- Vintage toy from 1961. Had one when I was a kid. Lasted one day. Because, I tried "launching" it into a swimming pool. I missed. Hit the concrete deck instead, Broke it all into pieces. 60 years later, I got another chance.
Under the tree in 1961. This was the best toy I ever received Thank you for posting the original commercial. I hadn't seen it since it was originally broadcast..

Thanks! Actually, it took a bit of restoration in the battery box to get it to work. I was thankful that I could repair it and get it to work again.
@@xKmotx It's still amazing for a toy that's over 50 years old (I'm guessing??) and was meant to be played with in the water! I'd be lying if I said I didn't kinda want one, lol.

@@xKmotx That is insanity. Hopefully that old Remco plastic is holding up and not getting too brittle. And thank you very much for getting him going again and sharing with the rest of us. I started looking down the Remco toys rabbit hole earlier and saw mention of a working scuba diver. Yours was the only video I could find!
