Stelena are compatible af, unlike delena, their biggest conflict aren't each other. Instead they fight external conflicts like klaus, katherine and damon. The lack of internal conflict shouldn't be mistaken as platonic chemistry. If you doubt the chemistry, just google 'zalrb stelena chemistry posts', and that'll be all.
So the qstn is, if they are too 'compatible' with each other..what's stopping them to be together?

I think Stelena was definitely a good ship while she was human but after she became a vampire, Stefan treated her like she was broken and needed to be fixed and Damon made her feel most alive so that’s why I ship both.
Stefan didnt treat her like she was broken. Elena never wanted to be a vampire and Stefan knew that. He was only trying to help her.

Many hardcore Stelena fans claim that Elena only loved Damon because of the sire bond and most hardcore Delena fans claim that Elena only loved Stefan because of the Doppleganger universe curse thing while the way I see it she loved them both at different times for different reasons sometimes was in love with both simultaneously and not just because of the sire bond and doppleganger curse

i totally agree with you. Im a stelena shipper and i dont think that she loved him because of the sire bond, but because she became a vampire, and damon turned her, so her vampire feelings got stronger. I know they were true love, but elena fell in love with stefan, and chose him, but delena just happend because of damon turned her. I know people dont agree, but that is just my opinion

Stefan was always the better man. He proved his loyalty to both of them when he left town with Klaus. He did it to save them both; Damon wouldn't die and Klaus wouldn't know that Elena was alive.
In the end, Damon and Elena almost deserved eachother and Stefan ended up deserving better. He got better in Caroline and I hate that he had to die for Damon and Elena to be happy but alas, Stefan will always choose Damon and Damon will always choose Elena.

The writers moved the relationships to quickly
Elena ended up in an intimate relationship with both brothers. A person of Elena's moral consciousness would not have had an intimate relationship with brothers. The writers should have developed the relationships until she made her final choice before introducing the deep physical (intimate) part of the couple's relationship. The love triangle would have still been presence. I must state although the relationship between Stefan and Damon was a great part of the series, I think the writers missed it when they separated Stefan and Elena. Stefan and Elena have couple chemistry every time they are on the set together. Leaving them together through out the series would have taken some creative muscle, but it would have been EPIC.

I loved her with both brothers for different reasons. Stefan love was just so pure , the type of person you’d see yourself getting married to while Damon love was more realistic. He made more mistakes but it was out of the love he had for Elena. I’m more of a delena fan but loved them both.

@Lameta Taleb Delena was together since season 4 and Elena never looked back let's not add the many moments they shared during the first 3 seasons prior to getting together.
They were also together even with Nina being off the show....The writers still found ways to keep their relationship alive Stelena's relationship didn't even last for a full year it lasted 7-8 months tops.
Delena's love was/is eternal.
I have an awkward theory to prove Damon was always the one and his love was true.
It's like our parents put our safety and us first even if it doesn't always match our own choices they always know what's best for us it's the same with soulmates they always know what's best for us and never hesitate to do that even if we get mad... Damon always did that for Elena
But Stefan didn't because he was always worried about his hero image he didn't want Elena to be mad at him or hate him
But Damon truly loved her and he always thought about what's best for her and put her first even if he got Elena's hatred!

Well, but also at the end she was dead (vampire), and who made her feel alive in that new state was damon. Not happy with the end of the show or couple... for me stefan was the “one”. But I understand the story that the writers create based on that single line in the script “you should love the person that makes you glad that you are alive”.

I don’t hate the love triangle trope but I feel like it should have bine gone at a little different. We’re Damon still had his feeling for Elena while she was with Stefan but kept it to himself till around the time she became a vampire and the two split because Stefan and Elena at the time were just different people and each crossed lines that the other couldn’t have forgiven and then have Elena be with Damon. It could still have some of the drama people liked about it but made it a little better in my option. Also while Damon is not dating Elena have him actually grow a bit more as a character we’re he still that impulsive reckless rouge but not how the show made him go back to season one doesn’t care about anyone character except souls Elena. I can’t remember there name but someone did a video doing a character analysis for Damon were they said they could’ve use the love triangle from the start as a story that brought two brother back together because of a girl instead of two brothers fighting over here. I love both Stelena and Delena. Both are good in their own way. Just can't choose. But Caroline is definitely better for Stefan. It's sad that writers made Caroline suffer again. She already has lost her mom, her dad couldn't accept her as vampire, she lost Bonnie several times, she lost Elena for several years, her friends couldn't understand her when they realized that Caroline is attracted to Klaus, she couldn't be with Klaus because she loved Tayler, and was suffering because she still was interested in Klaus. And not saying about how hard it was for her to be vampire. She didn't want to be killer but she became killer. And she has to live with guilt until her last breath and even after. And the worst thing in her entire life the fact that she's doomed to loose her daughters in MERGE. Because after MERGE there won't be just Lizzie and Josie. They'll become new person. She tries to find a way how to escape it for many years now, but she hasn't found a way. It's heartbreaking. I want with all my heart things to be different but it's not like she can find a way. She's gonna loose her daughters like she has already lost her husband Stefan and lover Klaus, ex boyfriend Tayler. And it was said that Alaric is going to die soon. And I feel so sorry for Caroline. We can write comment like this about every character from the TVDU. And it doesn't matter if character is good one or a bad one or both at the same time. So I feel like TVD isn't about love. It's about how to be powerful when it's hard, it's about life and acceptance.
