There are tons of great fighters in the Dragon Ball Super universe, but today we’re going to talk about some of the most dangerous of them all: the Gods of Destruction. We’ll go over the best and worst and talk about which characters are cool vs. lame. Sidra’s energy field is great and all, but does he really have what it takes to keep up with his job? Beerus the Destroyer and his twin Champa are two of the greatest deities around, but of course we’re all rooting for Universe 7. Although it might not be that impressive to see the clown Belmod, when it comes to fighting he’s one of the mightiest around. In contrast, there’s weak Quitela who would rather hide than take part in a battle. We have to give Mule credit for creating the awesome robot Mosco but overall this character just fails to impress. These Gods of Destruction are definitely held to different standards than most characters but that’s what makes them so interesting! Goku blowing up a planet would be frowned upon but for these character’s it’s just part of the job.

The God of Destruction designs that are really out-there are my favourites. Iwan and Arak are my personal favourites, since they’re designs are so intriguing.

I was kinda hoping that’s where the show would go after the ending of super. Would be a nice change of pace for sure. Focusing on a different universe for a few sagas and bringing back both in the future for something big would be different and fun. Maybe they’re too afraid to rely on new characters to carry on the show.

I mean, yes we want our favorite Z Fighters Gohan, Piccolo, Master Roshi and Krillin back as a more prominent, well-balanced character. But thinks to Whis and his sister Vado's introduction of the multiverse, the Pandora's Box is open for more stories that is need to be fill in. Toryama needs to come up with spin-off for our favorite from TOP like Jiren for example.

He's based on a Sphynx cat that Toriyama owns or owned, if I remember correctly. All the Gods of Destruction seem to have Egyptian stylings to their uniforms.

I think Heles is.... like a Support Role character that somehow is the highest rank in the entire game. Her Bow indicates to me that instead of getting down and dirty like the other Gods, she's a ranged fighter STRICTLY. Meaning she'll have to relay on someone ELSE for Direct fighting. Which from what I see, is why her Universe is tailored to be more... Appearance than Function per say. She ruled it with someone else, more than likely her Angel or one of the other fighters and bent it at a whim to be more about Beauty VS Ugly. Just so her flaw isn't realized to the others of the Universe.
A destroyer shouldn't have to rely on any 'range.'

My favourites are Giin and Liquieer and obviously, beerus too. I know we haven’t seem barely anything from Liqueer and nothing from Giin but I already like them from what I’ve seen.
I feel like you could have said the part about Giin that when he destroys planets and all that, he does it without hesitation which is how a god of destruction should do it. And because of that, there’s not that much in universe 12 do destroy considering how high their mortal level is. Sidra on the other hand is an example of a god of destruction feeling hesitation when destroying things. And of course the part about him being indecicive

Ok so here’s my list of GoD’s with their greatest attributes.
Universe 1 Iwne is what I call the most standard of the GoD’s. Nothing really stands out as different from him to the other gods. His universe is very reliant on the Kai from my understanding so I assume the Kai just knows exactly what to create. Maybe he’s the fastest for all we know. That’s the only stat I don’t really cover on this list.
Universe 2 Heles is the most beautiful. Whoop de doo. She’s more concerned about the appearance of the universe over its health. Kinda ridiculous but she does have a bow that has proper functions of a bow effective on gods. So I assume her fighting style is also based on appearance over effectiveness.
Universe 3 Mosco is the most inventive. (He didn’t become GoD, he built one) Makes you wonder if he’s got multiple robots he can switch around all capable of GoD levels.
Universe 4 Quitela is arguably the strongest in brute strength since he’s the one who defeated Beerus in arm wrestling (in the manga which is where I’m getting most of my decisions)
Universe 5 Arak is the most analytical. Thorough researcher. But I assume that all that analyzing takes out his training a bit more than most and probably lays lower on the god spectrum. He’s still probably the best at doing the duty of a GoD though. Yeah he competes but I think in the long run he wouldn’t perform very well. (He covered his ears of his own attack in the anime fight so that’s why I’m assuming that)
Universe 6 Champa is probably the laziest of the GoD’s if you want my honesty. He constantly puts off his training and combat and doesn’t even destroy himself sometimes. He has Vados do it instead. He also spends every moment in the show trying to get the super dragon summoned. (Still don’t know why) Yeah he can combat with Beerus but I doubt that lasts long. All for the sibling rivalry though. That’s good stuff. (I assume there’s a certain power level that has to be hit for a GoD since they did quite well against each other in the baseball episode)
Universe 7 Beerus is the best at using UI of the gods. And probably the best fighter of the 12 of them. He has competitors obviously (mainly Belmod and Quitela) but UI is just too dang OP to be ignored.
Universe 8 Liquiir is the most destructive. You didn’t read his description well. Liquiir destroys as much as possible compared to the Kai that creates as much as possible. So I can assume any barren planet is immediately destroyed. (He’s also my favorite of the gods)
Universe 9 Sidra is the most defensive. He and his Kai (don’t remember his name nor do I want to) kinda have reversed roles. The U9 Kai is very direct and Sidra is passive. No wonder the universe is doing poor. I do feel sympathy for Sidra though. He’s still pretty boss.
Universe 10 Rumshii is as you say the loudest. That one move is RIDICULOUS! Quite lazy still but he can still just mess people up!
Universe 11 Belmod is probably the flashiest of the gods and is both one of the strongest and smartest. (Who thinks to play dead in the middle of a battle Royale of gods?!) but dear god are his moves just over the top as heck. And I love it.
Universe 12 Geene is probably the smartest. I don’t know his abilities sure but the fact he hides them when his Kai and angel expect him to combat tells me it’s not for cowardice but rather hiding it for a much more opportune time. If he isn’t the smartest he’s at least the most acquainted with the Omni king hierarchy and predicted what the Grand Priest really wanted.

GrtBallOf China in the anime it was Belmod. In the manga it’s Quitela. And the wording was confusing in the anime and I actually thought it was Jiren who won the arm wrestling. But the way they battled in the battle Royale of the GoD’s spoke a different story. Quitela didn’t really show any special technique he was just decking everyone. Belmod was just all over the place with his eagerness to show off. I only used the anime for the exempt universes fight to fill in a few extra blanks.

Lord Beerus is my favourite. Fact: Beerus' is named after beer and Whis is named after whisky Champa after Champaign abd Vados after Calvados. Actually all destroyers and Angels are names after a sort of alcoholic drink.

I like both of there character designs especially Liquiir his design being based off of the mythological Kitsune. 🦊👍🔥 I also like how Liquiir runs universe 8 as it's god of destruction. I would like to see more of his character to be flushed out in the future.

I dont agree about Quitela. I think that he's the strongest if not second strongest GoD. He was said to beat Beerus in an arm wrestling match. Although this doesn't attest to battle power, we know that Quitela and Beerus were the last two GoDs standing in the manga and the Grand Priest opted to stop them when they were about to clash. And I don't think Gene opted out because he was the stronest. It doesn't even make sense because they were only sparring. He probably just knew they'd destroy the entire ring and have to fix it.

Mule is actually my favorite God of destruction. I think he plays with the robot suit rather than it being something he needs

its hard to say which is the coolest or lamest cos we dont know that much bout their character. Only ones we know about are beerus quitela belmod and champa. Beerus should not be the strongest destroyer or 2nd. as it is not good for the story.

You know I never realized how inconsistent the stage in the tourney of power was. Some points it looked as if the gods couldn’t see the stage and everyone was small. Other times it looked big and everyone was somewhat big.

@@s.i_xo well krillin did come to some use after freeza saga. In the androids saga, he had to do the job of feeding senzu after 17,18 destroyed them all. After that he didn't come to much use until in super, where they fought against freeza once again. When roshi sent him and goku to the forest of terror, he defeated the souls of deal villains and came over his fear. His character development is awesome when he comes back from being a policeman to a martial artist, when he has a fight against goku just before the tournament of power, and even knocked out 2 warriors in the tournament. However tienshinhan got completely left out after the saiyan saga. He is dead during freeza saga, does nothing special in cell saga except trying to get himself killed while firing weak tri beams at cell, has no use in buu saga, has about as much usefulness in freeza2.0 saga as krillin and completely forgotten later on, till they show him as a sensei in a dojo and he takes out 1-2 warriors in tournament of power.

Android 18 reaction of Android 17’s wish of restoring all The Erased Universes was completely unecessary as it made her look stupid. It sounded like "How could you revive those useless universes when you could've wished for a boat". As if Bulma couldn't just buy him one.

8:37 I just want to point out that this god of destruction looks almost identical to the hindu God of Wisdom and Success Lord Ganesha who is coincidentally the son of the hindu God of Destruction Lord Shiva
Liquiir is my fav for sure, also you forgot that he was able to react to an arrow from a 1 meter distance that was already fired from behind, that’s right, turn, arm up and lean back before an arrow that’s already fired reaches him at less than a COVID-19 distance. That’s the closest thing to ui i have seen from any destroyer, including beerus. He anticipates the attack and then lets his body react to that anticipation. Liquir’s instincts basically went like this “hm, dodging isn’t a possibility here, i have to let my armored wristband take the point blank hit to minimize damage and block it.” Beerus wouldn’t have anticipated that and an already fired arrow from behind, is something he needs to anticipate to rely on instincts, liquir does it autonomous. Beerus would try to dodge it but that would mean taking it right to the cheek instead of the armor on his waistband armor. You can also see that liquir wasn’t damaged at all, he was agitated with the sneak attack. We can clearly see that liquir wasn’t bothered by belmods destruction cards, he was casually looking at belmod with anger in his face, while being hit. Just like how beerus reacts to cheeky little attacks or tricks from goku in ssg and vegeta ssjb when he was reacting to his attacks and constantly waiting for an opening. When he was playing cheap like that beerus immediately raged, powered up and one shotted vegeta out of blue! They’re very similar but i prefer liquir design, role, lore and power/skill wise.
I can't really tell if you're suggesting that liquiir is stronger than beerus but he most definitely is not. He's one of the stronger gods of destruction but Beerus is a better fighter overall and he has actually fought all of the gods of destruction at once. Granted he had some trouble, but that's something that i very highly doubt liquiir could do. Liquiir has some very powerful ki attacks but we haven't really seen him do much impressive hand to hand fighting. In a one on one i don't think he'd have much of a chance against beerus.
@@vincefosterd As I understood it, our friend Spyro the Dragon has praised two things about Lord Liquiir. First, his defensive instictive capabilities, describing him as a person who can minimise damage better than Lord Beerus. Second, his character traits. In the end he concluded for himself that Beerus and Liquiir share many similarities and has also stated that they might match one another (as characters, power is considered as a secondary trait, I guess), his own preferences lying with the Eighth Universe's Lord of Destruction.
Me, I do not know much, but, based on your reviews I might think they could possibly try to match one another. If both of your and our friend's statements are true, Beerus would be most skilled in hand-to-hand combat, having much power, skill and endurance, while Liquiir would have a little more cautious approach, trying to control the battlefield while taking as little damage as possible, relying on instincts and eloquent techniques.
Of course, being able to take all the other gods on tells Beerus should realistically be able to beat anyone of them with extreme ease separately, but since the anime shows him actually having some issues with Champa or Whis, and even Liquiir, Iwan and Arack match each other perfectly - it is really hard to analyse. Maybe, they imply he is more efficient with crowd control and gods are not very good at groupthink fighting, maybe it has something to do with plot flaws: I may not construe this aspect. But when it comes to character design: I love both Beerus and Liquiir, the first one's story, lore and even character creation being very impressive, but the Eighth Universe's god of destruction seems to be more to my liking, while analysing his work and personal traits. After all, he is considered to do better at his work than Beerus, being quite strict and having more reasonable principles while destroying the worlds. Also, I have the impression he is more humble, light-hearted and caring than Lord Beerus.
@@user-bt1kx3fv6x while my favorite god of destruction is rumsshi, i can definitely see why liquiir is popular. He's exiting and he looks awesome. I would definitely say that liquiir is one of the strongest, and beerus is the only god of destruction that i would feel totally confident putting against him. Maybe belmod but we just haven't seen enough of him to get a good gauge on how he'd fair against liquiir. And as much as it hurts me to say, liquiir would most likely curbstomp my boy rumsshi

Actually, I think most of the gods of Destruction are cool and have at least one peculiar remarkable trait to make them charismatic, including the fact Rumsshi is pretty chill! He might not be on my list of favorite Lords of Destruction (Liquiir, Beerus and Iwan are the top ones, I think), but I must admit he has my sympathy!
