    This is SO helpful with the nuances of this piece. The sheet music looks fairly easy but it is SO difficult to play this well and with the sensitivity and modulation and rubato it requires. Also, you have helped with the triplets which I found tricky at first. Thank you for posting this!

    I found many tutorials about piano techniques, many of them very helpful, with wrist rotations etc. which was new forme, but you are the first who teaches this finger/hand movements like my American teacher showed me many years ago.

    You have a great understanding of this piece. Even the thrill that you used is very appropriate for the period. Your playing is also very accurate. This piece is actually not as easy as it looks.

    I’m so glad I stumbled upon your tutorial. I love the different colours in your playing and the tips on touch and control. My story for this piece is loneliness as well, but that with realisation and acceptance and finding peace with it. Thanks for the reminder which made me think of my musical message.

    Thank you for your tutorials, i have just found them, they are really great, because you are going into the detail, focusing on expression and very slowly with both hands separate, so I can work on this wonderful Scarlatti piece in a real time. So I can maybe try even more difficult pieces. Thanks for the sheet music, it is a big help!

    I took lessons from my teacher on this piece! He never satisfied with what I did with this piece. But, he never could point out what to do. Finally, I found your video, I listened to your analysis and also how you designed the direction of this piece. After I listened to your video, I got the idea what needs to be done. Then, I played it for my teacher. He said "he has nothing else to add, and satisfied with my performance!" In my mind, WTF, I paid you to help me to understand this piece but you could not help me. Actually, he is not the only useless teacher that I have. I have many of them. I think my way of learning should be like what you shown in the video, by visual. I also played this piece in my yearly recital with my piano friends, they were so impressed by my performance! Thx you very much for all your videos. Luckily, you like Scarlatti too.

    Nice, can you comment on the harmonies? In my opinion he flips it from the both up and down.
    Suggestion of 2 against 3: slow practicing did not help me, what did help, though, was using a sentence: kom ferdinand: kom-fer-nand 1-2-3, kom-di 1-2. Works every time.

      I loved the Scarlatti in F minor, which seems so suited to the loneliness and isolation of the times. (And thank you so much for explaining how 3 is played against two. I'd certainly have done that wrong without your instruction. You are providing a great service!) I find I can't bring myself to play anything too upbeat or frivolous right now. Is there another piece that you love with a similar vibe? I find it brings solace to play what I feel.

    • @Antune
      @Antune  Před 3 lety

      Thank you!
      About the trills, they are indeed challenging, especially when playing softly. I recommend practicing only with the right hand for sometime. Also you could first practice the trill without the upper layer, and add it later on. Try as slow as you can. It will help!
      Good luck.

    How do I use pedaling? When I don’t use it when it is not indicated in my sheet music it sounds too choppy. For example, it says not to play pedal from bar four on for a while.

    You have perfect pianistic hands.Maybe an 11th or 12th.Would your recommendations work for a small handed pianist with a span of a 9th.I have a keyboard scaled down to 7/8 however only 61 notes...quite comfortable....but on a normal scaled piano very uncomfortable..... especially intervals of a 6th in the same hand...and some 4ths.Saying that this particular piece does not have chords requiring that span however the adjoining notes played in sequence creates stress on the hands for small handed pianist.
    Violins and Guitars are scaled....why not pianos...your feeling of playing would be so much different from mine so our articulations would be so different because of our different anatomy which affects our mindset and interpretation.
    Saying that I love your genius and mindset...you nailed it.

    • @Antune
      @Antune  Před 2 lety

      Hi there, thank you for the comment!
      Everything I explain in the video applies to people with smaller hands. Although there is a difference in motion depending on the hand shape, most techniques are implemented with a similar approach.
      Depending on what suits their hand shape best, one must adjust the motion, preferably with a teacher.
      Maybe you can search for one around you who can help with that one-to-one?
      Good luck!
