Already this game play gives me anxiety. I complain that I need mods to make it more realistic but as a real life parent just nope 😂
Yessss. I had that kind of day with my 5 month old today. Just a guessing game all day 😭 had 2 meltdowns of my own even 😂😭
I was a big sis in a single parent household, as soon as she was happy the toddler was sleeping all day I was like ‘no, no, wake him up!’ You want the kid sleepy when you are ready for bed!
My Sims recently had twins and I fight the urge to give them up everyday

I thought my husband had changed our baby's diaper and fed her because he was playing peek-a-boo. He changed her diaper. And then didn't feed her. The baby was taken away for neglect because my husband played peek-a-boo instead of feeding her. I divorced him.

The biggest annoyance when playing like this, especially with the infants; is one adult sim will continuously put an infant in the crib and take it back out again over and over, and it won't stop. I even turned off full autonomy for sims and they keep doing it. They'll even cancel any command or action to keep an infant in and out of a crib. It drives me crazy. I've had to delete cribs to get the sim out of the room, lock the door, and let another sim take over once I put back the crib
I hate that too. So annoying.
If you use mods, there's a mod called "smarter baby care" by scumbumbo, it doesn't change much just fixes the the sims automatic actions/care etc
Sometimes I wonder how yalls games are so broken.
I see this sometimes from other ppl about just other sims things in general and I guess I have had the best play with it since I dont run into any of this (which is really weird bc I have SO MANY MODS and its all on a laptop).
I DID have a little bug tho where sims would get out of bed and they would cancel out everything
Was a REALLY easy fix tho. Just wither a, reset sim, or b, go to build/buy, delete the bed, go into play mode, and its fixed
There’s a delay autonomy mod if you are into mods. Doesn’t turn autonomy off but gives it a time based delay based on which sim you are controlling. So they will exclusively listen to you until they are left alone for a set amount of time, then autonomy kicks back in. I don’t always get the pick up/put down loop but when I do it is annoying and this helps cause I am usually swapping between both parents anyway so the delay means the double parent trigger is less likely to occur.
Glitchhy fucking game. The more packs you have the less this game works its insane
Can we take a moment to appreciate that this playstyle is an option? It ain't perfect but the game isn't utterly useless either.
Ah. A good old ISBI challenge. I remember trying this in sims 2, it was definitely an experience
I never make my Sims do homework after reaching A grades. As long as they go to school the grades never really drop

I actually prefer playing like this, it feels more realistic. I think you should try playing like his again
I have real life for realisim, give me my needs bars. I also find having the toddler ask for food has more success than telling the adult to give toddler food as if the toddler has Anything qued up, it will freeze the parent until they are done which is already not realistic.
These are pixelated robotic AI afterall. i need all my tools to manage them.

You can check their profile from the sim you are in to learn their quirks. Seems realistic for a parent to know the kid's quirks.
I love how she uses the pronoun “we”. It gives her gameplay so much life. Her and her sim vs everyone else.
You forgot one (two?) stay home mom chore... kiss hubby every evening and woohoo once a week. LOL
Here's a video idea I just thought of (you'll need to increase the household maximum to 11 with MCCC). It's a sort of "Can I survive a week with every type of life state?" challenge. Not sure if life state is the right word but we'll use it in this example...

you have to change the babys diaper first and then do a bath. the sims team needs to fix it but yeah if you dont then the game just puts the dirty diaper back on.

The reason why the infant is still stinky after the bath is because for some godforsaken reason Sims tend to put them back into a stinky diaper after bathing them 😂
I think it's a bug when a toddler won't eat. Sometimes it happens to children too and it only works again when I close the game

I use direct x 11 even though its not recommended with mods. ITS A GODSEND, USE WITH MODS AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION. it runs like butter and I have 300 mods

i wish the game would let you play this way without having to restrict yourself, but the AI is just too stupid! If they do something egregious (like autonomously deciding to nap in a hot tub instead of going to sleep in a bed...) it just gets too frustrating, but if Project Rene does the AI well enough that you can feel happy only controlling a limited number of sims that would be such a leap forward!
And having typed all that, it as funny to hear the mini rant at 14:50 about the dumb AI of Pavos!

My sims won’t cook in the kitchen do anyone know why this could be. Everytime I make them cook they ignore it n won’t do it
I have this problem sometimes. Try moving around the kitchen switching ovens and counters, or even adding an extra counter.
