another Wifi extensor that cost over $600. I really wanted to set up a wifi home security system. The salesperson at BestBuy told me to try the Google Mesh since he's heard that it works through adobe walls. It was easy to set up, and it worked! Now my whole house gets internet, and I have wireless security cameras. It only took Ten years to have someone recommend a product that would work. It also looks nice it the house. I watched this guy's first video for how to set it up so I wouldn't waste days doing it wrong. Thanks for the Help.
You’re welcome!! Glad you were able to get it working and are enjoying it!
Very informative. Thank you!
Another great review. Good work.
Thanks!
really great vid/review! thanks so much! I'm looking at this mesh vs Xfi pods.. I just can't find out what the area-coverage approximation each pod offers vs Google mesh or if there's any difference. ...but such a great review 6ML ! Would love to buy you a brew! :)
just got mines today! 3x. easy to install and so far, every single floor is steady.
Very much to the point. Keep it up!
G'day mate great review, love the start to your channel reminds me of a 80's arcade game. Australia loves you bud. 👍
Thanks! Love Australia back ❤️. Was in Sydney and Canberra a year ago and loved it!!
We Aussies invented wifi but we have the worst of it
Geagg427 You can blame our government and greedy internet providers who charge higher rates for internet speed. Hopefully the future of internet in Australia will eventually keep up with the rest the world. Cheers mate
I recently replaced my badly behaved wifi with a two node Google wifi mesh - absolutely brilliant. Now have full coverage, automatic band steering, single SSID (hooray!) for both bands and great performance. Truly a great product. Next thing for me is to try and get the backhaul connection running over ethernet
Yes but Google now see everything what you do haha good luck with your mesch router.
I like the review style. 6 months is a good enough time to review a product. I need to get a google wifi router.
This review was unbelievably relevant for me. I'm looking for a replacement for my Airport Extreme so thanks for that.
My experience with this product supports every claim in this review. Our house has a lot of rooms over two stories and the 3 unit set has me covered. It’s really, really easy to set up. No hiccups, no cursing, no buyer’s remorse= happy camper.
This review is a good summary and matches my experience so far.
I gave up on the two-node NetGear RBK-50 (which worked well for about 12 hours before the hub node unceremoniously failed) and purchased a Google WiFi three-pack while it was on sale. My objective was to get good coverage up in the 800 square foot attic/guest area and also in the back yard. There is a large brick chimney in the middle of my house which seems to complicate the positioning but I've found a configuration which gives me reliable strong coverage in all locations. The levels fluctuate a bit but the attic node never falls below "OK" (100Mbps compared to the 220Mbps I get to the other satellite). Both of these speeds are considerably faster than my anemic 25Mbps Internet service and still plenty fast enough to stream HD video from my NAS. When Canada joins the civilized world and I can get affordable gigabit service, I will consider adding a fourth node.
For reference, my semi-split house has two 800 square foot halves, each with three levels (if you include the basement, garage, and workshop). So, it's a 3200 square foot house with another 1600 below grade sitting on a 75'x100' lot. The WiFi signal is usable out to the street and to the corners of the backyard.
PRO: It has a very nice interface and although somewhat pared down still makes it easy to configure static DHCP entries and to manage port forwarding (e.g. to my QNAP NAS). I just wish I could run it on my desktop.
CON: I'm not happy sharing this much information with Google and would prefer that the management app not work outside my LAN. Sure, it's handy but it is also unnecessary and more than a little bit creepy. (To be fair, the Google WiFi Privacy Policy explicitly states: "Importantly, the Google Wifi app and your Wifi points do not track the websites you visit or collect the content of any traffic on your network.") If my daughters were younger, this nanny functionality would be useful but I would prefer to be able to disable this access now. On the other hand, I am seriously considering getting a single node for my mother for whom I provide remote IT support.
Finally - I *really* wish these things had a wall-mount. I would be a lot happier if I could mount these up high and out of sightlines. I'd be perfectly happy running cables through the wall to do this. The USB-C power cable provided is nice and long but perhaps not quite as long as necessary for this purpose.
There are many options on Amazon to achieve this.... About 18 for 3 mounts.

Keith Hanlan google wifi or netgear rbk what recomend me
Velcro my friend. Velcro for everything
I love my Google router. I did have to reboot once after a power outage, but in the 8 months I've had it, that was the only issue. I had a Belkin before and did not have the same speed and had to reboot at least once every 2 months. Great product.
Wow, excellent review Josh. Thanks a ton. This helped me confirm my decision on feeling comfortable buying the Google mesh system.
Why does every CZcamsr address Their audience with "What's happening CZcams?" You never hear an announcer on NBC say, "What's going on NBC? "
True, but maybe they should! lol
That’s why CZcams are doing so much better than NBC.
Because yt is looked at as a community of people however NBC is just there to report and there is little personalisation in what a viewer can watch on nbc. But on yt it's easier for people to form communities of people with similar interests via the videos and channels you watch. You can't do that on nbc or other channels because you can't interact with other viewers with comments like you can here. Therefore it's not strange to refer to people watching as "CZcams" because that is an identity you've fallen into by being on this platform but NBC is more of a one way thing.
Because youtube is 2 way community. Nbc is a tv station that you can't interact with. If you want to interact with nbs then you go to their site and comment on stories
::rolls eyes:: Why do you need to know??
Super Helpful, I think I am ready to ditch my Apple Wireless router!
Great review dude.
Replaced my 3 1/2 yr. old Airport Extreme with a Google WiFi 3-pack. I have NEVER been happier with a consumer electronics purchase. Set-up was dead simple and the performance has been outstanding. I should have done this much sooner, it's just been fantastic.
Excellent review, definitely gonna get a 3 pack now!
do it baby..it's the best one on earth
COSTCO has a 4 pack...! just bought today...
03/30/19 -- Costco has 'member deal' online @ $299 for a FOUR pack. Also. . . this is a very nice video. Thanks!
Great review, thank you for sharing. This may have already been asked and answered curious what modem are you using with the Google WI-FI. Thanks...
Great question, this is the modem I bought and have been using with my Google WiFi: NETGEAR CM500-1AZNAS (16x4) DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem, Max download speeds of 686Mbps, Certified for Xfinity from Comcast, Spectrum, Cox, Cablevision & more www.amazon.com/dp/B06XH46MWW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Y9fLAb8EDQG6S
great review as always. U beautifully cover all the points. good job
Just bought google WiFi mesh system and excited to set it up!
Great for all my homes..
Ikr
This is a very informative review!! I loved it! (:
I just picked up 2 wifi points and love them so far. My wife can manage the wireless in our house, and doesn't need an IT degree to understand how to setup or modify the configuration. Also I don't need to make it an afternoon project to setup an AP. Just plug in the power, scan the QR code, boom, wireless network extended.
Great video! I was going to buy faster internet for more money/month but bought a google router instead and it totally made my speeds so much quicker. What a difference
It’s on sale for $99 now 👍🏽
if i buy this do i still need to get wifi from a cable company or does this have its own internet connection??? please let me know
Juico Krazy i have the exact same question
lol That's like asking if I buy an electrical device like a TV or a portable electric heater and asking if I need PG&E electricity service! Asking "....does this have its own internet connection" is like asking if my TV has its own electricity and the answer is no!
Josh - agree with your all comments about reliability and ease of use. Totally better than ever before. LOL - certainly better than the 20th century solution an "expert" offered -- to install a device on the roof and run wires all through the house!!!!! All the best - Lynn PS I subscribed and hope to learn more from you as time goes on.
I've had this mean system for last year! I'm an apartment dweller and this system is awesome and has eliminated most interference with other WiFi systems in close proximity. Highly recommend!
Bad experience here with Google WiFi. It worked perfectly fine within my apartment but as soon as I went to my neighbor on the other side of the wall, WiFi performance fell to less than five percent of its original speed. My side of the wall, 300 megabits - the other side of a relatively thin wall, 20 maybe 30 megabits. This was after several reboots and reconfigurations. I did not buy more than one and that may be the reason for poor performance on the other side of the wall but for 30$ more I went with a Linksys 3-antenna router which not only works almost through the entire other apartment at close to rated speed, but also downstairs in our carpark (!) Perhaps I misunderstand what a mesh router is used for in an apartment setting but it was a dismal step down for me. Good thorough review though, and kudos to you for also helping your parents out with blanket WiFi for their house ..
Yeah, signal strength could be amplified a bit more with the WiFi points for sure. I have issues sometimes getting enough signal across the street to my garage. Glad you found a router that works for your needs. Thanks for watching!
So glad I bought Google wifi after watching this review
U gotta pay monthly or what?
Great Review,, Thanks for taking time to review after using it for 6 months. You helped me make up my mind as to which to buy.
This review is spot on and told me some things about Google Wifi that I did not know, and which probably explain why I am enjoying its performance so much over my router built in wifi and a couple of apple wifi points. Solved all the issues I was having with my sonos system as well (my sonos was clearly struggling with the old wifi set up). Great product, great app.
So can I just buy like 6 and put them all in 1 room and become a WiFi god?
xdcunt Yes, exactly.
Demetrius Prince sweet
Supposedly there's no cap on how many you can add? Is this true?
I have 3 pucks. I love the strength of the signal all over the house. However, Google WiFi only see's a quarter of my actual speed. Google WiFi care unfortunately can not fix the issue. They blame my ISP. Supposedly my ISP does/uses V-LAN tagging. My ISP has confirmed several times they do not have V-LAN tagging. The first support tech didn't even know what V-LAN tagging is that is. Google tells me in an email that because my IP address does not end with a 1 or a 54 this tell's them it is V-LAN tagging. If this is the case, billions of IP addresses are V-LAN tagging 🤔. Anyways I like the product but hate the terrible WiFi care support. I was told I should have asked if Google WiFi supports V-LAN tagging before purchasing. Maybe it's just me, but I can't ask about something I do not know exists. My issue started overnight on March 25 of this year. I think it is a problem (that many other people have and solve by changing router brands with mesh capabilities) that Google does not know how to fix and throw the ball in someone else's yard. Would not buy again now that I know it does not support V-LAN tagging even though my ISP does not use this technology...
You are articulate. Your presentation is clear, organized, and answers the questions an intelligent new user would ask. Nicely done!
Thank you Josh, great review and I appreciate it!
OMG FINALLY I CAN THREW OUT PEOPLE I DONT LIKE IN MY HOUSE OUT OF MY WIFI !
Can you send/receive top secret state dept emails safely on this system. Asking for a friend
I have the 3 pack of this and I'm very happy. I've used many types of routers and repeaters and they just don't cut it in a 100 ft long house divided by an exterior wall. These not only cover my house but my RV parked 75 ft away. My house sits on a 5 acre lot and there is nowhere I can't get a usable signal on the property.
Excellent video 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I live in a concrete building. This type of wireless range extender doesn’t work in my home. I was using this type of connection but now changed to powerlink connection. I’m using TP Link powerline adapter. Simply just plug the AP everywhere and I have WiFi without wireless relay from main WiFi. Now I’m only using 3 wireless AP instead of 6 with this mess wireless network.
Could you elaborate on the TP link, i.e. model you have, connecting to modem, etc.
Thanks buddy :)
Ditto, but Ytong, with metal mesh in the ceiling between floors. I use NINE Google WiFi pods and signal still is abysmal all over the place.
You only had 1? Not much mesh ;). Great for the parents though
Got the second one very soon after 😊
6 Months Later Cool. Just ordered a 3pack. Great stuff. Thanks for the review
You’re welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!
Another great review. Thanks for posting. Personally, I have a mesh network setup using 3 of the Google/Asus OnHub routers since they use the same, Google, wi-fi app. Before this setup, I used to use the latest and greatest Asus routers and while they offer far more options to tweak your network, the performance, reliability, and the simplicity of the management/setup side of things with Google's option is light-years ahead of anything I ever got with Asus's direct offerings. Note, to manage the backhauling, I have the routers wired to a unmanaged Cisco switch and use the signal amplifier my ISP installed there a few years ago. Within my 2200sq. ft home I average anywhere from 450-950 Mbs network speeds. Again, I never, ever got that with the Asus routers and again, on the reliability front, it's no contest. I'm going to guess that the Google WiFi system would do equally well. Keep up the good work!
6 years later and my Google WiFi setup is still going strong. I was grateful for it during the pandemic lockdowns as everything 'just worked'
It takes care of everything
Did it sound scary only for me?
"The get full bars of WiFi."
Umm... wut?
Thanks Josh! Very helpful - Ive subscribed :)
We just upgraded to 1gig fiber service and dropped cable service. We decided to get a roku in each room and use hulu+live tv and so far am very happy with the decision. Only problem is that when we built the house we weren't really thinking about "what if" scenarios with regard to our future internet/tv choices and just let the builder do whatever they do (which is the bare minimum). So we had the fiber drop coming into the basement but we didn't have the house wired up beyond that (kicking myself on that one still). So we get great speed in the basement level, which is great because that's where the bar, home theater, and game room is, but everywhere else the connection is anywhere from spotty to non-existent. I researched the various options there are when it comes to a wifi mesh system and google wifi seems to be the best option overall...hopefully that proves to be true!
Sounds more like a paid commercial than a review.
Yes, it sounds like a commercial, not a review. He should have listed the negatives.
I've had two units in my apartment for a month now. They're absolutely brilliant! Not cheap though. But now I get the 120/120 MBs I pay for. Everywhere in the apartment.
@@Roger-cu3ep I've had the mesh system for a couple months now. As far as I'm concerned, there really are no negatives.
Which is why I didn’t have anything negative to say about it. It’s a really great product, one of my favorite things I’ve bought over the past few years. Glad you’re enjoying yours as well!
@Mitchell McGillicuddy it is absolutely perfect for home use unless you are an advanced user and need such features as MAC filtering, content filtering, or Dynamic DNS (DDNS) which are not supported.
Excellent video, very informative but easy to understand. 👍🏽
Great review Josh, very helpful thank you.
This is so helpful! I originally liked this router because it’s small, sleek, and white. Silly, I know. I’m not a tech person, and I’m glad to know that this works like those spider-looking ones and is even easier to use!
That’s not silly at all. Google knows that atheistics matter, which is why they designed it to look good in your home.
Your presentation was flawless and quite informative.
We just got it and omg! Where has this been all my life!!!!!
Awesome , clarified the confusion.
I have 12 Google Wifi routers for my house, to cover 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. The 3 pack was perfect for the house (small, single story, open floor plan). The problem was getting a signal to the patio in the back, a large series of decks that go around the perimeter of the backyard, the garage, and driveway. So in addition to the 3 in the house I added 3 to cover the front yard, driveway, and garage, and 6 more to cover the backyard, patio, and decks.
