Nothing Phone 2 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU with 12 GB of RAM in this video and runs Nothing OS 2.5.5 with Ram booster. Google Pixel 8 Pro features a Google tensor G3 chipset and G715 GPU, 6.7" 120HZ Super Actua Display, 50MP+48MP+48MP Triple AI-based camera, 12GB of RAM, and 5050 mAH battery. Pixel 8 Pro is also running the April Patch of software. NP2, Nothing nailed it with NothingOS 2.5.5. Feels sooo smooth and even the camera is improved. NP2 is brilliant imho.
I left Samsung to try it and I miss very little from my z fold

I don't know why I feel like these speed tests are more relevant lately rather then past years.
maybe because the performance enhancements are being really payed attention to by the companies and these 2 phones specifically have some work to do!
Weird because my 8 pro performs better than iPhones and any Samsung ultra phones I've used. However, I do use mine every day instead of dragging it out of a drawer for random videos. 😂
@@BAMTech22 i doubt a tensor chip is better than the samsung ultra phones you used. Unless it's an older one which doesn't make sense to compare.
@@Shadowzz. No noticeable difference at all. Plus I don't have to worry about missing so many pictures of my kids because of Samsungs shutter lag that's been a major issue for several years. But yeah man enjoy that cool s pen 😂

Nothing phone seems great, but one year past by, only 2 years of software support left...so it's kinda make me think it still worth it at this moment. Maybe Nothing 2a can do the job :)

Torn between these phones right now for my next device. Can get way more data and the 512gb model on the NP2 for slightly less than a 256gb P8 Pro but it has a much better camera and mine has been average at best for about 4y now..

Why does the pixel look soo much laggy in the video, is it a different refresh rate or something, it just looks a lot choppier, just in menus. or when swiping, games look the same
nope it truly is like this currently...google says they fixed the shutters on Android 15 but who knows how' that will turn up. Hopefully they fix it

Wow, I can see how Pixel stutters in scrolling. That's pity to be honest. I had Pixel 8 pro, and was disappointed because of that after Pixel 6. Now I'm just using Galaxy S24u.

idk why.. but this comparison felt more baised towards the pixel.. evn though the np2 beat it in almost evry aspect.

Hello ! Apple is one of the better phones that don't suffer this issue too much, however best way is to vary your screens as in don't leave the same wallpaper all the time, don't stay on one screen all the time, change your brightness levels from time to time, and avoid having the auto lock on for longer than 1-2 minutes.
Do not display the same content for too much time in high brightness and it Will be ok but if the phone itself doesn't have pixel shift software..
Then the icons of the task bar on top part of the display and the navigation bar may cause a burn in.
Most phones do have that includimg iphones and Samsungs

@INTREPIDE3173 no but I think iphones use such software or it would be like Samsung where Samsung forgot to use that software on one ui 5 and they didn't fix it until the end of 5.1 where many people started to complain..
And they fixed it on one ui 6.
If iphones had such issue we probably would know just like we did with Samsung..

VPN makes the phone a little hotter and the performance of the device drops a little, it also affects the ping and internet speed, which affected some of those apps, especially apps like Amazon or Instagram. And the problem is that It was active on the Pixel!
Or you just accept the fact that Pixel are suck in this category, horrible temperature management and coolant.

@@L-h-83TdIJL This does not change what I said. I just pointed out a logical point that if we want a fair comparison, everything must be the same. I did not under any circumstances say that Tensor Chip is better or worse, although Snap Dragon is definitely better in temperature management! Also, if VPN was active on Nothing Phone, I would have said the same thing! I am not a fanboy of a particular phone like some people. Between these two, both phones are respectable!
The tensor chip is no doubt a really bad chip, the cellular reception is unstable at best (compared to other DSP's).
The battery drain due to the same is significantly higher on mobile data (just keeping the mobile data on) while climbing 40 C and higher.
I don't even want to talk about the lack of performance and bugs that you get for free of cost with Google (who's apparently develops android OS!)
PS. used to be a pixel 7 owner (which died in 3 months of use for a stupid quality control issue - Manufacturer side) and now own a nothing phone 2 for more than 7-8 months, which has far fewer bugs, is more stable and efficient.

This is not a budget phone, this is nothing phone 2, not 2a.
@nickackermanchannel it's not a budget phone. But to say the nothing phone 2 Is a flagship isn't true. It's still using the 8 Gen 1 chip. It's probably on par with the fe23.

The Pixel is slower in internet because you are connected with a VPN on it
ive seen the pixel 8 pros multi hit the 4200 mark in geekbench i ran one on my mates and it scored an 1803 and a 4278. so its kind of close. pixels are definetly underpowered a bit. even my galaxy s21 ultra exy version scored a 1502 and a 3972 in multi which is barely behind in my opinion. they need to focus on cpu upgrades

if you guys see carefully at changing the video speed at 0.25x you'll notice that he is slightly pressing the app button first on the nothing phone clearly on many apps , bro doesn't even compare farely and keeps vpn on on the pixel which slows the internet connectivity and makes it use more processor , your comaprison is clearly biased , don't fall for this blud guys.

Yes, it is super smooth now! these 2 phones are neck and neck!
Only one issue I am having on the pixel 8 pro is that I get the navigation pill bar on the right and left side of the screen instead of it being at the bottom like it is supposed to be. I notice this more when on CZcams or Twitter app and it has been happening since the march update.
